NID Aptitude Test - Age Limit

• As per the official notification, Indian Nationals belonging to the general category and general EWS category must have been born on or after 01 July 2003, whereas those belonging to the SC/ST/OBC-NCL category must have been born on or after 01 July 2000 to apply for the NID entrance exam.
• If you belong to the PwD category, you must have been born on or after 01 July 1998 to be eligible for admission.
• For Foreign nationals in the overseas category, only those candidates born or after 1 July 2003 are eligible to apply for admission.

Educational Qualification

• You must have completed the final examination of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board (AISSE/ICSE/CBSE) to be eligible for the exam.
• Those appearing for the higher secondary examination in the academic year 2024 can also apply for the NID DAT exam.
• Applications for the academic year 2023-24 are open to candidates who have passed or will appear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or equivalent.

22nd June 2021: Prelims Answer Key Rechecking Window Opened

• The National Institute of Design has opened the objection window for the NID DAT preliminary answer key. 
• You must pay Rs 2000/- for re-evaluation of the NID DAT prelims answer booklet.
• The last date to submit the request is 28 June 2021.

19th June 2021: What Next after NID DAT Prelims Result?

• Shortlisted candidates must appear for the mains examination. Due to the current situation, the mains session is scheduled in online mode.
• You need to upload the theme poster and portfolio in PDF format. 
• Visit the official website to upload the poster on or before 28th June 2021. 
• Remember that the file should not exceed 10 MB. 

19th June 2021: Prelims Result for B.Des Announced

• The National Institute of Design announced preliminary results for the B.Des course on the official website: admissions.nid.edu.
• Enter your login credentials to view and download the NID DAT Result PDF.
