They will be accepting admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) through IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) scores only. 

So, now the aspirants who are giving the IPMAT entrance examination can get admission to any of the 3 best management colleges, i.e., IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Indore, IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Ranchi, and now IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) also.

What is an Integrated Program in Management?

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore and the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Kakinada offers the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). This program is a 5 year, a fully residential course in management. After completing this integrated program in management, students will get a dual degree of BBA + MBA. 

So, by doing just one course, you will both graduate and postgraduate at the same time.

This program focuses on integrating managerial science and decision-making with technology, engineering, and mathematics.

  • The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore). This exam is an entrance exam for the students to get admission to the 5-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi), Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore), and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Kakinada.
  • The IPMAT Entrance Exam is a National level examination i.e. any student from any corner of India is eligible to give this Aptitude Test for the admission in the 5 year Integrated Program of Management.
  • The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) comprises of 2 stages i.e. Aptitude Test and Personal Interview (PI).
  • The students will be awarded the MBA + BBA degree.
  • After completing their 5-year integrated program in management (IPM) successfully, candidates would be awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) at the end of 3 years and a Master of Business Administration (International Business) at the end of 5 years by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. 
  • While the first three years of the IPM program would be based on the semester system, the last two years would be based on the trimester system.

IIFT IPM Program: Mode of Admission

  • Admission to IIM Indore is on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination
  • The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the final selection test followed by a written ability test (WAT) and a personal interview round. 
  • This written ability test and personal interview was conducted physically at IIM Bangalore, IIM Chennai, IIM Delhi, IIM Kolkata, IIM Mumbai, and IIM Ranchi.
  • But from 2020, due to the pandemic Written Ability test (WAT) has been removed from the admission process. Now, the candidate has to give only a personal interview in online mode.
  • After the completion of the Personal Interview process, admission offers for IIFT would be made based on a Consolidated Merit List (CML), which will be prepared on the basis IPMAT score conducted by IIM Indore, Personal Interview round score, Academic Profile, and Gender diversity.

What is IPMAT?

The IIM Indore IPMAT aptitude test is divided into 2 sections i.e. Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.

  •  The Quantitative Ability section comprises 60 questions. Out of that 60 questions, 40 questions are objective type questions (MCQs) and 20 questions are descriptive type questions (Short answers type).
  • The Verbal Ability sections comprise 40 objective-type questions (MCQs).
  • The time allotted to complete the aptitude test is 120 minutes. These 120 minutes are divided into 3 parts of 40 minutes each.
  • The marks allotted for each correct answer is 4 marks and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.

Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test is the an entrance exam held for admissions in the Five-Year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) in Indian Institute of Management (IIM).

Candidates having 60% or above in Class 10th & 12th can apply. Also, candidates who appeared for their Class 12 in 2019 2020, 2021, and 2022 can apply for the exam.
