• To pursue Integrated Program in Management (IPM), and to get admission in this program, you have to give an entrance examination named Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) while you are appearing in grade XII or after completing your class 12th.
• The IPMAT Indore is an objective or MCQ based exam which is conducted annually by IIM Indore. The entrance consists of two broad subjects viz., Quantitative skills (or Math) and Verbal Ability skills (or English).
• For admission, after clearing the entrance examination, students must clear a personal interview round conducted by the IIM Indore itself. In this interview round, they may definitely ask questions regarding your academic brilliance besides general knowledge. 
• There is no weightage of grade X and XII in the whole admission process.
• As per the IPMAT Exam Pattern, the question paper comprises 3 sections, i.e., Quantitative Ability (MCQs), Quantitative Ability (Short answer questions), and Verbal Ability (MCQ).
• The basic eligibility for this entrance test is that your age should complete 20 years as on August 1, 2024, for General, OBC and EWS categories and 5 years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PWD.

Weightage in IIM Indore Admission Process:

For IIM Indore admission, shortlisted candidates from IPMAT shall appear for the Personal Interview (PI) through online/offline mode which will be intimated to the candidates by the Institute. Only those candidates satisfying the requirements in two stages viz., application form and entrance test, will be considered for the final selection. Merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) explained below:

IIM Indore Admission Process

1. STAGE 1- The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online which is candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2004 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1999).
    
2. STAGE 2- Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 34 cities (tentatively) in the country. The date of conducting AT is Thursday, May 23, 2024 (afternoon shift). The pattern of AT will be as follows:

   Each question will carry 4 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1 negative mark for each wrong answer except Quantitative Ability (SA) Section (these questions will not carry any negative marking).

3. STAGE 3- In this stage, the eligible pool for Stage-4 {i.e. Personal Interview (PI)} is created considering only the candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the three sections of Aptitude Test. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be decided by the Admissions Committee. There are sectional cut-offs.

4. STAGE 4- Sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) from the eligible pool (refer Stage- 3) for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD) using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS).

5. STAGE 5: Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS).

IIM Indore admission after 12th Commerce

Getting into IIM, the first challenge is to crack the IPMAT exam. Whether you are from the Commerce stream or any other stream, you will have to crack the exam to get into IIM.
