The Consortium of National Law Universities has extended the application form date for CLAT until 15th June 2021. If you have still not applied, then there are few important things you need to be aware of.

Guidelines for Uploading CLAT Photograph

After filling the CLAT Application Form, you must upload documents like photo, signature, caste certificate, etc., in the specified format. Follow the guidelines provided below while filling the online form.

  • A photograph should be a recent passport size color photo with name and date.
  • The background of the photo must be either in white color or light color.
  • The face of the individual must be clear and visible in the photo.
  • The image should be professional-looking.
  • Make sure there is no red-eye in the photo.
  • If you are wearing glasses, make sure there are no reflections on the eye, and your eyes can be seen clearly.
  • Most importantly, the image should be in JPEG/JPG format.
  • As per the notification, the CLAT  photo size should be between 20kb to 50kb.

Guidelines for Uploading CLAT Signature

  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
  • The image must be done by an applicant, not by any other person.

How to Correct My Photo & Signature for CLAT

The Law Consortium authority may provide the correction facility in the CLAT 2020 Application Form, but it is not confirmed yet. Candidates who are filling the application form are suggested to upload the CLAT Form Photo Size and signature as per the instructions set by the Law Consortium.

  • As per the references from the last year, it is not possible to make any changes to the photo and signature after the final submission.

  • Try to avoid taking pictures from smartphones.
  • Avoid dark background in the photograph.
  • Do not wear tinted or dark glasses. Use only clear glasses while taking a photo.
  • The face of the candidate should be clearly visible.

  • Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable.

What is the mode of CLAT Registration Form 2021?

CLAT Registration is an online process. The digitization across India has made it easier for students to fill the form using the technology.
The Consortium will activate the application link and the students have to fill the form in online mode. The documents to be uploaded and application fee shall also be paid online.
The final submission is also done in online mode. Thus, candidates do not have to post the printed copy of the application form to the authority.

How to apply for CLAT 2021 Exam?

First, Candidates need to register on the CLAT official website in order to apply for the exam. The authority has made the registration process online. Interested candidates must enter the valid mobile number, Email-Id, and password of their choice to register for the exam.

Once you are done with the registration process, you will get OTP to your registered mobile number. You can use the OTP to activate your CLAT account.

All candidates appearing for the exam must have hands-on using the technology since the exam itself is in online mode.
Only Application fee payment can be done in offline mode apart from online mode. No CLAT application form must be printed and submitted to the Consortium.

In case you forget the password for the CLAT login, you can recover it easily by clicking on the 'Forgot Password' link at the bottom of the login window. For recovering the password an OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number. You need to enter the OTP and click on the 'Reset Account' button to create a new password. You can use the same for future purposes.

Do I need to submit the hard copy of the CLAT 2021 Application form to the consortium?

No need to submit the hard copy of the application form to the consortium. students have to fill the form in online mode. The documents to be uploaded and application fees shall also be paid online.
The final submission is also done in online mode. Thus, candidates do not have to post the printed copy of the application form to the authority.

What if I misspelled the name of my parent in the CLAT Registration Form?

The name of the candidate and parents should be spelled correctly in the online application as it appears in the certificates or mark sheets or ID proof. If you make any change or alteration, it may result in the disqualification of candidature. Candidates are suggested to check all the information correctly before the final submission of the form.
