The National Law of Consortium has started the online registration process for the Common Law Admission Test 2023.

While filling out the registration form, you need to upload a few scanned documents such as passport size photograph and signatures only as per the specification given in the notification.

You may end up rejecting applications in case of incorrectly filed data and uploaded documents.

Guidelines for Uploading CLAT Photograph

After filling out the CLAT application form, you must upload a photo, signature, caste certificate, etc., in the specified format. Follow the guidelines provided below while filling out the online form.

  • A photograph should be a recent passport size color photo with name and date.
  • The background of the photo must be either in white color or light color.
  • The face of the individual must be clear and visible in the photo.
  • The image should be professional-looking.
  • Make sure there is no red-eye in the photo.
  • If you are wearing glasses, make sure there are no reflections on the eye, and your eyes can be seen clearly.
  • Most importantly, the image should be in JPEG/JPG format.
  • As per the official notification, the CLAT photo size should be between 20kb to 50kb.

Guidelines for Uploading CLAT Signature

Before proceeding with the application form, you must check whether you have satisfied the eligibility criteria for CLAT or not.

Go through the simple guidelines mentioned below to know how to upload the CLAT signature while filling out the application form. 

  • You must sign on white paper with a Black Ink pen.
  • The signature must be done by you, not by any other person.
  • Your signature should be in a flow of running hand, and it must be in small letters.
  • The signature on the CLAT admit card and attendance sheet on exam day should match the signature uploaded in the online form. Otherwise, it may lead to disqualification.
  • The scanned image should be in JPEG/ JPG format.

How to Scan CLAT Photo & Signature?

You need to scan the CLAT photo & signature in the specified format. While scanning the documents, follow the important instructions provided below:

  • The resolution of the scanner should be a minimum of 200 dots per inch.
  • Set the color as True color.
  • Scan the Photo & Signature as mentioned in the format above.
  • After scanning the documents, crop the image to remove the unwanted area.
  • Save the file in JPEG/JPG format.

How to Correct My Photo & Signature for CLAT 2023

The Law Consortium authority may provide the correction facility in the CLAT 2023 Application Form, but it is not confirmed yet.

Those who are filling out the application form are suggested to upload the CLAT Photo and signature as per the instructions set by the Law Consortium.

  • As per the references from the last year, it is not possible to make any changes to the photo and signature after the final submission.
  • If you fail to submit the CLAT 2023 Photo size as per the guidelines, you have to apply for a fresh application with a re-payment of the fee.
  • Remember, the consortium will not refund the application fee for previously submitted applications.
  • You must upload all the documents in the specified format, otherwise, the applications will be rejected by the authority.

The Consortium will activate the application link and the students have to fill the form in online mode. The documents to be uploaded and application fee shall also be paid online.
The final submission is also done in online mode. Thus, candidates do not have to post the printed copy of the application form to the authority.

First, Candidates need to register on the CLAT official website in order to apply for the exam. The authority has made the registration process online. Interested candidates must enter the valid mobile number, Email-Id, and password of their choice to register for the exam.

Once you are done with the registration process, you will get OTP to your registered mobile number. You can use the OTP to activate your CLAT account.

Before filling the application form, candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria. All the candidates must have passed the secondary board of examination with an aggregate of 45 % marks (for UG aspirants) and 55 % marks (for PG aspirants) to meet the Eligibility Criteria for Common Law Admission Test.
You will receive a confirmation message on the window screen after the final submission of the application form. You will also get a confirmation message to your registered mobile number and mail ID.
