DU JAT Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria of the DU JAT 2020 vary from college to college. Candidates can check the age limit, educational qualification, and nationality required to apply for the DU JAT 2020 provided in this post. 

Age Limit

As per the DU JAT eligibility criteria, there is no age limit to apply for the exam.

Educational Qualification

Check the educational qualification required to apply for the DU JAT 2020 Exam.

  • Candidates must have qualified in the senior secondary examination from CBSE or from any equivalent board.
  • Students belonging to the General category should have scored at least 60% marks in the 12th examination whereas candidates belong to SC/ST/CW/PWD categories should have scored at least 55% in the senior secondary examination.
  • Candidates who have appeared in the 12th examination and waiting for results can also apply for the exam.
  • The aggregate marks should be of four subjects: English, Mathematics, and the other two approved by the Delhi University.
  • Candidate should have passed in all the above four subjects.
  • Students with compartment results are not eligible to apply for the DU JAT 2020.
  • Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PwD/CW category have to submit the category certificate during the final admission.
  • Also, candidates who had appeared in the 12th class improvement papers are not eligible to apply for the current year. They might apply in the next year.

What is the minimum age limit to apply for DU JAT Exam 2020?

As per the DU JAT Eligibility criteria, there is no age limit to apply for DU JAT Exam 2020. However, candidates must have completed their senior secondary school of examination to apply for the exam.

I did not have Mathematics as my subject in class XII can I apply for DU JAT 2020?

No. As per the DU JAT eligibility, candidates not having Mathematics as a subject in class 12th are not eligible to apply for DU JAT 2020. Candidates must have scored a minimum percentage of marks in four subjects including Maths, English, and the other two subjects approved by the Delhi University to apply for the DU JAT Exam.

Can I appear for DU JAT if I have a compartment in one subject of the class XII exam?

Yes. You can apply for the DU JAT exam if your compartment results have been declared before the completion of admission process. You have to update the compartment marks while filling the application form.

How can a foreign national apply for DU JAT 2020?

Foreign national candidates can apply for DU JAT 2002 Exam separately on Foreign Students’ Registry website. They need to contact the Deputy Dean (Foreign Students’ Registry), Conference Centre, University of Delhi-110007 to apply for the exam.

As per the DU JAT eligibility, 10% of minimum marks are specified for General Category candidates, 27% of seats will be reserved for OBC candidates, and 22% of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SC/St category.
