Overview:With the commencement of CUET 2026 registrations expected to begin in February, candidates should gather the necessary documents for a smooth application process. Here is the list of essential documents required for cuet registration.
Each phase of the CUET exam requires you to upload important documents, without which the admission process will not be completed.

The CUET exam has three significant phases which require your documents for identification. These include:

Documents Required for CUET Registration 2026
These are the CUET registration documents required to complete your application:

Recent photograph
It should be either in colour or black and white, with 80% of the face (without mask) visible, including ears, against a white background.
Scanned photograph and signature
Should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly visible)
Size of scanned photograph
It should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly visible)
Size of scanned signature
It should be between 10 kb to 50 kb (clearly visible)
Scanned copy of the Category certificate(SC/ST/OBC/EWS, etc.)
It should be between 50kb and 300kb in PDF (clearly visible)
Scanned copy of the PwBD certificate
Should be between 50kb to 300 kb in pdf (clearly visible)
Note:
Double-check your photo and signature before submitting the application form to CUET to ensure they are clear and visible. If they are blurry or unclear, your form will not be, and no changes will be allowed.
All the documents required for CUET registration that are to be uploaded must be genuine.
If it is discovered that somebody else's documents needed for CUET registration have been used, this will be considered unfair.
Along with the documents required for CUET registration, you must know the necessary documents to carry to the exam hall to take the exam.
Instructions for filling out the CUET Online Application Form 2026
Register online and obtain a system-generated Application Number.
Enter the required details, create a password, and set a security question.
After submission, use the Application Number and Password to complete the form and future logins.
Step 2: Application Form
Log in using the Application Number and Password.
Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and university/program choices.
Select test papers and exam cities, and upload required documents/images.
Step 3: Fee Payment
Pay the exam fee online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
Additional processing charges & GST apply.
The Confirmation Page is generated only after successful payment.
If not generated, contact the Bank/Payment Gateway for resolution.
NTA will provide no fee refunds under any circumstances.
Step 4: Confirmation Page
Steps can be completed together or separately.
Application is confirmed only after successful fee payment.
Download, save, and print the Confirmation Page for future reference.
General Instructions for the CUET 2026 Candidates
Candidates must ensure all details such as name, category, education details and CUET courses, etc entered are correct, as changes will not be allowed after submission.
Details like name, contact, category, gender, DOB, exam city, etc., are final and cannot be modified later.
Use your own email and mobile number for communication; NTA is not responsible for missed updates.
NTA does not allow corrections once the application is completed.
NTA is not responsible for incorrect information entered by candidates.
Visit the official website and check emails regularly for the latest notifications.
Candidates must appear at their own cost at the allotted exam centre, date, and shift as per their admit card.
No physical documents need to be sent to NTA. All submissions, payments, and downloads are online only.
NTA/Government may use the provided data for research, analysis, and other permissible purposes.
Candidates must submit only one application using a valid and accessible email and mobile number.
CUET Exam Documents Required Inside the Exam Hall
Apart from the above documents required for CUET registration, the list of documents mentioned below must be carried to the exam hall:
A printed copy of the CUET Admit Card and Self Declaration (Undertaking) was downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4-size paper) and duly filled in.
One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at the Centre during the examination.
A PwBD certificate issued by the authorised medical officer if the relaxation is claimed under the PwBD category.
Any one of the authorised photo IDs (must be original, valid, and non-expired):
School Identity Card
PAN card/ Driving License
Voter ID/ Passport Aadhaar Card (With photograph)
E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph
Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph
Bank Passbook with Photograph.
Once the exam is over, the CUET answer key and results are released to start the counselling process.
