In 2023, the highest marks scored by the CLAT UG topper, Abhinav Somani, were 116.75. In contrast, the CLAT PG topper scored 95.25 marks.

Moreover, two candidates, one from Maharashtra and another from UP, achieved a 100 percentile score in the CLAT UG. The top percentile in CLAT PG was 99.99, scored by the candidate from Chandigarh.

  1. Download the Scorecard from the Official Website - Log in to the Consortium’s website with your login credentials to find it on your dashboard.
  2. Download the Scorecard via Link - Visit the direct link on the official website. Enter your Application Number & Date of Birth. Print scorecard.

CLAT 2023 UG Percentile

  • The percentile score is calculated based on the raw scores of the candidates and is used to determine the candidate's rank.
  • The CLAT UG Percentile score is available along with the CLAT UG result, which is usually declared a few weeks after the exam.
  • A higher percentile score indicates a better rank and increases the chances of securing admission to a preferred law school.

How to Check CLAT Result?

To check the CLAT Result 2024 for both UG and PG programs, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs, i.e.consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the CLAT Login portal on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter your CLAT Roll Number, Date of Birth, and other details as required.

Step 4: Click the Loginbutton to view your CLAT Result 2024.

Step 5: Your CLAT Result 2024 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Click the "View Result" button on the new page.

Step 7: Download the CLAT scorecard and CLAT Result 2024 PDF on the screen.

Step 8: Take a printout of the CLAT Result 2024 PDF for future reference.

Grievance Redressal After CLAT Result 2024

  • If you have any grievance related to their CLAT result, you can submit a complaint to the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) within the stipulated time frame.
  • The CNLU has a grievance redressal committee that reviews the complaint and takes appropriate action.
  • The committee's decision on the complaint is final and binding, and candidates must abide by it.

Here are the steps you must follow to register a grievance after CLAT Result:

  • Login to the examinations portal for the CLAT Exam.
  • Click the 'Submit Grievance' option on the portal.
  • Ensure that you have valid proof to support your claims, such as a discrepancy in the score or rank.
  • Attach all necessary documents and evidence to support your claim and click SUBMIT.
  • If your grievance is accepted, the committee may take appropriate action, such as rectifying the error in the result or providing a new rank/scorecard.

How to Retrieve CLAT 2024 Login Details If Forgotten?

All students who plan to appear for the CLAT must register for the exam and create a login account to help them fill out the application form, download the CLAT Admit Card, check their results, and more. However, there are times when students may forget their login details and cannot access their accounts.

You can follow the steps mentioned below if you forget your login credentials to download the merit list of the CLAT Entrance Exam:

  • Go to the official website of the Consortium of NLUs.
  • On the homepage, click on the Login portal.
  • In the login window, click on Forgot Password to proceed.
  • You will now be redirected to the Forgot Password page.
  • Enter your registered mobile number and email address associated with your account.
  • After entering your details, click on the Submit button.
  • Click on Request OTP.
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP in the required field and click the Verify button.
  • Enter a new password, confirm it and click on the Reset Password button

Tiebreaker Rules for CLAT Result 2024

If two or more candidates obtain the same marks, the Consortium of National Law Universities will follow specific tiebreaker rules.

  1. The candidate who secures higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section of the CLAT exam will be given preference.
  2. The older candidate will be given preference. 
  3. If both candidates are the same age, the computerised drawing of lots will decide the result of the tie.

CLAT Scorecard 2023

  • The CLAT score card is an important document issued by the CLAT Consortium to all the candidates who successfully clear the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
  • The scorecard contains essential information about the candidate’s performance in the exam, such as the marks scored, percentile, rank, etc.
  • During the counselling, it is mandatory to carry this Common Law Admission Test Scorecard without fail. It determines the student's eligibility for admission to the various NLUs.
  • Also, note that the CLAT PG scorecard will be valid only for one year. Therefore, the candidate needs to download the scorecard.

CLAT Merit List 2023

The CLAT Merit List is released online on the official website as a PDF, along with the declaration of the CLAT Result. The candidates who have secured the highest marks will be listed at the top of the merit list.

The Consortium will prepare two lists, i.e., General Rank List and Category-wise Rank List. The CLAT 2023 merit list will include the following:

  • A total number of students who appeared for the Common Law Admission Test.
  • Your performance in the exam with the State Rank.
  • The standards on which you are selected.

How to Calculate the CLAT Score 2024?

The results are prepared by calculating the raw scores. Once the raw scores are calculated, Consortium will prepare the CLAT merit list.

The marking scheme to evaluate the CLAT Exam Result is given in the following table:

Total Score = 1*(Total number of correct answers) - 0.25*(Total number of wrong answers)

What After CLAT Result 2023?

  • As per the previous trends, around 60,000 candidates are expected to appear for CLAT 2024. 
  • The number of candidates invited for CLAT counselling is generally five times the number of seats available in the participating NLUs.
  • Based on this, it can be estimated that around 15,000 candidates may be invited for UG CLAT counselling, and about 5,000 candidates may be invited for CLAT LLM counselling. 
  • The Consortium will release the cutoff marks after the announcement of the CLAT Exam Results.
  • Based on the cut-off marks, you will be shortlisted for CLAT Counselling 2023.
  • You will be offered admission to UG and PG courses based on the Common Law Admission Test scores during counselling.

Here are the steps you must follow for the CLAT Counselling 2023:

  • To attend the counselling procedure, you must register online on the official website of NLU. 
  • Once the first provisional list is released, you must choose three options: accept the allotted seat, apply for an upgrade, or exit the admission process. 
  • If the first option is chosen, you must upload all the required documents and pay a requisite fee to the allotted NLU.
  • If you choose the second option, i.e., accept an upgrade, you must pay Rs 50000/- to the allotted University and upload documents as per the schedule. 
  • If the last option is chosen, the allotted seat will be lost, and you will not be considered for further allotment.

Previous year's CLAT Cut off

The CLAT Cut Off will be released separately for 24 NLUs. The Consortium of NLUs will release college-wise and category-wise cut-off marks.

Note that the cut-off would be released separately for each seat allotment round of CLAT.
