  • NCHMCT JEE 2023 will be conducted in CBT mode and the Medium of examination will be English and Hindi.

NCHMCT JEE 2023: Exam Pattern 

NCHMCT JEE examination pattern consists of specifics such as maximum marks, section-wise weightage, marking scheme, and duration of the examination. Aspirants can go through the NCHMCT JEE exam pattern for the examination as released by NTA.

  • There are a total of five sections to be attempted in the total duration of 180 minutes. 
  • NCHMCT JEE question paper will be in English and Hindi only.
  • The question paper will comprise 200 Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) of different topics.
  • For each correct response, the candidate will be rewarded 04 (four) marks and for each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total marks. 

The type of question varies from section to section. Here is the type of questions that will be asked in all the sections:

  • Numerical Ability and Analytical aptitude

Numerical aptitude tests evaluate how well a person works with numbers. This may include interpreting graphs and tables or using math and algebra to solve calculations. In this section, questions will be from simplification, number series, arithmetic questions, algebra, etc

  • Reasoning and Logical Deduction

Logical Deduction is reasoning which constructs or evaluates deductive arguments. Deductive arguments are attempts to show that a conclusion necessarily follows from a set of premises or hypotheses. A deductive argument is valid if the conclusion does follow the premises, i.e., the conclusion must be true provided that the premises are true.   • General Knowledge and current affairs

This section will consist of questions from static GK and Current Affairs. For General Knowledge Preparation Lucent’s general knowledge is more than sufficient. For Current Affairs reading the newspaper regularly is a must and, apart from that, you can also refer to the monthly news and events magazine, or mobile applications.

  • English Language 

English is one of the easiest and scoring sections of the NCHMCT JEE exam. The most important topics in the verbal ability section are Synonyms and Antonyms, Sentence Rearrangement, Reading Comprehension, Correct usage of words and phrases, Sentence correction, Sentence completion, Verbal analogies, and Grammar. To improve your vocabulary and grammar, read the newspaper on a daily basis and practice questions from prior years' question papers to score well.

  • Aptitude for Service Sector

It checks your holistic development and moral attitudes in the subject of hospitality. It also tests the candidate’s interpersonal skills.

NCHMCT JEE 2023: Marking Scheme

As per the NCHMCT JEE Exam Pattern, each question will be carrying 4 marks in the question paper. There is a negative marking of 1 for each wrongly answered question. To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as the correct option.

Note:

After the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the Final Answer key/s will be awarded marks. In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to the candidates who have attempted it.

NCHMCT JEE 2023: Medium of Question Paper

  • The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only
  • Option of medium of Question Paper should be carefully chosen by the Candidate while filling the Application Form online. The option once exercised cannot be changed. 
  • In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

NCHMCT JEE 2023: Tie-Breaking Procedure

All India merit list of candidates shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the NCHM-JEE Online Internet-Based Test. In case candidates secure equal marks, the merit will be determined as under; 

  • Candidates securing higher marks in the English component of JEE shall rank higher
  • In case of candidates securing equal marks in NCHM-JEE, as well as in the English component of NCHM-JEE, then the candidate securing higher marks in the Service Aptitude Component of NCHM-JEE shall rank higher
  • In case of a tie in the above two, the candidate older in age shall rank higher

NCHMCT JEE Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed Intermediate(10+2) from CBSE or any other recognized board with English as one of the core subjects. 
  • Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examinations can also appear in JEE 2023 on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling
  • Candidates should be below 25 years of age as of 1st August 2023, i.e. on the 1st day of August following the date of commencement of the examination i.e candidate should be born on or after July 01, 1997.
  • The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
  • Those who successfully qualify for the NCHMCT JEE exam must provide a physical fitness certificate at the time of the admission process. The certificate will have to be provided by a registered medical practitioner.

  • Try to attempt the easier questions first as it will increase your confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

The examination authorities have not yet published a comprehensive NCHMCT JEE examination pattern and syllabus. It is expected to have five sections: Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector.

It is expected that there will be a total of 200 questions in NCHMCT JEE 2022 with a sectional weightage of 15, 15, 15, 30 and 25 percent for Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector respectively.


As per the NCHMCT JEE  Exam Pattern, each question will be carrying 4 marks in the question paper and there will be a negative marking of 1 for each wrongly answered question. NCHMCT JEE Preparation Tips

Here are a few crucial tips and tricks that will help enhance your preparation for your NCHMCT JEE Exam.

  • Firstly, take a proper look at the precise Syllabus and exam pattern. Learn each concept of the prescribed syllabus and important topics from recommended NCHMCT JEE books.
  • Make sure you make notes which include important points during your study. Those notes will help during the revision period.
  • After studying all the subjects according to the latest syllabus and exam pattern, start your evaluation during which you need to solve the NCHMCT JEE Sample Papers.
  • Try to attempt the easier questions first as it will increase your confidence.
  • Solve one question paper in a day so that you can have time to improve on the weak areas or wherever you go wrong.
  • Check all your answers after solving, and allot marks yourself for every question and then analyze your performance and start correcting your mistakes.
  • Try as many mock tests as you can. Practice until you have perfected that part.
  • After completing each section, attempt the section-wise tests to evaluate your preparation.
  • Make a list of your mistakes and try to improvise on the same thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The examination authorities have not yet published a comprehensive NCHMCT JEE examination pattern and syllabus. It is expected to have five sections: Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector.

It is expected that there will be a total of 200 questions in NCHMCT JEE 2022 with a sectional weightage of 15, 15, 15, 30 and 25 percent for Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector respectively.


As per the NCHMCT JEE  Exam Pattern, each question will be carrying 4 marks in the question paper and there will be a negative marking of 1 for each wrongly answered question. In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given only to the candidates who have attempted it.


In case candidates secure equal marks, the merit will be determined as, Candidate securing higher marks in English component of JEE shall rank higher. In case of candidates securing equal marks in NCHM-JEE, as well as in the English component of NCHM-JEE, then the candidate securing higher marks in Service Aptitude Component of NCHM-JEE shall rank higher. In case of a tie in the above two, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.


The medium of Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only. Option of medium of Question Paper should be carefully chosen by the candidate while filling the Application Form online. The option once exercised cannot be changed. 


The National Testing Agency (NTA) will prescribe the syllabus for the NCHMCT JEE 2023. Candidates are advised to stay tuned, exam pattern will be updated here after it is published by the official authorities. 


Candidates should have passed Intermediate(10+2) from CBSE or any other recognized board with English as one of the core subjects. Those appearing in 10+2 in 2022 or equivalent examinations can also appear in JEE 2023 on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling Apart from the above candidates should be below 25 years of age as on 1st August 2022, i.e. on the 1st day of August following the date of commencement of the examination i.e candidate should be born on or after July 01, 1997.
