NCHMCT JEE Counselling 2023

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT JEE) counseling process and seat allotment process.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the counseling process and seat allotment process in the month of September and October 2023 on behalf of the National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).

The NCHMCT JEE counseling and seat allotment process depend on the All India Rank obtained by the candidates in the NCHMCT Joint entrance examination.

The students who want to participate in the NCHMCT JEE counseling process should note that the NCHMCT JEE rank is only applicable for admission in the 74 participating institutes of Hotel Management across India. 

The NCHMCT JEE rank is applicable for admission in the 15 central government aid institutes of Hotel Management, 25 state government aid institutes of Hotel Management, and 34 private institutes of Hotel Management.

NCHMCT JEE Counselling 2023

There will be no. of processes included in the NCHMCT JEE Counseling 2023: -

  • Online registration.
  • Choice filling 
  • Choice Locking
  • Seat Allotment Result
  • Uploading of documents and payment to confirm the seat.

As per previous year trends, there will be a minimum of 3 rounds of counseling. Candidates have to deposit INR 50,000 for securing allotted seats during the admission procedure. It is advised to all the candidates to read and understand the counseling procedure to avoid confusion while attending the NCHMCT JEE 2023 Counseling process.
 

  • The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts for allotting seats to 74 participating institutes, which comprises central institutes of hotel management, state institutes of hotel management and private institutes of hotel management. The national testing agency will announce Seat Allotment for rounds 1 -3 in the form of opening and closing ranks on the official portal i.e. http://nchm.nic.in.
  • The national council for hotel management and catering technology online registration and choice filling will begin in the month of September 2023.
  • Candidates whose name will feature in the merit list of NCHMCT JEE 2023, will be issued call letters to attend the NCHMCT JEE Counseling 2023 as a medium to seek admissions into 74 institutes of hotel management participating in the NCHMCT JEE.

NCHMCT JEE Counselling 2023– Documents Required 

  • The document verification will be conducted for all the candidates who have been allotted the seats.
  • The candidate’s document verification will be conducted after each round. Any breach of the norms may lead to disqualification of the candidature.
  • Candidates should carry both original and multiple attested copies with them at the time of seat confirmation process.

1.The candidate should have the certificate informing that the aspirant has cleared 10 + 2 level examination like:

  • The candidate should have 10 + 2 level examinations in the 10 + 2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University.
  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.
  • HSC Vocational Examination approved by NCVT and SCVT of concerned states.
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects, result of which should be available up to September 2023.

2. Other set of documents: 

  • Document in support of reservation claim - Caste / Physical Disability certificate.
  • NCHMCT JEE 2023 admit card - issued at the time of examination.
  • Class 10/ date of birth certificate
  • NCHMCT JEE 2023 application form

NCHMCT JEE Counselling Procedure 2023

  • The candidates who have cleared NCHMCT JEE 2023 must register themselves online and choose their preferred college and course.
  • Allotment of seats will be done online, based on candidate’s rank, category, availability of seats and other factors.
  • After the allotment of the seats, the candidates have to report to the allotted institute for document verification and fee payment.

Step 1: Online Registration

  •  Visit the official website of the NCHMCT i.e. http://nchm.nic.in. 
  • Login using NCHMCT JEE 2023 Application Number, Password, and Security Pin.
  • Click on ‘I Agree’ after reading all the instructions carefully
  •  Fill the required details in the NCHMCT counselling Form.
  • Click on Submit after selecting the declaration
  • Click on the ‘Confirm Registration’ button after verifying all the provided details.

 Step 2: Online Choice Filling and Locking

  • Choose your desired college and program and fill in their choices in the form given by the concerned authority.
  • You have filled the choice according to the order given for the colleges.
  • The candidate should choose to change/edit/delete their filled choices
  • After filling all the choices, candidates must lock and submit their choices.
  • Lock the choice before the last date.
  •  Candidates can do choice locking after each round of NCHMCT JEE 2023 counselling.

Step 3: Allotment of Seats

The concerned authority allots seats on the basis of following factors: -

  • Candidate’s Category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, etc)
  • Availability of the seats in the concerned authority
  • Candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) in NCHMCT JEE 2023 rank list.
  •  Candidate’s priority order of choices for academic programs and institutes.

Before making the final seat allocation, two rounds of mock allotment will be directed for the eligible candidates. Mock Rounds will help candidates in understanding the seat allotment procedure in detail and will also allow them to make changes if they wish to before the counselling round starts.

Step 4: Acceptance of Seats, Fee Payment, and Document Verification

  •  After allotment of the seats pay the seat acceptance fee through net banking or E Challan.
  • Bring all the documents with you because it will be verified at the reporting center.
  • After completion of the fee payment and document verification process, a provisional admission letter will be issued.

Step 5: Reporting to the Allotted College

  • The last and the final step of the NCHMCT JEE 2023 Counselling process is reporting to the assigned institutes with original certificates and documents on the allotted date and time slot.

 The NCHMCT JEE 2023 counselling process begins in the month of September 2023.

You must not fill-in the courses that you are not interested in pursuing. If you do not accept the seat, you will be out of the seat allotment process and hence, will not be allowed to participate in further rounds.
You can claim your refund online. Login to NCHMCT portal and file your request online, request will be processed in a few days.

 In the seat allotment process, the candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their merit, choice filling and availability of seats. But, before the actual seat allotment, mock allotment of seats will take place.

 The NCHMCT JEE 2023 counselling process begins in the month of September 2023.

You must not fill-in the courses that you are not interested in pursuing. If you do not accept the seat, you will be out of the seat allotment process and hence, will not be allowed to participate in further rounds.
You can claim your refund online. Login to NCHMCT portal and file your request online, request will be processed in a few days.

 In the seat allotment process, the candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their merit, choice filling and availability of seats. But, before the actual seat allotment, mock allotment of seats will take place.


The  NCHMCT JEE Counselling  is conducted in online mode only.
