Law grads who aren't interested in jumping on the NLU bandwagon continue to seek out the Banaras Hindu University.

The Ministry of Education highlighted BHU's uncompromising character in its National Institutional Ranking Framework 2021, which ranked BHU as the third best university in India. Students take the BHU LLM Entrance Exam, also known as the Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET).

The National Testing Agency conducts the LLM Entrance Exam online via Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. BHU LLM Entrance test centers can be found all around the country.

There are 120 questions on the BHU PET question paper. Each question has 3 marks weightage. The entire paper is thus scored for 360 marks in total. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

The question paper is issued in English & Hindi. The negative marking is a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.

Unattempted questions do not attract any negative marking. The cut-off marks are decided by BHU every year and may vary. The official notification for BHU PET 2022 is yet to be released.
