National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development recruits candidates for the post of Assistant Manager (Grade A) every year through the NABARD Grade A exam. The last day to apply for the posts has been extended to 4th April 2018. So, act fast and apply! Such opportunities don’t come knocking on your door frequently. The exam is scheduled to be held on 12th March 2018. And as you cans see, there isn’t much time left for exam preparation. Now is the time to take your preparation to the next level. NABARD Preparation Tips – How to prepare for NABARD Grade A Officer Prelims and Mains exam

Create an accurate time-table

Since NABARD exam consists of a vast syllabus, it is advisable to make a time-table. Make sure that it is effective and you can follow it properly. You need to understand your strengths and weaknesses while creating the time-table. The key to crack NABARD exam is by having a robust preparation strategy – you need to allocate more time to the weak topics to strengthen those areas. If certain topics are unfamiliar or new, you need to set extra time for them – solve practice papers and old papers related to those topics.

English Section NABARD Preparation Tips

To ace English Language section, make a habit of reading and writing in English. Read newspapers (The Hindu) and magazines on a daily basis. Noting every new word you would come across and finding their appropriate meanings, would improve your vocabulary, thus making it easier for you to answer comprehension section. Computer Knowledge NABARD Preparation Tips

Economics & Social Issues/Agriculture & Rural Development Preparation

In Economics & Social issues section as well as Agriculture & Rural Development section, it is advised that you refer magazines and newspapers regularly. Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure

NABARD Grade ‘A’ exam has been categorized into 3 levels:

• Prelims – Objective MCQs
• Mains – Objective MCQs along with descriptive questions
• Interview

Prelims

It is an objective type online test. There has been a reduction in the weightage of Reasoning and Quantitative sections; they have been added to Economics and Agriculture & Rural development subjects.

The Prelims acts as the qualifying test. Once you clear the sectional and the total cut-offs, if you are selected, will be called for the Phase II exam. You may note that there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Mains

The Mains exam will be held on 6^th June 2018. Phase II will include both objective and the descriptive type online test. Phase II exam comprises Paper I & II.

Paper I is common for all the posts, while Paper II is different for all the posts.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect attempts. Both sectional and overall cut off is applicable. If your rank is sufficiently high, you would be selected for Phase III i.e. the Interview. Finally, the authorities will prepare the Merit list based on your performance in the Mains exam and the Interview.

Interview

This is the final phase, holding 25 marks. According to the scores secured in the Mains exam and the Interview together, you will be appointed as Assistant Manager.
