Uttarakhand Judiciary Exam Pattern 2024 - Prelims

The prelims question paper of the Uttarakhand Judiciary Exam consists of two parts, and the preliminary examination includes a total of 200 questions. 

All the questions will be of objective type, and the candidates will be provided 03 hours to solve both parts.

This is the second stage of the selection process, which includes six subjects with different weightage.

The Uttarakhand Judiciary syllabus for the mains exam includes the following topics:

Section 1: The Present Day

This subject will evaluate the candidate's knowledge of daily happenings in India and the world. It is related to the legal areas, and their ability to express themselves in English will be evaluated.

Section 4: Law: Paper-II – Evidence and Procedure

This section covers the Law of Evidence, The Criminal Procedure Code and the Code of Civil Procedure, including the principles of pleading.

The questions will be related to practical matters like the framing of charges and issues, the methods of dealing with the evidence of the witness, the writing of judgment, and the conduct of cases generally but will not be restricted to them.

Section 5: Law: Paper III – Revenue & Criminal

  • U.P. Zamindari Abolition
  • Land Reforms Act (as applicable in Uttarakhand)
  • Indian Penal Code

Section 6: For Basic Knowledge of Computer Operation Practical Examination

  • The questions asked in the Interview are general and not related to academic or legal.
