Indian Air Force(IAF) recently released the AFCAT Notification 2020 on November 25, 2019, for the recruitment of Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) through the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)-2019. All the interested candidates should read till the end and further visit the official website for detailed information.

  • Two hundred forty-nine vacancies are available as released by the Afcat Notification 2020.

AFCAT 2020 released around 249 vacancies for various Ground Duty-Technical and  Ground Duty-Non Technical Branch and Flying Branch as well. AFCAT Eligibility 2020

The eligibility criteria for filling up the AFCAT 2019-20 Vacancies differs for both the Branches.

  • Age Criteria for candidates: For Flying Branch through AFCAT/NCC Entry, the age limit is 20 to 24 years. (Born between January 2nd,1996 to January 1st, 2000).For the Ground Duty(Technical and Non-Technical), the age limit is 20 to 26 years(Born between January 2nd,1994 to January 1st, 2000).
  • Educational Qualification: The Educational Qualification requirement differs for different posts. For the Flying Branch, the candidates should have cleared 10+2 with 60% with Maths and Physics. For more details, please go through the Official Notification Pdf.

This is a detailed list of Posts available for different branches along with the number of posts available for each Branch. There are 60 vacancies for AFCAT Entry(Flying Branch) and 105 jobs for AFCAT Entry(Ground Duty-Technical). For AE(L), PC-40, and SSC-26 Vacancies. For NCC Candidates, there are Special entry posts too.

AFCAT 2020 Important Facts

  • PC posts for men: All the candidates who would be selected for PC Officers in the AFCAT 2019-20  will continue to serve till the age of superannuation as per their Rank and Branch.
  • SSC posts for men and women: All the selected candidates ie Flying Branch-SSC Officers will have an engagement period of 14 years from the date of commissioning(non-extendable).
  • The tenure for the SSC Officers for Ground Duty for both the Tech and Non-Tech Branches will be for 10 years in the beginning. Further, a Four-year extension may be added depending on the Service Requirement, availability of Vacancies, willingness, merit, etc.

No, there is no reservation in AFCAT 2020.
Yes, you can apply but at the time of interview candidates need to submit at least provisional final year marks card.
