AFCAT is conducted for the short service commission of officers in the Indian air force. It recruits for Flying and Ground Duty branch (Technical and Non Technical). The Air force gives the chance to lead the good life.
IAF AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test notification releases bi-annually. AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test is conducted annually (2 times in a year) by the Indian Air force for the recruitment of officers in all branches except medical and dental branches. AFCAT is conducted twice every year – once in February and again in August/September. AFCAT recruits in three branches namely Flying Branch, the Technical Branch, and the Ground Duty Branch. There are a total of 100 questions. Each Question carries 3 marks. Each wrong answer carries a penalty of 1 mark. Questions that are not attempted do not carry penalty.

For Ground Duty Technical Branch, you have to go through an EKT round i.e. Engineering Knowledge Test. It consists of 50 questions and 150 marks that you need to complete within 45 minutes.
Candidates who are shortlisted in AFCAT will be called for further testing at AFSB or Air Force Selection Board in any of its branches at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar or Varanasi.Test consists of various stages:
