Headquartered in New Delhi, Intelligence Bureau was founded in the year 1887 ( then Indian Political Intelligence). It is used to govern intelligence from within India and also execute counter intelligence and counter terrorism task. All kind of human activities within India and in the neighborhood are allocated to the charter of duties of the Intelligence Bureau. This exam is conducted to select candidates for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) post in IB

IB ACIO Notification

The official notification for IB ACIO 2018 is expected to release on the official website of Intelligence Bureau in August. Application process will begin few days after the notice regarding the recruitment notification is published. Last year, the notification was released in August. IB ACIO Application Form - How to Apply

The application link is not active now. We have given the application procedure as followed in the last few years.

  • Log on to the official website of IB ACIO.
  • Look for ‘Apply online - IB ACIO’ link and click on it.
  • A new page will appear with part I of the Application form.
  • Fill your personal Academic information and move to Part II of the Application Form.
  • In part II, upload required documents as instructed officially.
  • Now check all the details and click on submit to proceed to pay application fee (Online and Offline mode)
  • Once the fee is paid successfully, a new page will appear with final application.
  • Download and take a print out of the final application for future reference.

IB ACIO Exam Pattern

  • Paper, I will be objective type MCQs, divided into 4 parts containing 25 questions of 1 marks each.
  • Paper II will be Descriptive type.

IB ACIO Syllabus

Syllabus for IB ACIO will consist of Mathematical Ability, Reasoning, General Awareness/Knowledge and English Comprehension.

  • In Mathematical Ability, Questions will be asked from topics such as Numbers, Statistical problems, Profit and Loss, Probability, Mensuration etc.
  • In Reasoning will cover topics such as Observation, Blood relation, Pattern Matching, Missing Letters, analytical Problems, Odd man out, statements and conclusions.
  • In General Awareness, various questions from topics such as Current Affairs, Political news, economy, Indian History, World Events etc.
  • Questions in English Comprehension will be asked to analyse the candidate’s knowledge of English.
