Cabinet clears sixth phase of launch of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark-3
●        Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved the program for continuation of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) (Sixth phase) and financial support for 30 PSLV operational launch under this program.
●        This program will also meet the need for satellite observation for Earth observation, direction indicator and space science. This will also continue production in Indian industry.
 
 
Cabinet approves continuity program for Geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle Mark-III
●        The Union Cabinet, endowed with the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved financial support for the Geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle Mark-III continuity program.
●        This 4338.20 crore includes the cost of ten GSLV MK-III vehicles, essential facility enhancement, program management and launch campaign.
 

Approval of MoU between India and Denmark on technical cooperation in the field of sustainable and smart urban development
●        The Union Cabinet (CC), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and Denmark in April 2018 for the technical cooperation in the field of sustainable and smart urban development.
●        The purpose of this MOU is to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of continuous and smart urban development on mutual and profit basis through the exchange of commercial relations on knowledge, institutional cooperation, research and development and related issues.
 
Cabinet approves amendment in salary allowances of rural Postal Servants of Department of Posts
●        In the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet today approved amendment in the salary allowances of the post of Department of Rural Postal Service.
●        For revising the salary allowances, the estimated cost of 1257.75 crores is to be spent during the year 2018-19.
●        This amendment to salary allowances will benefit 3.07 lakh rural post offices.
 
 
Approval for the construction of a new 6-lane bridge on Ganga river in Phaphamau, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh
●        The Cabinet Committee has approved the construction of a new bridge of 9-lane of 6-lane on the Ganges river at National Highway-96 in Phaphamau, Allahabad.
●        It will cost Rs. 1948.25 crores
●        The construction period for this project is three years and it is estimated to be completed by December, 2021.

●        The Government of India has constituted a group of eminent persons to study the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) policy.
●        The SEZ policy is effective from April 1, 2000.

Moody downgraded India's growth rate for 2018 to 7.3 percent
●        International rating agency Moody's Investor Services reduced its estimate of India's GDP growth rate to 7.3 percent for the current fiscal.
●        The agency had earlier estimated an increase of 7.5 percent.

India Signed a $ 21.7 million loan agreement with the World Bank for Rajasthan Project
●        For the strengthening of public financial management in the Rajasthan Project, a loan agreement of US $ 21.7 million was signed with World Bank.
●        On behalf of the Rajasthan Government on the implementation unit agreement signed by the Secretary (Finance) and the World Bank on behalf of World Bank (India) Acting Country Director.
●        This project is of US $ 31 million, out of which 21.7 million US dollars will be taken from the World Bank and the balance from the state budget.
 
 
More than 1,65,000 people got profit between 2015-18 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)
●        Under the Credit Linked Scheme, more than 1,65,000 people have benefited between the year 2015-18.

●        National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO), which has achieved the global standard of being a low cost manufacturing company in manufacturing bauxite mining and aluminum, has proved its potential by performing well in the physical and financial sectors.
●        According to the financial results of the year 2017-18 presented to Board of Directors on May 26, 2018, NALCO registered an increase of more than 100 per cent, i.e. an increase of Rs 1,342.19 crore compared to Rs 669 crore in the previous year, during the financial year 2017-18.

ED seized assets worth Rs 177 crore of Rotomac
 

●        Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday said that it has seized assets worth Rs 177 crore in Rotomac Global of Kanpur, owned by Vikram Kothari in the money laundering case, in which a bank allegedly fraud of Rs 3,695 was made.
●        Officials of the Financial Investigation Agency said that the seized assets of the company and its director are in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar in Gujarat, Dehradun in Uttarakhand and in Mumbai of Maharashtra.

ED fined for Rs 14 crores on Videocon
 
●        ED, Venugopal Dhoot of Videocon and group penalties of Rs 14 crore in case of violation of Foreign Exchange Law 6 companies.
●        Apart from this, the penalty of Rs 45 lakh has also been imposed separately on the directors of Dhoot, Videocon and 6 companies.
●        Of these, a fine of Rs 30 lakh was asked to repay Dhoot alone. The ED gave this direction on 26th May.
