India's maternal mortality rate decreased by 22 percent
 
●        India has recorded a significant decrease of record 22 percent in the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) from the year 2013 in India.
●        This information was given on the basis of the data collected by the Sample Registration System (SRS) on June 06, 2018.
●        In India, in the year 2011-13, the maternal mortality rate was 167, which was reduced to 130 in 2014-16.
●        MMR is defined as the number of maternal mortality of 100,000 live births.

●        The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to grant the status of small financial bank on the basis of voluntary basis to the urban co-operative banks on June 06, 2018.
●        The statement issued after the second biennial meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee of the RBI was stated to have been decided to allow urban cooperative banks, who fulfill the set standards for Small Financial Banks (SFBs), to voluntarily convert to SFB.
