राजनाथ सिंह ने AMCA के लिए वैमानिकी विकसित करने के लिए नई उड़ान नियंत्रण प्रणाली एकीकरण सुविधा का उद्घाटन किया

• रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कर्नाटक के बेंगलुरु में डीआरडीओ प्रयोगशाला वैमानिकी विकास प्रतिष्ठान (एडीई) में सात मंजिला उड़ान नियंत्रण प्रणाली (FCS) एकीकरण सुविधा का उद्घाटन किया।
• अत्याधुनिक कॉम्प्लेक्स को 45 दिनों के रिकॉर्ड-ब्रेकिंग इन-हाउस हाइब्रिड तकनीक का उपयोग करके बनाया गया था जिसमें पारंपरिक, पूर्व-इंजीनियर और प्रीकास्ट तरीके शामिल थे। इस तकनीक को डीआरडीओ ने मेसर्स लार्सन एंड टुब्रो (एलएंडटी) के सहयोग से विकसित किया था।
• IIT मद्रास और IIT रुड़की की टीमों ने डिजाइन की जांच की और तकनीकी मदद प्रदान की।
• यह एफसीएस सुविधा एडीई, बेंगलुरु को लड़ाकू विमानों के लिए एवियोनिक्स और उन्नत मध्यम लड़ाकू विमानों के लिए एफसीएस के विकास के लिए अपने अनुसंधान और विकास कार्यों में मदद करेगी।

 नॉर्वे में नाटो प्रशिक्षण अभ्यास के दौरान चार अमेरिकी सैनिकों की मौत

• उत्तर अटलांटिक संधि संगठन (NATO) ने 14 मार्च, 2022 से नॉर्वे में बड़े पैमाने पर सैन्य अभ्यास 'कोल्ड रिस्पांस 2022' का आयोजन किया है और यह 01 अप्रैल, 2022 तक जारी रहेगा। अभ्यास नाटो सहयोगियों और भागीदारों के लिए हर दूसरे वर्ष नॉर्वे में आयोजित किया जाता है। कोल्ड रिस्पांस एक लंबे समय से नियोजित और रक्षात्मक अभ्यास है जहां नॉर्वे और उसके सहयोगी नॉर्वे को बाहरी खतरों से बचाने के लिए अभ्यास करते हैं। अभ्यास की योजना बनाई गई है और यूक्रेन में युद्ध से बहुत पहले सूचित किया गया है।
• नॉर्वेजियन के नेतृत्व वाला अभ्यास चुनौतीपूर्ण इलाके में ठंडे मौसम की स्थिति में एक साथ प्रशिक्षित करने का अवसर प्रदान करता है और किसी भी दिशा से किसी भी खतरे का निर्णायक रूप से जवाब देने की नाटो की क्षमता को प्रदर्शित करता है। 27 देशों के लगभग 30,000 सैनिक अभ्यास के 2022 संस्करण में भाग ले रहे हैं, जिसमें लगभग 220 विमान और 50 से अधिक जहाज हैं। यह 1980 के दशक के बाद से नॉर्वे में किया जा रहा सबसे बड़ा 'कोल्ड रिस्पांस' अभ्यास है।

भारत की पहली रैपिड रेल के डिब्बों का अनावरण, दिल्ली-मेरठ रैपिड रेल कॉरिडोर में प्रयोग किया जाएगा

• दिल्ली-मेरठ रैपिड रेल कॉरिडोर के लिए कोचों को राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्रीय परिवहन निगम (NCRTC) द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था। आने वाले महीनों में, इन अर्ध-उच्च गति वाली वायुगतिकीय ट्रेनों की छितरी हुई शक्ति के साथ डिलीवरी शुरू हो जाएगी। पहले रीजनल रैपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम कॉरिडोर के लिए सावली मैन्युफैक्चरिंग फैक्ट्री से कुल 210 कारों की डिलीवरी की जाएगी।
• इसमें दिल्ली-गाजियाबाद-मेरठ लाइन पर क्षेत्रीय पारगमन सेवाएं प्रदान करने वाली ट्रेनों के साथ-साथ मेरठ में स्थानीय पारगमन सेवाएं शामिल हैं। वर्तमान वर्ष में एनसीआरटीसी दिल्ली-गाजियाबाद-मेरठ आरआरटीएस कॉरिडोर के प्रायोरिटी सेक्शन पर ट्रायल रन शुरू करेगी।
• आरआरटीएस अपनी तरह की पहली प्रणाली है जिसमें 180 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से चलने वाली ट्रेनें हर 5-10 मिनट में चलेंगी और दिल्ली और मेरठ के बीच की दूरी को 55 मिनट में 14 स्टॉप के साथ कवर करेंगी।

टीसीएस ने राजेश गोपीनाथन को पांच वर्ष के लिए एमडी और सीईओ के रूप में फिर से नियुक्त किया

• आईटी प्रमुख, टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज (TCS) के बोर्ड ने राजेश गोपीनाथन को कंपनी के प्रबंध निदेशक (MD) और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (CEO) के रूप में पांच वर्ष के लिए फिर से नियुक्त करने की घोषणा की है। उनका दूसरा कार्यकाल 21 फरवरी 2022 से शुरू होकर 20 फरवरी 2027 तक रहेगा। राजेश गोपीनाथन को पहली बार 2017 में टीसीएस के सीईओ और एमडी के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था।
• उनके नेतृत्व में, कंपनी ने 31 मार्च, 2017 को समाप्त वित्तीय वर्ष में $ 17.6 बिलियन से बढ़कर 31 मार्च, 2021 को समाप्त वित्तीय वर्ष में $ 22.2 बिलियन तक राजस्व के साथ अपनी स्थिति को मजबूत किया है।

• विश्व गौरैया दिवस (WSD) प्रतिवर्ष 20 मार्च को मनाया जाता है। यह दिन घरेलू गौरैया और इससे होने वाले खतरों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए है। विश्व गौरैया दिवस का उद्देश्य पूरी विश्‍व में जागरूकता बढ़ाना और पक्षी की रक्षा करना है। कुछ वर्ष पहले आम तौर पर लोगों के घरों में गौरैयों को देखा जाता था। बढ़ते ध्वनि प्रदूषण के कारण यह पक्षी अब विलुप्त होने के कगार पर है।
• विश्व गौरैया दिवस की थीम "लव स्पैरो" है। इस मुद्दे पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने के परिणामस्वरूप अधिक व्यक्तियों के गौरैया संरक्षण पर आधारित कई कार्यक्रमों और अभियानों में शामिल होने की संभावना है।

• विश्व मौखिक स्वास्थ्य दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 20 मार्च को मनाया जाता है। इस दिन का उद्देश्य मौखिक स्वास्थ्य के मुद्दों और मौखिक स्वच्छता के महत्व के बारे में वैश्विक जागरूकता बढ़ाना है ताकि सरकारें, स्वास्थ्य संघ और आम जनता स्वस्थ मुंह प्राप्त करने के लिए मिलकर काम कर सकें।
• विश्व मुख स्वास्थ्य दिवस 2021-2023 का विषय है: अपने मुंख पर गर्व करें।
• एफडीआई वर्ल्ड डेंटल फेडरेशन ने 2007 में वर्ल्ड ओरल हेल्थ डे की शुरुआत की थी। यह दिन मूल रूप से 12 सितंबर को एफडीआई के संस्थापक डॉ चार्ल्स गोडन की याद में मनाया जाता था। बाद में, सितंबर में एफडीआई वर्ल्ड डेंटल कांग्रेस के साथ संघर्ष से बचने के लिए इसे 2013 में 20 मार्च को बदल दिया गया था।

• विश्‍व भर में प्रतिवर्ष 20 मार्च को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रसन्नता दिवस मनाया जाता है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने इस दिन को 2013 में मनाना शुरू किया था, लेकिन इसके लिए प्रस्ताव 12 जुलाई 2012 को पारित किया गया था। संकल्प की शुरुआत भूटान ने की थी जिसने राष्ट्रीय खुशी के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला।
• हैप्पीनेस डे 2022 की थीम : शांत रहो, समझदार रहो और दयालु रहो (Keep Calm, Stay Wise and Be Kind) है । हर संभव स्थिति में शांत रहना ही खुशी और संतुष्टि की कुंजी है। कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी बुद्धिमान बने रहने से ही समझदारी भरे कदम और सफलता मिलती है। दूसरों की जरूरतों, गलतियों और त्रुटियों के प्रति दयालु होने से उन्हें बढ़ने में मदद मिलेगी और उन्हें बेहतर महसूस होगा।

CAMS ने NPS के तहत केंद्रीय रिकॉर्ड कीपिंग एजेंसी लॉन्च की

• नेशनल पेंशन सिस्टम के तहत सेंट्रल रिकॉर्ड कीपिंग एजेंसी (CRA) के लाइव और ओपनिंग की घोषणा कंप्यूटर एज मैनेजमेंट सर्विसेज लिमिटेड (CAMS), भारत के सबसे बड़े रजिस्ट्रार और म्यूचुअल फंड के ट्रांसफर एजेंट (सेबी द्वारा विनियमित व्यवसाय) द्वारा की गई है। एनपीएस ग्राहकों और पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के लिए उपलब्ध सेवाओं को व्यापक बनाने के लिए, क्षेत्र नियामक, पेंशन फंड नियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (पीएफआरडीए) द्वारा सीएएमएस को सीआरए के रूप में चुना गया था। राष्ट्रीय पेंशन योजना (एनपीएस), पेंशन फंड नियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (पीएफआरडीए) द्वारा बनाई और प्रशासित एक स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति योजना, एक सेवानिवृत्ति कोष के निर्माण में सहायता के लिए 1 जनवरी 2004 को केंद्र सरकार द्वारा शुरू की गई थी।
• सीएएमएस एनपीएस प्लेटफॉर्म, तीन सीआरए में से एक के रूप में, पेंशन खाता खोलने, रिकॉर्ड रखने और रखरखाव के लिए ग्राहकों को शक्तिशाली तकनीक और व्यापक विशेषज्ञता के आधार पर ग्राहक सेवाएं प्रदान करेगा।

Rajnath Singh inaugurates new flight control system integration facility to develop avionics for AMCA

• Shri Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister, inaugurated a seven-story Flight Control System (FCS) Integration facility at the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), a DRDO laboratory in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Pilots of combat aircraft will also receive simulator training at the complex. It is one of the most essential components of the complex, according to Shri Rajnath Singh.
• The state-of-the-art complex was built in a record-breaking 45 days using in-house hybrid technology that included traditional, pre-engineered, and precast methods. The technique was developed by DRDO in collaboration with M/s Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
• IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee teams examined the design and provided technical help.
• This FCS facility would help ADE, Bengaluru, with its research and development operations for developing avionics for fighter aircraft and FCS for Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft.

 Four US soldiers die during NATO training exercise in Norway

• The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has organised the massive military drill ‘Cold Response 2022’ in Norway from March 14, 2022, and will continue till April 01, 2022. The exercise is held in Norway every second year, for NATO Allies and partners. Cold Response is a long-planned and defensive exercise where Norway and its allies exercise in defending Norway against external threats. The exercise has been planned and informed about long before the war in Ukraine.
• The Norwegian-led exercise provides an opportunity to train together in cold weather conditions over challenging terrain and demonstrates NATO’s ability to respond decisively to any threat, from any direction. Around 30,000 troops from 27 nations are taking part in the 2022 edition of the exercise, with about 220 aircraft and more than 50 vessels. This is the largest ‘Cold Response’ being exercise conducted in Norway since the 1980s.

Coaches of India's first rapid rail unveiled, to be used in Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail corridor

• The coaches for the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Corridor were launched by the National Capital Regional Transport Corporation (NCRTC). In the following months, deliveries of these semi-high-speed aerodynamic trainsets with dispersed power will begin. A total of 210 cars will be delivered from the Savli manufacturing factory for the first Regional Rapid Transit System corridor.
• It consists of trainsets providing regional transit services on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut line as well as local transit services in Meerut. In the present year, the NCRTC will start the trial runs on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor’s Priority Section.
• The RRTS is a first-of-its-kind system in which trains running at 180 kmph will run every 5–10 minutes and cover the distance between Delhi and Meerut in 55 minutes with 14 stops.

TCS re-appoints Rajesh Gopinathan as MD and CEO for five years

• The board of IT major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the re-appointment of Rajesh Gopinathan as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company for five years. His second term will begin from February 21, 2022, to February 20, 2027. Rajesh Gopinathan was first appointed as the CEO and MD of TCS in 2017.
• Under his leadership, the company has strengthened its position with the revenues increasing from $17.6 billion in the financial year ended March 31, 2017, to $22.2 billion in the financial year ended March 31, 2021.

International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination 22 March 2022

• International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on 21 March to remind people about the negative consequences of racial discrimination. The 2022 edition of the International Day focuses on the theme “VOICES FOR ACTION AGAINST RACISM”.
• This edition aims, in particular, at: highlighting the importance of strengthening meaningful and safe public participation and representation in all areas of decision-making to prevent and combat racial discrimination; reaffirming the importance of full respect for the rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly and of protecting civic space; and recognizing the contribution of individuals and organizations that stand up against racial discrimination and the challenges they face.

 International Day of Forests 2022: 21st March

• The International Day of Forests (also known as World Forestry Day) is celebrated every year on March 21. The main aim of the day is to raise awareness of the significance of all types of forests. The day is to celebrate to raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests, and trees outside forests, for the benefit of current and future generations as well as to increase the public awareness among communities about the values, significance and contributions of the forests to balance the life cycle on the earth.
• The theme for 2022 is “Forests and sustainable production and consumption.”
• The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 March the International Day of Forests (IDF) in 2012. The Day celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests. On each International Day of Forests, countries are encouraged to undertake local, national and international efforts to organize activities involving forests and trees, such as tree planting campaigns. The theme for each International Day of Forests is chosen by the Collaborative Partnership on Forests.

 World Sparrow Day 2022: 20th March

• World Sparrow Day (WSD) is celebrated every year on March 20th. This day is meant to raise awareness about the house sparrow and the dangers it confronts. The purpose of World Sparrow Day is to raise awareness and protect the bird all across the world. A few years ago, house sparrows were commonly seen in people’s homes. As a result of rising noise pollution, the bird is now on the edge of extinction.
• The theme of World Sparrow Day is “LOVE Sparrows.” More individuals are likely to join in a range of events and campaigns geared at sparrow conservation as a result of focusing on this issue.

 World Oral Health Day 2022: 20th March

• The World Oral Health Day is marked every year on March 20. The day aims to raise global awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene so that governments, health associations and the general public can work together to achieve healthier mouths and happier lives.
• The theme for World Oral Health Day 2021-2023 is: Be Proud Of Your Mouth.
• The FDI World Dental Federation launched World Oral Health Day in 2007. The day was originally celebrated on 12th September in remembrance of FDI founder, Dr Charles Godon. Later, it was changed to 20th March in 2013 to avoid conflict with the FDI World Dental Congress in September.

 International Day of Happiness 2022: 20th March

• International Day of happiness is observed every year around the world on March 20. The United Nations started celebrating this day in 2013, but the resolution for the same was passed on July 12, 2012. The resolution was initiated by Bhutan which shed the light on the importance of National Happiness.
• The theme for Happiness Day 2022 is Keep Calm, Stay Wise and Be Kind. Keeping cool and calm in every possible situation is the key to happiness and satisfaction. Staying wise in tough situations lead to wiser steps and success. Being Kind to others in their needs, mistakes and errors will help them grow and also make them feel better.

CAMS launches central record keeping agency under NPS

• The go-live and opening of the Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) under the National Pension System has been announced by Computer Age Management Services Limited (CAMS), India’s largest registrant and transfer agent of mutual funds (a SEBI regulated business). CAMS was chosen as a CRA by the sector regulator, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), to broaden the services available to NPS subscribers and the ecosystem.
• The National Pension Scheme (NPS), a voluntary retirement scheme created and administered by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), was launched by the Central Government on January 1, 2004 to assist in the building of a retirement corpus.
