संजय दत्त को मिला यूएई का गोल्डन वीजा

• UAE सरकार ने बॉलीवुड अभिनेता संजय दत्त को गोल्डन वीजा से सम्मानित किया। गोल्डन वीज़ा प्रणाली अनिवार्य रूप से उत्कृष्ट प्रतिभा वाले लोगों को दीर्घकालिक निवास प्रदान करती है। 2019 में, UAE ने लंबी अवधि के निवास वीजा के लिए एक नई प्रणाली लागू की, जिससे विदेशियों को राष्ट्रीय प्रायोजक की आवश्यकता के बिना और उनके व्यवसाय के 100% स्वामित्व के साथ रहने, काम करने और अध्ययन करने में सक्षम बनाया गया।
• संजय दत्त गोल्डन वीज़ा प्राप्त करने वाले पहले मुख्यधारा हैं। वीजा की वैधता या तो 5 या 10 साल की होती है और यह स्वतः ही नवीनीकृत हो जाती है।

सरकार ने युवा लेखकों को सलाह देने के लिए YUVA पीएम योजना शुरू की

• शिक्षा मंत्रालय के तहत उच्च शिक्षा विभाग ने 'युवा- युवा लेखकों को सलाह देने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री योजना (YUVA- Prime Minister’s Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors)' नामक एक नई पहल शुरू की है। YUVA का पूर्ण रूप Young, Upcoming and Versatile Authors है। यह देश में पढ़ने, लिखने और पुस्तक संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने तथा भारत और भारतीय लेखन को विश्व स्तर पर व्यक्त करने के लिए 30 वर्ष से कम आयु के युवा और उभरते लेखकों को प्रशिक्षित करने के लिए एक लेखक परामर्श कार्यक्रम है।
• शिक्षा मंत्रालय के तहत राष्ट्रिय पुस्तक न्यास (National Book Trust), भारत, योजना के लिए कार्यान्वयन एजेंसी होगी।
• एक अखिल भारतीय प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से कुल 75 लेखकों का चयन किया जाएगा, जो 1 जून से 31 जुलाई 2021 तक https://www।mygov।in/ के माध्यम से आयोजित की जाएगी।
• युवा विजेता लेखकों को प्रख्यात लेखकों/संरक्षकों द्वारा प्रशिक्षित किया जाएगा।
• मेंटरशिप योजना के तहत छह महीने की अवधि के लिए प्रति लेखक 50,000 रुपये प्रति माह की समेकित छात्रवृत्ति का भुगतान किया जाएगा।

एनएसए डोभाल ने भारतीय तटरक्षक बल के जहाज (Sajag)सजग को चालू किया

• राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार (एनएसए), अजीत डोभाल ने भारतीय तटरक्षक (आईसीजी) अपतटीय गश्ती पोत (ओपीवी) सजग को कमीशन किया है, जिसका निर्माण गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड द्वारा किया गया है।
• सजग पांच अपतटीय गश्ती जहाजों की श्रृंखला में तीसरा है, जिसे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के 'मेक इन इंडिया' विजन के अनुरूप स्वदेशी रूप से डिजाइन किया गया है। स्वदेश निर्मित जहाज उन्नत प्रौद्योगिकी उपकरण, हथियार और सेंसर से लैस है जो दो इंजन वाले हेलीकॉप्टर और चार उच्च गति वाली नौकाओं को ले जाने में सक्षम है।

सीबीएसई ने C-19 का मुकाबला करने के लिए युवा योद्धा आंदोलन शुरू किया

• CBSE ने C-19 के खिलाफ लड़ने के लिए 5 मिलियन युवा लोगों को शामिल करने के लिए एक राष्ट्रव्यापी युवा योद्धा आंदोलन शुरू किया। इस आंदोलन से 50 मिलियन लोगों के प्रभावित होने की उम्मीद है। बोर्ड ने युवा मामले और खेल मंत्रालय, स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय, युवाह-यूनिसेफ और 950 से अधिक भागीदारों के एक बहु-हितधारक संघ के साथ मिलकर आंदोलन शुरू किया है।
• 10 से 30 वर्ष की आयु के छात्र और शिक्षक स्वयं को, अपने परिवार, अपने समुदायों और देश की सुरक्षा के लिए इस आंदोलन में शामिल हो सकते हैं!
• इस आंदोलन में युवा योद्धाओं के साथ उनकी भागीदारी और कार्यों को पूरा करने के लिए यूनिसेफ प्रमाण पत्र अर्जित करने के साथ आसान और वास्तविक जीवन के कार्यों की एक श्रृंखला शामिल होगी।
• कार्यों में सत्यापित स्वास्थ्य और आवश्यक सेवाओं तक पहुंच को बढ़ावा देना, वैक्सीन पंजीकरण, C-19 उपयुक्त व्यवहार, मिथकों को खत्म करना आदि शामिल हैं।
• इन कार्यों को 10 क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में आयोजित किया जाएगा ताकि खुद को, अपने परिवार और अपने पड़ोस को C-19 से बचाया जा सके।

IPL 2021 के यूएई में सितंबर-अक्टूबर में फिर से शुरू होने की उम्मीद

• भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (BCCI) ने पुष्टि की है कि IPL 2021 के दूसरे चरण का आयोजन UAE में सितंबर-अक्टूबर में होगा।
• BCCI अध्यक्ष सौरव गांगुली की अध्यक्षता में एक विशेष आम बैठक में, भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (BCCI) ने राज्य इकाइयों को पुष्टि की कि टूर्नामेंट को 'मानसून' के कारण भारत से बाहर स्थानांतरित करना होगा।

नियुक्ति एवं इस्‍तीफे

सीआरपीएफ के डीजी कुलदीप सिंह को मिला राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी का अतिरिक्त प्रभार

• केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल के महानिदेशक कुलदीप सिंह को राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी, NIA के महानिदेशक का अतिरिक्त प्रभार दिया गया है। वे वाई सी मोदी की सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद 31 या इस महीने के बाद अतिरिक्त पद संभालेंगे।
• गृह मंत्रालय ने 1986 बैच के पश्चिम बंगाल कैडर के अधिकारी, सिंह को अतिरिक्त प्रभार सौंपा, जो इस साल 16 मार्च से CRPF के महानिदेशक का पद संभाल रहे हैं। उन्हें 30 सितंबर, 2022 - उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति की तारीख तक DG, CRPF के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है।

विश्व दुग्ध दिवस 2021: 01 जून

• संयुक्त राष्ट्र का खाद्य और कृषि संगठन वैश्विक खाद्य के रूप में दूध के महत्व को पहचानने और डेयरी क्षेत्र का जश्न मनाने के लिए हर साल 01 जून को विश्व दुग्ध दिवस मनाता है। इसका उद्देश्य लोगों को पोषण, पहुंच और सामर्थ्य सहित स्वास्थ्य के संबंध में डेयरी के लाभों के बारे में बात करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है।
• इस वर्ष, हमारा विषय पर्यावरण, पोषण और सामाजिक-अर्थशास्त्र के संदेशों के साथ डेयरी क्षेत्र में स्थिरता पर केंद्रित होगा। ऐसा करके हम दुनिया के सामने डेयरी फार्मिंग को फिर से पेश करेंगे।

माता-पिता का वैश्विक दिवस 2021: 01 जून

• संयुक्त राष्ट्र दुनिया भर में सभी माता-पिता को सम्मानित करने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष 1 जून को माता-पिता का वैश्विक दिवस मनाता है। माता-पिता का वैश्विक दिवस अपने बच्चों के पालन-पोषण और सुरक्षा में परिवार की प्राथमिक जिम्मेदारी को पहचानता है। इसलिए, यह दिन अपने बच्चों के लिए सभी माता-पिता की निस्वार्थ प्रतिबद्धता को स्वीकार करता है, जिसमें इस रिश्ते को पोषित करने के लिए उनके आजीवन बलिदान शामिल हैं।
• माता-पिता का वैश्विक दिवस बच्चों के पालन-पोषण में माता-पिता की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका पर जोर देता है। दुनिया भर में सभी माता-पिता को सम्मानित करने के लिए 2012 में महासभा द्वारा इस दिन को नामित किया गया था।

सलमान रुश्दी की नई पुस्‍तक "लैंग्वेज ऑफ ट्रुथ: एसेज 2003-2020"

• सलमान रुश्दी (Salman Rushdie) ने "लैंग्वेज ऑफ ट्रुथ: एसेज 2003-2020 (Languages of Truth: Essays 2003-2020)" नामक पुस्तक लिखी।
• अपनी नई पुस्तक में, रुश्दी एक रक्षात्मक कास्टिंग चाल करने का प्रयास करते हैं। उनका सुझाव है कि उनके काम को गलत समझा गया है और उनके साथ दुर्व्यवहार किया गया है क्योंकि साहित्यिक संस्कृति ब्रियो-भरे कल्पनाशील लेखन से "ऑटोफिक्शन" के विनम्र प्रसन्नता की ओर बदल गई है, जैसा कि ऐलेना फेरेंटे और कार्ल ओवे नोसगार्ड के काम का उदाहरण दिया गया है।

भारतीय क्रिकेट कोच रवि शाहत्री की पहली पुस्‍तक 'स्टारगेजिंग: द प्लेयर्स इन माई लाइफ'

• क्रिकेट ऑलराउंडर, कमेंटेटर और कोच, रवि शास्त्री अब अपना प्रकाशन शुरू कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने 'स्टारगेजिंग: द प्लेयर्स इन माई लाइफ' नामक एक पुस्तक लिखी है।
• पुस्तक का प्रकाशन हार्पर कॉलिन्स इंडिया द्वारा किया जा रहा है। इसके सह-लेखक अयाज मेमन हैं। यह 25 जून, 2021 को रिलीज़ होने की उम्मीद है। शास्त्री ने किताब में दुनिया भर से मिले लगभग 60 असाधारण प्रतिभाओं के बारे में लिखा है जिन्होंने उन्हें प्रेरित किया है।

बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

आरबीआई ने एचडीएफसी बैंक पर उसके नियामक अनुपालन में कमी के लिए 10 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया

• भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने बैंक के ऑटो ऋण पोर्टफोलियो में पाई गई नियामक अनुपालन में कमियों के लिए HDFC बैंक पर 10 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। RBI के अनुसार, HDFC बैंक ने बैंकिंग विनियमन अधिनियम, 1949 की धारा 6(2) और धारा 8 के प्रावधानों का उल्लंघन किया है।
• शिकायत प्राप्त करने के बाद, RBI ने बैंक के ऑटो ऋण ग्राहकों को तीसरे पक्ष के गैर-वित्तीय उत्पादों के विपणन और बिक्री में एक परीक्षा आयोजित की और पाया कि बैंक नियामक निर्देशों का उल्लंघन कर रहा था। RBI ने बैंकिंग विनियमन अधिनियम की धारा 46(4)(i) के साथ पठित धारा 47A(1)(c) के प्रावधानों के तहत केंद्रीय बैंक द्वारा निहित शक्तियों के प्रयोग में मौद्रिक दंड लगाया है।

NATIONAL

Sanjay Dutt received UAE’s Golden Visa

• The UAE government awarded Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt with its Golden Visa. The Golden Visa system essentially offers long-term residency to people with outstanding talents. In 2019, UAE implemented a new system for long-term residence visas enabling foreigners to live, work & study there without the need of a national sponsor & with 100% ownership of their business.
• Sanjay Dutt is the first mainstream to receive the Golden Visa. The visas have a validity of either 5 or 10 years and are renewed automatically.

Government launched YUVA PM Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors

• The Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education has launched a new initiative called ‘YUVA- Prime Minister’s Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors’. YUVA stands for Young, Upcoming and Versatile Authors. It is an Author Mentorship programme to train young and budding authors, below 30 years of age to promote reading, writing and book culture in the country, and project India and Indian writings globally.
• The National Book Trust, India under the Ministry of Education will be the Implementing Agency for the scheme.
• A total of 75 authors will be selected through an All India Contest, that will be conducted through https://www.mygov.in/ from 1 June – 31 July 2021.
• The young winning authors will be trained by eminent authors/mentors.
• A consolidated scholarship of Rs.50,000 per month for a period of six months per author will be paid under the Mentorship Scheme.

NSA Doval commissioned Indian Coast Guard’s ship Sajag

• National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval has commissioned the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) Sajag, which has been constructed by Goa Shipyard Limited.
• Sajag is the third in a series of five offshore patrol vessels indigenously designed in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ vision. The indigenously-built ship is fitted with advanced technology equipment, weapon and sensors capable to carry a twin-engine helicopter and four high-speed boats.

CBSE launched Young Warrior movement to combat C-19

• CBSE launched a nationwide Young Warrior movement to engage 5 million young people to fight against C-19. This movement is expected to impact 50 million people. The Board has launched the movement together with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, YuWaah-UNICEF, and a multi-stakeholder consortium of over 950 partners.
• Students and teachers between the ages of 10 and 30 years can join this movement to safeguard themselves, their families, their communities, and the country.
• The movement will comprise a series of easy and real-life tasks with the Young Warriors earning a UNICEF certificate for their participation and completion of tasks.
• The tasks include promoting access to verified health and essential services, vaccine registration, C-19 appropriate behaviours, myth-busting etc.
• These tasks will be hosted in 10 regional languages to protect themselves, their families and their neighbourhood against C-19.

SPORTS

IPL 2021 expected to resume in the UAE in September-October

• The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that the IPL 2021 Phase 2 will be held in the UAE during the September-October window.
• In a Special General Meeting chaired by BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed to the State units that the tournament will have to be shifted out of India on account of ‘monsoon.’

CRPF DG Kuldiep Singh gets additional charge of National Investigation Agency

• Director-General of Central Reserve Police Force, Kuldiep Singh has been given additional charge of Director General of National Investigation Agency, NIA. He will hold the additional post after 31st or this month after the superannuation of Y C Modi.
• The Ministry of Home Affairs assigned the additional charge to Singh, a 1986-batch West Bengal cadre officer, who has been handling the post of CRPF Director General since March 16 this year. He has been appointed as DG, CRPF up to September 30, 2022–the date of his superannuation.

World Milk Day 2021: 01st June

• The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations celebrates World Milk Day every year on 01st June to recognize the importance of milk as a global food, and to celebrate the dairy sector. It aims to encourage people to talk about the advantages of dairy with regards to health including nutrition, accessibility and affordability.
• This year, our theme will focus on Sustainability in the dairy sector with messages around the environment, nutrition and socio-economics. In doing so we will re-introduce dairy farming to the world.

Global Day of Parents 2021: 01st June

• United Nations celebrates Global Day of Parents on the 1st of June every year to honour all the parents throughout the world. The Global Day of Parents recognizes the primary responsibility of the family in nurturing and protecting their children. Hence, the day acknowledges the selfless commitment of all parents for their children including their lifelong sacrifice towards nurturing this relationship.
• The Global Day of Parents emphasizes the critical role of parents in the rearing of children. The day was designated by the General Assembly in 2012 to honour all the parents throughout the world.

Salman Rushdie’s New book “Languages of Truth: Essays 2003-2020”

• A book titled “Languages of Truth: Essays 2003-2020” authored by Salman Rushdie. In his new book, Rushdie attempts to perform a defensive castling move.
• He suggests his work has been misunderstood and mistreated because the literary culture has turned from brio-filled imaginative writing toward the humbler delights of “autofiction,” as exemplified by the work of Elena Ferrante and Karl Ove Knausgaard.

Indian cricket coach Ravi Shahtri’s Debut Book ‘Stargazing: The Players in My Life’

• Cricket all-rounder, commentator and coach, Ravi Shastri is now making his publishing debut, as he has penned a book titled ‘Stargazing: The Players in My Life’.
• The book is being published by HarperCollins India. It is been co-authored by Ayaz Memon. It is expected to be released on June 25, 2021. In the book, Shastri has written about some 60 extraordinary talents he has met from across the world who have inspired him.

BANKING AND ECONOMY

RBI imposed Rs 10 crore penalty on HDFC Bank for deficiency in its regulatory compliance

• The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a fine of Rs 10 crore on HDFC Bank for deficiencies in regulatory compliance found in the auto loan portfolio of the bank. As per the RBI, HDFC Bank has violated the provisions of section 6(2) and section 8 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
• After receiving a complaint from a whistleblower, RBI conducted an examination in the marketing and sale of third-party non-financial products to the bank’s auto loan customers and found that the bank was in contravention of regulatory directions. RBI has imposed the monetary penalty in the exercise of powers vested by the central bank under the provisions of Section 47A(1)(c) read with Section 46(4)(i) of the Banking Regulation Act.
