The UPPSC board conducts Civil Service exams, which is known as UPPSC RO ARO, every year for offering different types of Government posts in Uttar Pradesh. The formal test procedure began in the year of 1937.

UPPSC RO ARO Notification Dates 2020

The official notification about the examination date is yet to be released until now. However, according to the previous announcement, the application procedures of the previous examination began in the last week of December. So, you can expect that the UPPSC RO ARO notification of this year’s examination will release in February.

UPPSC RO ARO Vacancies

Last time, the UPPSC board announced a total sum of 465 vacancies on their UPPSC RO ARO Vacancy 2018 notification. Therefore, you can presume that the openings for UPPSC RO ARO Vacancies would also be around 460 to 465.  

UPPSC RO ARO Salary Structure 

If you get appointed for the job, then one of the following would be your salary structure.

1. ARO or Assistant Review Officer: Selected candidates for this post will receive the pay scale of Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/-, and grade pay of Rs. 4,200/-
2. RO or Review Officer: Chosen applicants for this post will get the pay band of Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- and grade pay of Rs. 4,800/-      

UPPSC RO ARO Application Process 2020

If you are going to apply online for the first time, then please follow the steps that have been listed below.

• Open the official website of UPPSC.
• On the homepage, you will be able to find a link named Notifications/Advertisement. Click on it.
• Once the new window opens, try to find the option, UPPSC Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer Recruiting Examination, 2020-2021, and click on it.
• Read all the general directives and the eligibility criteria thoroughly.
• Once you are done with reading, make sure to scroll down and click on the Apply Online Application Form option. After doing so, a new window will open where you can find a correctly prescribed registration form.  
• Now, you have to fill up all the mandatory fields, such as you and your guardian's name, date of birth, marital status, gender, Email ID, contact details, etc.
• Once you have completed filling up the details, then you would have to upload the images of your signature and recent photograph. Make sure to upload them in JPG format.
• After you have finished writing and uploading, then you need to check the whole form at least once to find out the mistakes. If there are no errors in your application, then you can click on the Submit button.
• Click the photo of your registration number on your mobile phone. You will need it later during the time of downloading your admit.

P.S. - After you have clicked on the submit button, a new window will open where you will get to see all of your information and uploaded images. Make sure to click a printed copy of it. You can use it as your proof of applying in the examination if you do not get your admit card.

UPPSC RO ARO Eligibility Criteria 2020

According to the last year’s UPPSC RO/ARO notification, the following were the eligibility criteria of the examination.

Educational Qualification

If you want to apply for this examination, then you will need to have at least any one of the following educational certificates.

• Bachelor’s degree on any subject
• Graduation degree on any subject
• Diploma course in Computer Science
• Post Graduation degree on any subject
• O level certification

Apart from that, you would also have to be capable of writing 25 words per minute in both English and Hindi language.

Age Limit

Here is what you need to know about the aspect of the age limit.

• If you belong to the general category, then your age has to be in between 21 years to 40 years.
• Age relaxation is only available for SC, OBC, ST, and PH categories.

UPPSC RO ARO Application and Examination Fee (Non-Refundable)

The following is the application fee structure of the UPPSC RO ARO examination.

• OBC and General: Exam Fee- 100 INR + Processing Fee (Online)- 25 INR= 125 INR
• PH Category: Exam Fee- 00 INR + Processing Fee (Online)- 25 INR= 25 INR
• SC and ST Category: Exam Fee- 40 INR + Processing Fee (Online)- 25 INR= 65 INR
• Ex-Serviceman and Women: According to the category they belong to  

To pay the examination fee, you can use your debit card, E-challan, Net Banking, Credit card, etc. However, after the payment procedure is done, make sure to collect the payment receipt.

UPPSC RO ARO Exam Pattern

According to the last UPPSC RO/ARO notification form, you would have to give three different exams to get selected by the board, which are Preliminary, Mains, and Interview. Here is what you need to know about the examination patterns.

Note: Each question will carry 1 mark. If you answer any one of them incorrectly, then 0.33 marks will be deducted.

UPPSC RO ARO Selection Process

You and all the other aspirants will have to perform their best and get more than the cutoff marks to get selected in the Interview examination. If you pass this oral test too, only then you will get selected for one of the previously-mentioned posts.
