Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board, Uttar Pradesh Police will start recruiting for the year 2020 in March 2020. As per the UP Constable notification, 52000 posts of constable and sub-inspector are vacant. Candidates can apply for the vacant posts online. The UP police constable new notification states that the application process is slated to start in January 2020. However, one needs to gather all the details regarding the recruitment before applying.
The vacant 52000 posts, the posts vacant for the constables will be divided into unreserved, OBC, SC and ST.
Interested candidates have to apply via an online application. According to the UP constable notification, the online application process will start in January and the last date of submitting the application is the 2nd week of February 2020. The application fees for the post of constable is Rs.200. The payment can be made through Credit and Debit Cars, e-Challan, Mobile Banking and so on. The last date of submitting the fees is the 4th week of March 2020.

The candidates will then need to fill-up the form with their information. All the data has to be authentic. After filling up the online form, the candidates will have to take a print out and submit the form. The application fees will have to be submitted along with the form.
The age of the applicant has to be 18 but no more than 28. No relaxation on the age has been stated in the UP constable notification, to any candidate belonging to any category.
It is clearly mentioned in the UP constable notification, that one must have completed 12th standard from a recognized school or board in order to be eligible for the post of constable. Moreover, the applicants only with basic computer typing knowledge can apply for the vacant posts.
The first two tests will be done as per the physical eligibility criteria. The candidates passing these two tests will qualify for the Medical Test round. The medical verification is a very important part. As per the UP police constable recruitment 2013 notification, this medical verification had to be done twice after a writ petition was filed in court. The last step of the whole recruitment process is Documentation Verification.
UP police constable latest notification indicates that the Written Test will consist of total marks of 300. 150 marks will be for General Knowledge and Current Affairs. 75 marks are to be given for Reasoning Ability and another 75 marks are for Numerical Ability. All the questions will be objective and multiple-choice type. For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted. The written test will be held offline and OMR Sheets will be given for the test. The Preliminary and Main Exam can be combined in a single paper.
The applicants will receive an admit card after a few days before the examination via email, provided the applicants are eligible for the post. The admit card will consist of all the necessary details such as the examination date, center and so on. Any candidate will not be allowed to sit for the examination in the absence of the admit card.
The salary of the Constables as stated in the UP constable notification is between Rs.5200 to 20,000. Their grade pay will be Rs.2000.
