• The GPSC Class 1 & 2 exam comprises of 3 stages – Preliminary examination, Mains examination, Personal Interview test.
• The GPSC Class 1 & 2 preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. It consists of 2 papers of 200 marks each, Paper 1 - General Ability Test (GAT) and paper 2 - Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT). Paper 1 contains 80 objective type questions and Paper 2 contains 100 objective type questions. The candidate will get 2 hours of the time of each paper and 1/3^rdof marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The GPSC Class 1 & 2 mains examination comprises of 6 papers, the candidate will get 3 hours for each paper, and marks allotted for each paper is 150 marks. It includes both objective and subjective type questions, and only for objective type question if there is any wrong answer then 0.33% marks will be deducted as penalty.
