गीतांजलि राव ने जीता टाइम मैगज़ीन का पहला “Kid Of The Year” अवार्ड

• भारतीय मूल की अमेरिकी युवा वैज्ञानिक और आविष्कारक गीतांजलि राव को प्रतिष्ठित टाइम मैगज़ीन द्वारा पहले ‘Kid of the Year’ अवार्ड के लिए चुना गया है। यह पहला मौका है जब TIME magazine द्वारा किड ऑफ द ईयर पुरस्कार दिया गया है।
• 15 वर्षकी गीतांजलि राव को 5,000 से अधिक प्रत्याशियों में से चुना गया था, जिन्होंने अपने "आश्चर्यजनक काम" के लिए तकनीक का उपयोग कर दूषित पेयजल से लेकर ओपियोड की लत और साइबरबुलिंग तक के मुद्दों का समाधान किया था।
• गीतांजली ने लोगों, विशेषकर बच्चों की मदद करने, ओपियोड की लत और साइबरबुलिंग से लड़ने के लिए 'Kindly' नामक एक एप्लिकेशन विकसित की हैं।
• इस पुरस्कार के लिए टाइम पत्रिका ने निकलोडियन के साथ साझेदारी की और 2020 के सबसे प्रभावशाली बच्चे को शॉर्टलिस्ट करने के लिए देश भर के सोशल मीडिया और जिलों के स्कूल में खोज की थी।

वेंकैया नायडू ने पूर्व पीएम आईके गुजराल के सम्मान में जारी किया डाक टिकट

• उपराष्ट्रपति वेंकैया नायडू ने वीडियो कांफ्रेसिंग के जरिए भारत के दिवंगत प्रधान मंत्री और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी आई के गुजराल (इंद्र कुमार गुजराल) के सम्मान में एक स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी किया है।
• आई. के. गुजराल भारत के 12 वें प्रधानमंत्री थे, उन्होंने अप्रैल 1997 से मार्च 1998 के दौरान प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया था। उनका जन्म 1919 में झेलम (अब पाकिस्तान में) में हुआ था। भारत के विदेश मंत्री के रूप में उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान, आईके गुजराल ने पाँच सिद्धांतों का सेट 'गुजराल सिद्धांत' जारी किया था, जो भारत के तात्कालिक पड़ोसियों के साथ विदेशी संबंधों के संचालन के लिए थे । वर्ष2012 में फेफड़ों में संक्रमण के कारण उनका निधन हो गया था।

 भारतीय और रूसी नौसेना के बीच किया जा PASSEX अभ्यास

• भारतीय नौसेना और रूसी नौसेना के बीच पूर्वी हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र (IOR) में पैसेज अभ्यास (PASSEX) किया जा रहा हैं। यह अभ्यास दोनों नौसेनाओं के बीच अंतर को कम करने, तालमेल में सुधार करने और सर्वोत्तम प्रयासों को आत्मसात करने में मदद करेगा। इसमें उन्नत सतह और पनडुब्बी रोधी युद्ध अभ्यास, हथियार फ़ेरिंग, सीमांसशिप अभ्यास और हेलीकाप्टर संचालन भी शामिल हैं।
• अभ्यास में भारतीय नौसेना की ओर से विशेष हेलीकॉप्टरों के साथ स्वदेशी निर्मित निर्देशित-मिसाइल-फ्रिगेट शिवालिक और पनडुब्बी रोधी कार्वेट कदमत हिस्सा ले रहे है। रूस की तरफ से गाइडेड-मिसाइल क्रूजर वैराग, विशाल पनडुब्बी रोधी जहाज एडमिरल पेंटेलेयेव और मध्यम महासागर टैंकर पेचेन्गा शामिल हैं। PASSEX नियमित रूप से मैत्रीपूर्ण विदेशी नौसेना की इकाइयों के साथ भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा संचालित किया जाता है।

नेताजी की 125 वीं जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में "माजेरहाट ब्रिज" का नाम बदलकर किया "जय हिंद"

• पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने सुभाष चंद्र बोस की 125 वीं जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में कोलकाता में नवनिर्मित "माजेरहाट ब्रिज" का नाम बदलकर 'जय हिंद' पुल कर दिया है। इस नए पुल को एक पुराने पुल के स्थान पर बनाया गया है जो सितंबर 2018 में ढह गया था।
• यह पुल 650 मीटर लंबा है और जो कोलकाता के मध्य भाग को बेहाला और अन्य के दक्षिण-पश्चिमी उपनगरों से जोड़ता है।

रंजीतसिंह दिसाले बने ग्लोबल टीचर प्राइज जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय

• Global Teacher Prize 2020: महाराष्ट्र के सोलापुर जिले के परितेवाड़ी गाँव की जिला परिषद प्राथमिक विद्यालय के एक सरकारी शिक्षक रंजीतसिंह दिसाले को वर्ष 2020 के ग्लोबल टीचर पुरस्कार (Global Teacher Prize) के लिए चुना गया है। वह इस पुरस्कार को जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय हैं, जिसमे 1 मिलियन डॉलर (7.4 करोड़ रुपये) की पुरस्कार राशि प्रदान की जाती हैं।
• 32 वर्षीय शिक्षक ने अपने गांव में लड़कियों की शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने और भारत में त्वरित-प्रतिक्रिया (quick-response) कोडि आधारित पाठ्यपुस्तक क्रांति को गति देने के अपने प्रयासों के लिए वार्षिक ग्लोबल शिक्षक पुरस्कार 2020 जीता है। उन्होंने ऑडियो कविताओं, वीडियो व्याख्यान, कहानियों और असाइनमेंट के लिंक प्रदान करने के लिए प्राथमिक कक्षाओं की पाठ्य पुस्तकों में क्यूआर कोड जोड़ने की दिशा प्रयास किए थे। उन्होंने लड़कियों के लिए शिक्षा और कम आयु में विवाह के दुष्प्रभावों के बारे में लोगों को बताने की दिशा में भी काम किया और लड़कियों की शत-प्रतिशत उपस्थिति भी हासिल करने में मदद की।
• रंजीतसिंह ने पुरस्कार की आधी राशि को दुनिया भर से चुने गए नौ फाइनलिस्टों के साथ साझा करने की घोषणा करके इतिहास भी रचा है, जिसमे प्रत्येक प्रतिभागी को लगभग $ 55,000 प्राप्त होंगे। इसके साथ ही वह पुरस्कार इतिहास में फाइनलिस्ट के साथ पुरस्कार राशि साझा करने वाले पहले विजेता भी बन गए हैं।
• ग्लोबल टीचर प्राइज वर्कि फाउंडेशन (Varkey Foundation) द्वारा 2014 में शुरू किया गया एक वार्षिक पुरस्कार है जो एक असाधारण शिक्षक को चिन्हित करने के लिए दिया जाता है जिसने इस पेशे में उत्कृष्ट योगदान दिया होता है। यह पुरस्कार यूनेस्को की साझेदारी में प्रदान किया जाता है।

उपराष्ट्रपति ने पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ. कलाम के जीवन पर लिखी पुस्तक का किया विमोचन

• उपराष्ट्रपति एम वेंकैया नायडू ने पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ. एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम के जीवन पर लिखी गई “40 Years with Abdul Kalam- Untold Stories” शीर्षक एक किताब का विमोचन किया है। इस पुस्तक का लेखन डॉ. ए.शिवथानु पिल्लई ने किया था। पुस्तक पेंटागन प्रेस एलएलपी द्वारा प्रकाशित की गई है और इसकी प्रस्तावना को भारत के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी ने लिखा है।
• इस पुस्तक में डॉ. एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम के जीवन का पहला विवरण दिया गया, जिन्हें सरलता, ईमानदारी और ज्ञान का प्रतीक बताया गया था।
• डॉ. कलाम ने भारत के रक्षा क्षेत्र को मजबूत किया और भारत की अंतरिक्ष क्षमताओं के विकास में योगदान दिया।
• पुस्तक में इसरो, डीआरडीओ और ब्रह्मोस की घटनाओं और पॉवर गलियारों के साथ उनकी बातचीत सहित उनके जीवन की घटनाओं पर चर्चा की गई है।
• डॉ. ए शिवथानु पिल्लई ने अपने दस वर्ष के अंतरिक्ष करियर के दौरान डॉ. विक्रम साराभाई की सहायता की है और डॉ एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम के साथ सैटेलाइट लॉन्च व्हीकल -3 (एसएलवी 3) और पोलर सैटेलाइट लॉन्च व्हीकल (पीएसवीवी) कॉन्फ़िगरेशन डिज़ाइन और प्रो. सतीश धवन के साथ भविष्य के ISRO प्रक्षेपण वाहनों और मिशनों के अध्ययन में काम किया है।

एक्सिस बैंक ने MSMEs के लिए लॉन्च किया 'एक्सिस बैंक रुपी बिजनेस क्रेडिट कार्ड'

• एक्सिस बैंक लिमिटेड ने Rupifi और Visa के साथ मिलकर माइक्रो, स्मॉल एंड मीडियम एंटरप्राइजेज (MSME) के लिए‘Axis Bank Rupifi Business Credit Card’ लॉन्च किया है। यह संपर्क रहित सह-ब्रांडेड क्रेडिट कार्ड है, जो कि वीज़ा द्वारा संचालित है, केवल उन MSMEs व्यवसायों के लिए होगा, जो अपने व्यापार में खरीद के लिए Rupifi PAN (स्थायी खाता संख्या) भारत के साथ भागीदारी किए गए एग्रीगेटर प्लेटफार्मों पर लेनदेन करते हैं। यह कार्ड ऐसे MSMEs को क्रेडिट समाधान प्रदान करता है। यह केवल घरेलू लेनदेन के लिए इस्तेमाल होगा।

क्रेडिट कार्ड औसत सीमा

• कार्ड द्वारा दी जाने वाली औसत क्रेडिट सीमा 1 लाख रुपये से 2 लाख रुपये प्रति माह के बीच होगी।
• यह पिछले 6 महीनों के एग्रीगेटर प्लेटफॉर्म, जीएमवी (ग्रॉस मंथली वॉल्यूम) के साथ-साथ एमएसएमई के लेन-देन के कारोबारी आंकड़ों के आधार पर और अन्य कारकों के बीच समग्र राजस्व के आधार पर तय की जाएगी।
• ज्वाइनिंग शुल्क 1000 रुपये है और इस कार्ड के लिए कोई वार्षिक शुल्क नहीं है.

साइकिलिंग की सुविधा और ब्याज मुक्त क्रेडिट अवधि

• कार्ड 51 दिनों के ब्याज-मुक्त क्रेडिट अवधि के साथ आएगा।
• कार्ड की साइकिलिंग सुविधा ग्राहकों को प्रत्येक बिलिंग चक्र के अंत में पूर्ण शेष राशि का भुगतान करने या न्यूनतम राशि का भुगतान करके एक महीने से अगले महीने तक शेष राशि का भुगतान करने का विकल्प प्रदान करती है।

Gitanjali Rao becomes 1st-ever TIME’s “Kid Of The Year”

• The Indian-American young scientist and inventor, Gitanjali Rao, has been named as the first-ever ‘Kid of the Year’ by the iconic TIME magazine. This is the first time that the TIME magazine has launched the Kid of The Year” award.
• The 15-year-old Gitanjali Rao was chosen from among more than 5,000 nominees, for her “astonishing work” using technology to tackle issues ranging from contaminated drinking water to opioid addiction and cyberbullying.
• She has created applications named ‘Kindly’ to help people, especially kids, fight opioid addiction and cyberbullying.
• TIME magazine had partnered with Nickelodeon and searched social media and school districts across the country to shortlist the most influential child of 2020.

Naidu virtually releases postage stamp in former PM IK Gujral’s honour

• Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has virtually released a commemorative Postage Stamp in honour of the late Prime Minister of India & Freedom Fighter, I K Gujral (Inder Kumar Gujral).
• I K Gujral was the 12th Prime Minister of India, he served as the Prime Minister from April 1997-March 1998. He was born in Jhelum (now in Pakistan) in 1919. During his tenure as India’s External Affairs Minister, I K Gujral laid a set of five principles – ‘Gujral Doctrine’ to guide the conduct of foreign relations with India’s immediate neighbours. He passed away in 2012 due to a lung infection.

 PASSEX conducted by Indian Navy and Russian Navy

• The Indian Navy (IN) and the Russian Federation Navy (RuFN) are undertaking Passage Exercise (PASSEX) in the Eastern Indian Ocean Region (IOR). The exercise will help in enhancing interoperability, improving understanding and imbibing best practices between both the friendly navies. It involves advanced surface and anti-submarine warfare exercises, weapon firings, seamanship exercises and helicopter operations.
• Indian Navy is being represented by indigenously constructed guided-missile frigate Shivalik and anti-submarine corvette Kadmatt along with integral helicopters. Russian Federation Navy includes guided-missile cruiser Varyag, the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleyev and medium ocean tanker Pechenga. The PASSEX’s are conducted regularly by Indian Navy with units of friendly foreign navies.

Majerhat Bridge named “Jai Hind” to Mark Netaji’s 125th Birth Anniversary

• West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee named the newly built “Majerhat bridge” in Kolkata as ‘Jai Hind’ bridge to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Subash Chandra Bose.
• The new bridge has been built in the place of an old one which collapsed in September 2018. It is 650-metres long and connects the Central part of Kolkata to the Southwestern suburbs of Behala and others.

Ranjitsinh Disale becomes 1st Indian to win 2020 Global Teacher Prize

• Ranjitsinh Disale, a government teacher from Zilla Parishad Primary School, in Paritewadi village, Solapur district of Maharashtra, has won the 2020 Global Teacher Prize. He is the first Indian to win this award, which carries prize money of $1 million (Rs 7.4 crore).
• The 32-year-old has won the annual Global Teacher Prize 2020 in recognition of his efforts to promote girls’ education in his village and trigger a quick-response (QR) coded textbook revolution in India. He made efforts and added QR codes to textbooks of primary classes to provide links to audio poems, video lectures, stories and assignments. He also worked towards education for girls and teaching people about the ill-effects of teenage marriage and even helped to achieve 100% attendance of girls.
• Ranjitsinh has also created history by announcing to share half the prize money with the nine finalists from across the world for the award, where each one will receive about $55,000 each. He also becomes the first winner to share the prize money with the finalists.
• The Global Teacher Prize is an annual prize founded by the Varkey Foundation in 2014 to recognise an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession. The award is given in partnership with UNESCO.

Vice President releases a book on Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam

• The Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu has released the book titled “40 Years with Abdul Kalam- Untold Stories”, a book on the life of the former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The book was authored by Dr A.Sivathanu Pillai. The book is published by Pentagon Press LLP and the foreword was written by Pranab Mukherjee, former president of India.
• The book provided a first-hand account of the life of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who was described as the epitome of simplicity, honesty and wisdom.
• Dr. Kalam strengthened the Defence sector of India and contributed to the development of India’s space capabilities.
• The book discusses his life events including the events at ISRO, DRDO and BrahMos and his interaction with the power corridors
• Dr A. Sivathanu Pillai has assisted Dr Vikram Sarabhai during the evolution of the ten-year space profiles and worked with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in Satellite Launch Vehicle-3 (SLV3) and Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) configuration design and with Prof. Satish Dhawan in the study of future ISRO launch vehicles and missions.

Axis Bank launches ‘Axis Bank Rupi Business Credit Card’ for MSMEs

• Axis Bank Ltd in partnership with Rupifi and Visa launched ‘Axis Bank Rupifi Business Credit Card’ for MSMEs(Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises). This Contactless Co-Branded credit card, powered by Visa is applicable only to the MSMEs businesses that transact on the aggregator platforms partnered with Rupifi PAN (Permanent Account Number) India for their business purchases. The card offers credit solutions to such MSMEs. It is only for domestic transactions.

Average Credit Limit

• The average credit limit offered by the card will be between the range of Rs 1 Lakh and Rs 2 lakh per month.
• This will be decided on the basis of the business data of the transaction of the MSME with the aggregator platforms, GMV (Gross Monthly Volume) of the last 6 months and overall revenue among other factors.
• The joining fee is Rs 1000 and the annual fee is not required for this card.

Revolve feature & Interest-free Credit Period

• The card comes with a 51 days interest-free credit period.
• The revolving feature of the card provides the customers with an option to pay the full balance at the end of each billing cycle or to carry over the balance from one month to the next by paying a minimum amount.
