कैबिनेट ने 1 अप्रैल से RoSCTL योजना को जारी रखने की मंजूरी दी 

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने 1 अप्रैल 2020 से राज्य और केंद्रीय कर और लेवी (RoSCTL) योजना की छूट जारी रखने के लिए मंजूरी दे दी। 

• तब तक, निर्यात उत्पाद पर उत्पाद शुल्क और करों के छूट (RoDTEP) के साथ विलय कर दिया जाएगा। उम्मीद है कि टेक्सटाइल क्षेत्र को उन सभी करों और लेवी को छूट देकर प्रतिस्पर्धी बनाया जाएगा जो वर्तमान में किसी अन्य तंत्र के तहत छूट नहीं दे रहे हैं। 

दिल्ली सरकार ने दिल्ली पर्यटन को ब्रांड बनाने के लिए 100 करोड़ रुपये की “ब्रांडिंग दिल्ली” योजना की घोषणा की 

• दिल्ली सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय राजधानी को घरेलू और विदेशी पर्यटकों के लिए एक पर्यटन ब्रांड के रूप में पेश करने और क्षेत्र में समाचार नौकरियों का सृजन करने के लिए "ब्रांडिंग दिल्ली" नामक एक नई योजना की घोषणा की है। 

• 100 करोड़ रुपये की योजना दिल्ली पर्यटन को फिर से ब्रांड बनाएगी और शहर को घरेलू और विदेशी पर्यटकों के लिए देश और विदेश में एक पर्यटन ब्रांड के रूप में पेश किया जाएगा। 

GST Return Date: 30 जून तक करें GST रिटर्न दाखिल, के कारण बढ़ी समयसीमा 

कारोबारियों के लिए मार्च- मई की जीएसटी रिटर्न दाखिल करने की अंतिम तारीख 30 जून 2020 कर दी गई है। तारीख बढ़ाते हुए वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा कि पांच करोड़ रुपये तक का कारोबार करने वाली कंपनियों से जीएसटी रिटर्न दाखिल करने में देरी पर कोई विलंब शुल्क, जुर्माना अथवा ब्याज नहीं लिया जायेगा। 

सीतारमण ने मंगलवार को वीडियो कन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिये कहा कि पांच करोड़ रुपये से अधिक कारोबार करने वाली कंपनियों के मामले में 15 दिन के भीतर जीएसटी रिटर्न दाखिल करने पर कोई विलंब शुलक और जुर्माना नहीं लिया जायेगा। ऐसे मामलों में देरी होने पर 9 फीसद की घटी दर पर ब्याज लगाया जायेगा। 

अंतरराष्ट्रीय

 अमेरिका और यूएई ने शुरू किया सैन्य अभ्यास, 

दुनिया पर छाए  के संकट के बीच अमेरिका और संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (यूएई) की इलीट फोर्स ने सोमवार से सैन्य अभ्यास शुरू किया। यूएई के अल हमारा सैन्य अड्डे पर जारी इस अभ्यास में अमेरिका के मरीन कमांडो और अमीराती कमांडो खासतौर से हिस्सा ले रहे हैं। ईरान से चल रहे अमेरिका के तनावपूर्ण संबंधों के बीच इस सैन्य अभ्यास का होना भी खुद में खास है। 

अल हमारा अड्डे में इस अभ्यास के लिए खासतौर पर कई निर्माण किए गए हैं। रेत के टीले तैयार किए गए हैं, मस्जिद तैयार की गई है और कई इमारतें बनाई गई हैं। ज्यादातर निर्माण दिखावटी हैं लेकिन युद्ध स्थितियों को ध्यान में रखकर यह सब किया गया है। इसमें हेलीकॉप्टर और जहाजों से जमीन और पानी में दुश्मनों की खोज का अभ्यास भी किया जा रहा है। जहाज फारस की खाड़ी में अभ्यास कर रहे हैं। 

डब्ल्यूएचओ ने के खिलाफ लड़ने के भारत के प्रयासों की सराहना की 

• विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (डब्ल्यूएचओ) ने हाल ही में भारत द्वारा राष्ट्र में  प्रयासो की सराहना की। 

• डब्लूएचओ के कार्यकारी निदेशक, माइकल जे रेयान ने कहा कि भारत में महामारी से निपटने के लिए एक जबरदस्त क्षमता है। इससे पहले, भारत चेचक और पोलियो महामारी के उन्मूलन में सफल रहा है। 

बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था 

लड़ने में मदद करने के लिए SBI ने वार्षिक लाभ का 0.25 प्रतिशत प्रदान करने की घोषणा की 

• भारत के सबसे बड़े ऋणदाता भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (SBI) ने भारत में प्रकोप से लड़ने के लिए 2020-21 के लिए अपने वार्षिक लाभ का 0.25 प्रतिशत प्रदान करने की घोषणा की है। 

• यह 23 मार्च 2020 को कॉरपोरेट मामलों के मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना के अनुरूप है, कंपनियों द्वारा सीएसआर फंड खर्च करने के लिए कंपनी कानून के तहत कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी (सीएसआर) गतिविधि के रूप में। 

आईएमएफ: वैश्विक मंदी का कारण हो सकता है 

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (IMF) ने बताया कि महामारी 2020 में वैश्विक मंदी का कारण बनेगी। 

• मंदी 2008-2009 के वैश्विक वित्तीय संकट से भी बदतर हो सकती है। 

• यह भी उम्मीद की जाती है कि 2021 में विश्व आर्थिक उत्पादन में सुधार होना चाहिए। 

• जानकारी आईएमएफ के प्रबंध निदेशक क्रिस्टालिना जॉर्जीवा द्वारा पारित की गई थी। 

करूर व्यास बैंक ने करूर जिले में प्री-पेड कार्ड Enkasu’ लॉन्च किया 

• भारत सरकार की डिजिटल पहल के अनुरूप, करूर व्यास बैंक ने जिले में नकदी के उपयोग को कम करने के लिए करूर में Enkasu’’नाम से एक प्री-पेड कार्ड लॉन्च किया है।

• बैंक ने नकदी की आवश्यकता को दूर करने के लिए अपने कैश मूवमेंट के तहत Enkasu कार्ड लॉन्च किया है, यह व्यापारियों और ग्राहकों दोनों के लिए समान रूप से फायदेमंद होगा। 

• Enkasu’ अर्ध बंद लूप में नियर फील्ड कम्युनिकेशन टेक्नोलॉजी पर काम करता है।

• से निपटने के लिए 'संदेश को पास आउट करने के अभियान शुरू किया गया है। जागरूकता अभियान का नेतृत्व 28 खिलाड़ियों द्वारा किया जाएगा, जो 13 भाषाओं में प्रकाशित होने वाले वीडियो अभियान में शामिल होंगे, जिनमें अर्जेंटीना के सुपरस्टार लियोनेल मेसी और विश्व कप विजेता जैसे फिलिप लाहम, इस्कॉन लिलियास जैसे कुछ सर्वश्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी शामिल हैं । 

• 'संदेश को पास आउट करने के लिए अभियान ने लोगों को डब्ल्यूएचओ मार्गदर्शन के अनुसार अपने स्वास्थ्य की रक्षा के लिए अनुसरण करने के लिए पाँच प्रमुख चरणों को बढ़ावा दिया, हैंडवाशिंग, खाँसी, अपने चेहरे को छूने नहीं, शारीरिक दूरी और अस्वस्थ महसूस करना, शिष्टाचार पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया।

समीर अग्रवाल होंगे बेस्ट प्राइस वॉलमार्ट इंडिया के सीईओ 

 समीर अग्रवाल बेस्ट प्राइस, वॉलमार्ट इंडिया के अगले सीईओ होंगे। वह कृष अय्यर की जगह लेंगे और अगले एक अप्रैल से अपना कार्यभार संभाल लेंगे। वॉलमार्ट इंडिया से मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक समीर अग्रवाल सीधे डर्क वान डेन बेर्घे को रिपोर्ट करेंगे, जो एशिया व ग्लोबल सोर्सिंग के रीजनल सीईओ और एग्जिक्युटिव वाइस प्रेजिडेंट हैं। 

कृष अय्यर पूर्णकालिक प्रबंधन से सेवानिवृत्ति ले रहे हैं और अब बेस्ट प्राइस, वॉलमार्ट इंडिया के सलाहकार की भूमिका निभाएंगे। अग्रवाल अप्रैल 2018 में वॉलमार्ट इंडिया से एग्जिक्युटिव वाइस प्रेजिडेंट के तौर पर जुड़े थे। उन्होंने इस दौरान रणनीति एवं प्रशासन का काम संभाला तथा जनवरी 2020 में पदोन्नति प्राप्त कर डिप्टी सीईओ बने।

गुलामी के शिकार और ट्रान्साटलांटिक दास व्यापार के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्मरण दिवस 

• संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ (यूएन) हर साल 25 मार्च को गुलामी के शिकार और ट्रांसलेटैटिक स्लेव ट्रेड के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्मरण दिवस का आयोजन करता है। 

• दिन का उद्देश्य उन लोगों को सम्मानित करना और उन्हें याद करना है जो क्रूर गुलामी प्रणाली के हाथों पीड़ित और मर गए थे और आज भी नस्लवाद और पूर्वाग्रह के खतरों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाते हैं।

National 

Cabinet approved the continuation of RoSCTL scheme from 1 April 

• The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved for continuation of Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) scheme from 1 April 2020. 

• Until then, the scheme will be merged with the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP). It is expected to make the textile sector competitive by rebating all taxes and levies that are currently not being rebated under any other mechanism. 

Delhi Government Announces Rs 100-cr “Branding Delhi” scheme to make Delhi tourism brand 

• The Delhi government has announced a new scheme titled “Branding Delhi”, to introduce the national capital as a tourism brand to domestic and foreign tourists and create news jobs in the sector. 

• The Rs 100-crore scheme will re-brand Delhi tourism and the city will be introduced as a tourism brand in the country and abroad to domestic and foreign tourists. 

Deadline for GST returns extended to 30 June 

• Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has extended the last date for filing GST returns for March, April, and May to 30 June. 

• The previous date for filing of GST returns was March 31, 2020. 

• The deadline for composition returns on GST has been also been extended to 30 June 2020. 

International 

US & UAE troops launch biennial exercise “Native Fury” 

• US Marines and UAE Emirati forces conducted the biennial exercise, named Native Fury at Abu Dhabi. The biennial exercise, called Native Fury, shows the close ties between American forces and the United Arab Emirates, a federation of seven sheikhdoms on the Arabian Peninsula home to Abu Dhabi. 

• The forces seize a sprawling model Middle Eastern city, a drill conducted amid tensions with Iran and despite the new virus pandemic. 

• It also comes after the U.S. killed Iran’s most prominent general in a drone strike in January, and Tehran retaliated with a ballistic missile attack on American forces in Iraq. 

WHO applauds India's efforts to combat against virus 

• The World Health Organization (WHO) recently applauded the efforst made by India to contain the spread in the nation. 

• The Executive Director of WHO, Michael J. Raynan said recognised that there is a tremendous potential in India to deal with virus pandemic. Earlier, India has been succesful in eradicating Smallpox and Polio pandemics. 

Banking and Economy 

SBI Commits 0.25% of FY21 annual profit to help fight current situation

• India’s biggest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has announced to provide 0.25 percent of its annual profit for 2020-21 to fight the virus outbreak in India. 

• This is in line with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ notification on 23 March 2020, for spending CSR funds by companies to deal with the virus outbreak as corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity under the companies law. 

IMF says current situation might cause a global recession 

• The International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported that the current situation will cause a global recession in 2020. 

• The recession could be worse than the global financial crisis of 2008-2009. 

• It is also expected that the world economic output should recover in 2021. 

• The information was passed by the IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. 

Karur Vysya Bank Launches Pre-paid Card ‘Enkasu’ in Karur District 

• In line with the digital initiative of the Government of India, Karur Vysya Bank has launched a pre-paid card named ‘Enkasu’ in Karur, to reduce the usage of cash in the district. 

• The bank has launched the Enkasu card under its Quit Cash Movement, to do away with the need for cash and it will be beneficial to both merchants and customers alike. 

• Enkasu works on Near Field Communication Technology in a semi closed loop.

Sunil Chhetri selected for FIFA campaign against current situation

• The campaign titled ‘Pass the message to kick out virus’ has been launched to combat the virus. The awareness campaign will be led by the 28 players, who will be involved in the video campaign to be published in 13 languages, include some of the best-known players like Argentine superstar Lionel Messi and World Cup winners like Philip Lahm, Iker Casillas and Carles Puyol. 

• The ‘Pass the message to kick out virus’ campaign promotes five key steps for people to follow to protect their health in line with WHO guidance, focused on handwashing, coughing etiquette, not touching your face, physical distance and staying home if feeling unwell.

Sameer Aggarwal appointed as CEO of Walmart India 

• Sameer Aggarwal has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walmart India. He will taker over as CEO from Krish Iyer with effect from 1st April 2020. 

• After assuming the charge as CEO of Walmart India, he will focus on building more digital, and omni-channel services at the retailer.

International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade 

• The United Nations’ (UN) observes the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade on 25 March every year. 

• The day aims to honour and remember those who suffered and died at the hands of the brutal slavery system and also raise awareness about the dangers of racism and prejudice today.
