बोरिस जॉनसन ने पीएम मोदी को ब्रिटने की मेजबानी में होने वाली G-7 समिट के लिए किया आमंत्रित

• ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री बोरिस जॉनसन ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को ब्रिटेन द्वारा मेजबानी की जाने वाली G-7 समिट 2021 में शामिल होने के लिए आमंत्रित किया है। ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री जॉनसन ने जनवरी में भारत के गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह में शामिल होने के लिए बहुत ही विनम्रता से भारत का निमंत्रण भी स्वीकार किया है।
• पीएम जॉनसन नई दिल्ली में भारत की वार्षिक गणतंत्र दिवस परेड में भाग लेंगे।

 भारत-इंडोनेशिया CORPAT के 35 वें संस्करण का हुआ आयोजन

• भारत और इंडोनेशियाई नौसेना के बीच भारत-इंडोनेशिया समन्वित गश्ती (IND-INDO CORPAT) का 35 वां संस्करण 17 से 18 दिसंबर 2020 तक आयोजित किया गया है। 35 वां IND-INDO CORPAT ऑपरेशन में आपसी तालमेल को बेहतर बनाने के लिए भारतीय नौसेना के प्रयासों में योगदान देगा और इंडो पैसिफिक में संबंधो को मजबूत बनाएगा।
• इस अभ्यास में स्वदेश निर्मित मिसाइल भारतीय नौसेना जहाज (INS) कुलिश और P8I समुद्री पैट्रोल एयरक्राफ्ट (MPA) ने इंडोनेशिया के नौसेना जहाज KRI कट न्याक दीन और कापिटन पेटिमुरा (पर्चिम I) श्रेणी का कार्वेट और इंडोनेशियाई नौसेना का एक MPA नौसेना समन्वित गश्ती के साथ हिस्सा लिया।
• समुद्री रिश्तों को मजबूत करने के लिए, दो नौसेनाएं 2002 के बाद से अपनी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुद्री सीमा रेखा के साथ क्षेत्र में शिपिंग और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार की सुरक्षा और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से कॉरपोरेट ले जा रही हैं। कॉर्पोरेशन नौसेनाओं के बीच समझ और अंतर्संचालनीयता का निर्माण करते हैं और अवैध गैरकानूनी (आईयूयू) मछली पकड़ने, मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी, समुद्री आतंकवाद, सशस्त्र डकैती और समुद्री डकैती को रोकने और दबाने के लिए उपायों की संस्था की सुविधा प्रदान करते हैं।

हैदराबाद के नेहरू जूलॉजिकल पार्क को मिला ISO सर्टिफिकेशन

• हैदराबाद स्थित नेहरू जूलॉजिकल पार्क को इसकी मानक कार्य प्रक्रियाओं के लिए ASCB, UK द्वारा ISO 9001: 2015 गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन मानक प्रमाणन (Quality Management Standards Certification) दिया गया है। इसके साथ ही हैदराबाद चिड़ियाघर अब आईएसओ 9001: 2015 गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन मानक प्रमाणपत्र प्राप्त करने वाला देश का पहला चिड़ियाघर बन गया है। यह तेलंगाना के वन मंत्री ए. इंद्र करण रेड्डी को प्रदान किया गया था।
• HYM अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रमाणपत्र, ASCB (यूके) द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त हाल ही में आईएसओ 9001: 2015 प्रमाणपत्र के लिए चिड़ियाघर का मूल्यांकन किया गया और स्वच्छता, खाद्य प्रसंस्करण, पशु प्रजनन, जू अस्पताल, पशु देखभाल, स्वच्छता रखरखाव और व्यस्व्था के क्षेत्र में नेहरू प्राणी उद्यान में पालन किए जा रहे मानकों में संतुष्टि और खुशी व्यक्त की।

 उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने किसानो के लिए शुरू किया किसान कल्याण मिशन

• उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने किसानों की आय को दोगुना करने के लिए एक विशेष कार्यक्रम शुरू करने की घोषणा की है। "किसान कल्याण मिशन" नाम का यह कार्यक्रम राज्य के सभी विधानसभा क्षेत्रों को कवर करेगा। किसान कल्याण मिशन के तहत, समूचे राज्य में विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाएगा।
• कृषि और संबंधित क्षेत्रों की प्रदर्शनियों का आयोजन किया जाएगा जिसमें एमएसएमई क्षेत्र की इकाइयों और आजीविका मिशन के उत्पाद शामिल भी होंगे।
• इसके अंतर्गत किसान बैठकों का भी आयोजन किया जाएगा, जिसमें प्रगतिशील किसान, वैज्ञानिक और कृषि विभाग से जुड़े कार्यकर्ता वैज्ञानिक खेती को समझाएंगे और सरकार की योजनाओं के बारे में जानकारी देंगे।
• इन आयोजनों के दौरान किसानों को कृषि विभाग की विभिन्न योजनाओं के तहत लाभ दिया जाएगा।
• किसान कल्याण मिशन के तहत राज्य सरकार के कई विभाग जैसे कृषि विपणन मंडी परिषद, बागवानी, पशुपालन, मत्स्य पालन, गन्ना उत्पाद और आपूर्ति और पंचायती राज मिलकर काम करेंगे।

 ओडिशा के सीएम नवीन पटनायक ने किया 'परिश्रम' पोर्टल का शुभारंभ

• ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से श्रम और कर्मचारी राज्य बीमा विभाग की 22 ऑनलाइन सेवाओं के साथ 'परिश्रम' पोर्टल का उद्घाटन किया। ये पोर्टल और ऑनलाइन सेवाएं "Ease of Doing Business" यानि कारोबार को आसान बनाने में सहायक होंगी और राज्य के औद्योगिक विकास में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगी।
• पोर्टल आने वाले दिनों में 52 प्रकार की सेवाएं प्रदान करेगा। यह तकनीक 5-T पहल की नींव है और इससे परिवर्तन लाने में मदद मिलेगी, साथ ही उम्मीद जताई गई है कि इससे विभिन्न श्रम कानूनों के बारे में जानकारी उपलब्ध होगी और पोर्टल के माध्यम से उद्योगों, वाणिज्यिक संगठनों, छोटे उद्यमियों और आम लोगों को लाभ मिलेगा।

• Best FIFA Player 2020: बेयर्न म्यूनिख के स्ट्राइकर, रॉबर्ट लेवांडोव्स्की (Robert Lewandowski) ने पिछले साल के विजेता लियोनेल मेस्सी और क्रिस्टियानो रोनाल्डो को हराकर बेस्ट फीफा मेन्स प्लेयर 2020 का खिताब जीता है। 32 वर्षीय लेवांडोव्स्की, यूरोप में सबसे ज्यादा गोल करने वाले और बायर्न के साथ चैंपियंस लीग के विजेता हैं।

एनएचएआई के चेयरमैन सुखबीर सिंह संधू को मिला छह महीने का एक्सटेंशन

• सरकार ने भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) के अध्यक्ष सुखबीर सिंह संधू का कार्यकाल छह महीने के लिए बढ़ा दिया है।
• मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति ने सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय के केंद्रीय प्रतिनियुक्ति, एनएचएआई के अध्यक्ष के रूप में संधू कार्यकाल के विस्तार को मंजूरी दे दी है, जो 21 जनवरी, 2021 से छह महीने की अवधि के लिए, यानी 21 जुलाई, 2021 तक का होगा। संधू उत्तराखंड कैडर के 1988 बैच के आईएएस अधिकारी हैं।

एडीबी और भारत ने यूपी में बिजली परियोजनाओं के लिए 300 मिलियन डॉलर के ऋण समझौते पर किए हस्ताक्षर

• एशियाई विकास बैंक (Asian Development Bank) ने उत्तर प्रदेश में ग्रामीण बिजली वितरण नेटवर्क को अत्याधुनिक बनाने के लिए भारत सरकार के साथ 300 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह अपग्रेडेशन राज्य के उपभोक्ताओं को बेहतर बिजली आपूर्ति प्रदान करने में मदद करेगा। उत्तर प्रदेश विद्युत वितरण नेटवर्क सुधर परियोजना को दी गई ऋण की यह पहली किश्त है।
• कुल दो किस्तों वाली इस परियोजना के लिए 430 मिलियन डॉलर की मल्टी-ट्रेन्च फाइनेंसिंग फैसिलिटी (MFF) को मंजूरी दी गई है।
• यह परियोजना एक मजबूत वितरण नेटवर्क बनाने के लिए बेयर कंडक्टरों से एरियल बंडल कंडक्टरों (एबीसी) तक ग्रामीण लॉ-वोल्टेज वितरण लाइनों के 65,000 किलोमीटर (किमी) एरिया को कवर करेगी, जिससे 46,000 गांवों के लगभग 70 मिलियन लोगों को लाभ होगा।

भारत और एडीबी ने त्रिपुरा में आधारभूत परियोजनाओं के लिए 4.21 मिलियन डॉलर के PRF समझौते पर किए हस्ताक्षर

• भारत सरकार और एशियाई विकास बैंक (ADB) ने त्रिपुरा में शहरी सुविधाओं में सुधार और पर्यटन क्षेत्र के लिए मूलभूत सुविधाएं विकसित करने के लिए परियोजनाओं की तैयारी के लिए 4.21 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर की प्रोजेक्ट रेडीनेस फाइनेंसिंग (PRF) के समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह भारत के पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र के किसी राज्य में एडीबी द्वारा समझौता की गई पहली परियोजना है।
• यह परियोजना त्रिपुरा सरकार की शहरी सेवाओं और पर्यटन बुनियादी ढांचे में सुधार की प्राथमिकताओं का समर्थन करेगी जो आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा देने में मदद करेगी।
• इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य व्यवहार्यता के जरिए विस्तृत अध्ययन करने, विस्तृत इंजीनियरिंग डिजाइन तैयार करने, राज्य स्तर की एजेंसियों की क्षमता विकसित करने, जिससे कि पर्यावरण को नुकसान नहीं पहुंचे और आपदा झेलने में सक्षम हो।

• विद्युत मोहन संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण कार्यक्रम के विजेताओं के "पृथ्वी के युवा चैंपियंस" (“Young Champions of the Earth”) में से एक। एक 29 वर्षीय भारतीय उद्यमी, संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण एजेंसी द्वारा वैश्विक परिवर्तन-निर्माताओं को अभिनव विचारों और महत्वाकांक्षी कार्रवाई का उपयोग करके विश्व के कुछ लोगों को सुलझाने में मदद करने के लिए 2020 के प्रतिष्ठित "यंग चैंपियंस ऑफ द अर्थ" के सात विजेताओं में से एक है। पुरस्कार 30 वर्ष से कम आयु के 7 उद्यमियों को दिया जाता है।

भारत मानव स्वतंत्रता सूचकांक 2020 में 111 वें स्थान पर

• नागरिक, आर्थिक और व्यक्तिगत स्वतंत्रता की विश्वव्यापी रैंकिंग, मानव स्वतंत्रता सूचकांक 2020 जारी की गई। भारत को 162 देशों में से 111 वें स्थान पर रखा गया। 2019 में, भारत सूचकांक में 94 वें स्थान पर था।
• पहले तीन स्पॉट न्यूजीलैंड, स्विट्जरलैंड और हांगकांग द्वारा हासिल किए गए हैं। संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और यूनाइटेड किंगडम सूचकांक पर 17 वें स्थान पर स्थिर हैं। युद्धग्रस्त सीरिया सूची में अंतिम स्थान पर रहा।
• भारत की व्यक्तिगत स्वतंत्रता में 10 में से 6.30 और आर्थिक स्वतंत्रता में 6.56 है। देश का समग्र मानव स्वतंत्रता स्कोर 6.43 था।

Boris Johnson invites PM Modi to UK-Led G-7 Summit

• United Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the UK-hosted G-7 summit 2021. UK Prime Minister Johnson has also accepted the very generous invitation to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations in January.
• PM Johnson will attend India’s annual Republic Day parade in New Delhi.

 35th Edition Of India-Indonesia CORPATs

• The 35th edition of India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT) between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy is being conducted from 17 to 18 December 2020. The 35th IND – INDO CORPAT will contribute towards the Indian Navy’s efforts to consolidate inter-operability and forge strong bonds of friendship across the Indo Pacific.
• Indian Naval Ship (INS) Kulish, an indigenously built missile corvette along with P8I Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) will undertake coordinated patrol with Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Cut Nyak Dien, a Kapitan Pattimura (Parchim I) class corvette and an MPA of the Indonesian Navy.
• To reinforce maritime links, the two navies have been carrying out CORPAT along their International Maritime Boundary Line since 2002, with the aim of ensuring safety and security of shipping and international trade in the region. CORPATs build up understanding and interoperability between navies and facilitate the institution of measures to prevent and suppress Illegal Unreported Unregulated (IUU) fishing, drug trafficking, maritime terrorism, armed robbery and piracy.

Nehru Zoological Park Hyderabad gets ISO certifications

• Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, with its standard working procedures, has acquired ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards Certification from ASCB, UK. The Hyderabad Zoo has become the first zoo in the country to receive ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards Certificate. This was presented to Telangana Forests Minister A. Indra Karan Reddy.
• HYM International Certifications, Accredited by ASCB(UK) recently conducted an assessment of the Zoo for ISO 9001:2015 Certifications and expressed satisfaction and happiness in the standards being followed in Nehru Zoological Park in the area of sanitation, food processing, animal breeding, Zoo Hospital, animal care, hygiene maintenance and establishment.

 Uttar Pradesh govt to launch ‘Kisan Kalyan Mission’

• Uttar Pradesh government will launch a special program to double the income of farmers. The program named as “Kisan Kalyan Mission” will cover all assembly constituencies of the state. Under the Kisan Kalyan mission, various programs will be organised across the state.
• Exhibitions of agriculture and Associate sectors will be organised which will include the products of MSME sector units and livelihood missions.
• Farmer meetings will also be organised in which progressive farmers, scientist and workers associated with Agriculture Department will explain the scientific farming and provide information about the schemes of the government.
• Farmers will be given benefit under the various schemes of the agriculture department during these events.
• Under the Kisan Kalyan mission, many departments of state government like agriculture marketing Mandi Parishad, Horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, sugarcane food and supply and Panchayati Raj will work together.

 Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik launched ‘Pareshram’ Portal

• Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik through a video conference, launched ‘Pareshram’ Portal along with 22 online services of Labour and Employees State Insurance Department. The Portal and the Online Services shall be helpful in “Ease of Doing Business” and contribute significantly to the industrial development of the State.
• The Portal will provide 52 types of services in the coming days. This technology is the foundation of 5-T initiative and this will help in transformation, hoped that information regarding different Labour Laws will be available and industries, commercial organisations, small entrepreneurs and public will be benefited through this Portal.

Robert Lewandowski and Lucy Bronze win best of 2020 FIFA awards

• The Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski has been named The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2020, beating off competition from last year’s winner Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The 32-year-old Lewandowski, top scorer in Europe and winner of the Champions League with Bayern.
• Manchester City full-back, Lucy Bronze won the women’s best player award, becoming the first female English player to take the prize. It is the first occasion for both Lewandowski and Bronze to win the award, with the Pole only the second player after Luka Modric in 2018 to break a 13-year Messi-Ronaldo hegemony.

NHAI chairman Sukhbir Singh Sandhu gets six months extension

• Sukhbir Singh Sandhu has been given six months extension as the chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension in central deputation tenure of Sandhu, chairman, NHAI, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, for a period of six months beyond January 21, 2021, i.e. up to July 21, 2021. Sandhu is a 1988-batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre.

ADB and India sign $300 million loan to upgrade power projects in UP

• The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed $300 million loan agreement with the Government of India to upgrade rural power distribution networks in Uttar Pradesh. This upgradation helps to provide reliable electricity supply to consumers in the state. This is the first tranche of the loan for the Uttar Pradesh Power Distribution Network Rehabilitation Project.
• Overall, the $430 million multi-tranche financing facility (MFF) has been approved for the project constituting two tranches.
• The project envisages conversion of 65,000 kilometres (km) of rural low-voltage distribution lines from bare conductors to aerial bundled conductors (ABC) to create a robust distribution network that will benefit an estimated 70 million people in 46,000 villages.

 GoI and ADB sign 4.21 million dollar PRF facility for Tripura

• The Government of India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a US $4.21 million project readiness financing (PRF) facility for the preparation of infrastructure development projects to improve urban amenities and develop tourism infrastructure in Tripura. This is ADB’s first PRF facility for a state in the northeastern region of India.
• The facility will support the Tripura Government’s priorities of improving urban services and tourism infrastructure that will help boost economic development.
• The facility aims to ensure high readiness of ensuing infrastructure projects through feasibility studies, preparing detailed engineering designs, and capacity building of state-level agencies while ensuring climate and disaster resilience and sustainability of sub-projects.

India’s Vidyut Mohan named among ‘Young Champions of the Earth’ by UNEP

• Vidyut Mohan was one of the “Young Champions of the Earth” winners by United Nations Environment Programme. A 29-year-old Indian entrepreneur is among the seven winners of the prestigious “Young Champions of the Earth” 2020 prize given by the UN environment agency to global change-makers using innovative ideas and ambitious action to help solve some of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. The prize is annually awarded to 7 entrepreneurs under age 30.
• Vidyut Mohan, an engineer, is the co-founder of “Takachar”, a social enterprise enabling farmers to prevent open burning of their waste farm residues and earn extra income by converting them into value-added chemicals like activated carbon on-site.

India ranks 111 in Human Freedom Index 2020

• A worldwide ranking of civil, economic and personal freedom, the Human Freedom Index 2020 was released. India was placed at the 111th spot out of 162 countries. In 2019, India ranked 94 on the index.
• The first three spots have been bagged by New Zealand, Switzerland and Hong Kong. The United States and the United Kingdom are tied at the 17th spot on the index. War-torn Syria ranked the last on the list.
• India’s scored 6.30 out of 10 in personal freedom and 6.56 in economic freedom. The country’s overall human freedom score was 6.43.
• However, India has been ranked ahead of China and Bangladesh, which ranked 129 and 139 on the 2020 index respectively.
• Human Freedom Index was published by American think tank Cato Institute and Fraser Institute in Canada. The index takes into account 76 indicators of personal, civil, and economic freedoms to rank 162 countries from 2008 to 2018. The institutes noted that the world has seen a notable decline in personal freedom since 2008.
