अटल इनोवेशन मिशन, नीति आयोग और NIC द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से लॉन्च किए गए

अटल इनोवेशन मिशन, नीति आयोग और नेशनल इन्फार्मेटिक्स सेंटर (NIC) ने संयुक्त रूप से ‘CollabCAD’ नामक एक सहयोगी सॉफ्टवेयर प्रणाली शुरू की। इस प्रणाली ने दो आयामी प्रारूपण से तीन आयामी उत्पाद डिजाइन के लिए एक व्यापक इंजीनियरिंग समाधान प्रदान किया है। इस सॉफ्टवेयर का उद्देश्य अटल टिंकरिंग लैब्स (एटीएल) के छात्रों को 3 डी डिजाइन, मॉडल और प्रिंटिंग बनाने में सक्षम बनाना है। 

बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

2020 में सिकुड़ती ग्लोबल इकोनॉमी, 1.9% की दर से बढ़ेगा भारत

• 14 अप्रैल को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (आईएमएफ) ने उल्लेख किया है कि 2020 में विश्व अर्थव्यवस्था के 3.0% तक सिकुड़ने की उम्मीद है। 
• अपने 2020 विश्व आर्थिक आउटलुक में, आईएमएफ ने 2021 में आंशिक रूप से पलटाव की भविष्यवाणी की, जिसमें विश्व अर्थव्यवस्था 5.8% की दर से बढ़ रही है। लेकिन यह उल्लेख किया कि भविष्यवाणियों को अनिश्चितता के साथ चिह्नित किया गया है।
• आईएमएफ ने देशों के आर्थिक विकास का अनुमान लगाते हुए 2020-2021 में भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था को 1.9% बढ़ने का अनुमान लगाया है। भारत के लिए इसका अनुमान अन्य अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एजेंसियों द्वारा किए गए पूर्वानुमानों के अनुरूप है। 

Barclays ने 2020 के लिए भारत की जीडीपी वृद्धि 0% होने की भविष्यवाणी की

• Barclays ने कैलेंडर वर्ष 2020 में भारत के लिए जीडीपी की वृद्धि का अनुमान 0% पर लगाया है। इसका मतलब है कोई आर्थिक विकास नहीं।
• FY21 के लिए, Barclays ने भारत के लिए सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में 0।8% की वृद्धि की भविष्यवाणी की है।

आधुनिक इराकी वास्तुकला के जनक रिफत चदिरजी का निधन

1926 में बगदाद में जन्मे, चदिरजी ने लंदन में अध्ययन किया और 1950 के दशक में इराक में लौटकर भव्य, “द अननोन सोल्जर” और साथ ही राजधानी के डाकघर और अन्य सार्वजनिक भवनों के के सुंदर आर्क डिज़ाइन किए।

चदिरजी लंबे समय से संरक्षण के पैरोकार थे, बगदाद में पारंपरिक इराकी वास्तुकला के विध्वंस को रोकने के लिए सद्दाम के अधीन काम कर रहे थे।

हॉकी इंडिया ने सभी राष्ट्रीय चैंपियनशिप अनिश्चितकाल के लिए स्थगित की

हॉकी इंडिया के अध्यक्ष मोहम्मद मुश्ताक अहमद ने कहा, ''हॉकी इंडिया ने खिलाड़ियों, प्रशिक्षकों, आयोजकों, प्रशंसकों और अधिकारियों सहित सभी हितधारकों के हितों को ध्यान में रखते हुए वार्षिक राष्ट्रीय चैंपियनशिपों को स्थगित करने का फैसला किया है।''

बिरुपाक्ष मिश्रा यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के नए कार्यकारी निदेशक बने

• बिरुपाक्ष मिश्रा यूनियन बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया के नए कार्यकारी निदेशक बने, इस समय बिरुपाक्ष मिश्रा कॉर्पोरेशन बैंक में कार्यकारी निदेशक थे।
• उन्होंने अपने बैंकिंग करियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1984 में एक प्रोबेशनरी ऑफिसर के रूप में की थी। उन्होंने देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में काम किया है और बैंक के क्रेडिट और क्रेडिट मॉनिटरिंग पोर्टफोलियो को संभाला है और बैंक के आईटी वर्टिकल का नेतृत्व किया है।

World Chagas Disease Day यानि विश्व चगास रोग दिवस: 14 अप्रैल

World Chagas Disease Day यानि विश्व चगास रोग दिवस 14 अप्रैल अर्थात आज विश्व भर में मनाया जाएगा। विश्व में पहली बार 14 अप्रैल 2020 को पहला विश्व चगास रोग दिवस मनाया जाना है। इस दिन को मनाए जाने का मुख्य उद्देश्य चोगा रोग (कीड़ो द्वारा होने वाले रोगों) और "silent and silenced disease" के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाना है। 

इस बीमारी का नाम डॉ कार्लोस जस्टिनियानो रिबेरो चगास के नाम पर रखा गया है। उन्होंने 14 अप्रैल 1909 को ब्राजील में इस बीमारी के पहले रोगी का उपचार किया था। चगास एक संक्रामक रोग जो ट्रियाटोमाइन कीट के मल में पाए जाने वाले परजीवी की वजह से होता है। चागस रोग उन स्थानों पर सामान्य है जहां ट्रिएटोमाइन कीड़ा ट्राइपानोसोमा क्रूज़ी परजीवी फैलाता है। यह एक हल्का रोग है जिसमें सूजन और बुखार हो सकता है, जो लंबे समय तक भी चल सकता है।

Lockdown extended till May 3, PM Modi hints at graded easing after April 20

• PM Narendra Modi on April 14, 2020 announced the extension of nationwide lockdown till May 3, 2020. Earlier, the lockdown was scheduled to end on April 14 itself.
• While addressing the nation, the Prime Minister announced a few relaxations for daily wage workers who are the worst affected due to this much needed lockdown.

Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog & National Informatics Centre (NIC) jointly launches CollabCAD

• The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog and National Informatics Centre (NIC) have come together to jointly launch an innovative platform called CollabCAD for ATL schools to enable students create 3D Computer Aided Designs. It will enable students to utilize indigenous, state-of-the-art made-in-India software for 3D modeling/slicing to use 3D printing.
• CollabCAD is a collaborative network, computer enabled software system to provide a total engineering solution ranging from 2D drafting and detailing to 3D product design.
• The initiative will provide a great platform for students of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) across the country to create and modify 3d designs with free flow of creativity and imagination.

Global Economy to shrink in 2020, India to grow at 1.9%

• In its 2020 World Economic Outlook, IMF predicted the partial rebound in 2021 with the world economy growing at a rate of 5.8%. But it mentioned that the predictions are marked with uncertainty.
• While projecting the economic growth of countries, the IMF has forecasted the Indian economy to grow by 1.9% in 2020-2021. Its estimate for India is in the line with forecasts made by other International agencies.

Barclays predicts India’s GDP growth for CY2020 at 0%; For FY21 at 0.8% 

• Barclays has predicted the GDP growth for India in Calendar Year 2020 at 0%. It means no economic growth.
• For FY21, Barclays has predicted GDP growth for India at 0.8%. 

Obituary

Father of modern Iraqi architecture dies

• Father of modern Iraqi architecture Rifat Chadirji passed away. He was credited to design some of Iraq’s most valuable structures and iconic “Freedom Monument” in the now protest hub of Baghdad’s Tahrir Square.
• He was studied in London and returned to Iraq in the 1950s to design his magnum opus, elegant arch entitled “The Unknown Soldier” as well as the capital’s post office and other public buildings.

Hockey India postpones all rescheduled national championships indefinitely 

• Hockey India has postponed all its re-scheduled national championships for an indefinite period.
• The rescheduled tournaments were scheduled to begin on April 29, 2020 and continue till July 3, 2020.

Birupaksha Mishra becomes new Executive Director of Union Bank of India

• Birupaksha Mishra becomes new Executive Director of Union Bank of India, after its amalgamation with Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank. Prior to this, Birupaksha Mishra was Executive Director at Corporation Bank.
• He started his banking career as a Probationary Officer in the year 1984. He has worked in various parts of the country and has handled Credit and Credit Monitoring Portfolio of the Bank and headed IT vertical of the Bank.

First Edition of World Chagas Disease Day Observed on 14 April 2020

• The first-ever World Chagas Disease Day is being held on 14 April 2020 and henceforth, it will be held annually.
• The aim of the day is to raise the visibility and public awareness of people with Chagas Disease (also called American trypanosomiasis) and the resources needed for the prevention, control or elimination of the disease.
• The WHO approved the designation of Chagas Disease Day on May 24, 2019 at the 72nd World Health Assembly.
