मास्क और सैनेटाइजर की मनमानी कीमत वसूलने पर सरकार ने उठाया सख्त कदम 

राज्यों और केंद्र शासितप्रदेशों की सरकारों को निर्देश दिए गए हैं कि उत्पादन और उपलब्धता को लेकर खास ध्यान रखें कि जमाखोरी और कालाबाज़ारी न हो पाए. आवश्यक वस्तु अधिनियम के तहत अब मास्क और हैंड सैनेटाइजर भी आएंगे. 

मंत्रिमंडल ने 1 जनवरी, 2020 से बकाया महंगाई भत्ता और महंगाई राहत के एक अतिरिक्त किस्त को जारी करने की मंजूरी दी 

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने केन्द्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों के लिए महंगाई भत्ता और पेंशनभोगियों के लिए महंगाई राहत की एक अतिरिक्त किस्त को जारी करने की मंजूरी दे दी है, जो 1 जनवरी, 2020 से प्रभावी होगी। मूल्य वृद्धि की क्षतिपूर्ति के लिए मूल वेतन/पेंशन की वर्तमान दर 17 प्रतिशत में 4 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि होगी।

महंगाई भत्ता और महंगाई राहत के कारण सरकार पर प्रतिवर्ष 12,510.04 करोड़ रुपये का वित्तीय बोझ पड़ेगा और वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 में कुल 14,595.04 करोड़ रुपये इस मद में खर्च होंगे। (जनवरी, 2020 से फरवरी, 2021 तक के 14 महीनों की अवधि के लिए) इससे 48.34 लाख केन्द्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों तथा 65.26 लाख पेंशनभोगियों को लाभ मिलेगा।

यह वृद्धि स्वीकृत नियमों के अनुरूप है, जो 7वें केन्द्रीय वेतन आयोग की अनुशंसाओं पर आधारित है। 

मंत्रिमंडल ने हिमाचल प्रदेश, राजस्‍थान, उत्‍तर प्रदेश और आंध्र प्रदेश राज्‍यों में कुल 780 किलोमीटर लंबे विभिन्‍न राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्गों के पुनर्वास और उन्‍नयन की मंजूरी दी 

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी की अध्‍यक्षता में मंत्रिमंडल की आर्थिक मामलों की समिति ने 2 लेन/2 लेन पक्‍के ढ़लानों के साथ/4-लेन विन्‍यास (2-लेन/एकल//मध्‍यवर्ती लेन) के पुनर्वास और उन्‍नयन तथा हिमाचल प्रदेश, राजस्थान, उत्तर प्रदेश और आंध्र प्रदेश राज्यों में 780 किलोमीटर लंबे विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों कें खंडों को मजबूत बनाने की मंजूरी दी। 

इस परियोजना में 7662.47 करोड़ रूपये का निवेश शामिल हैं जिसमें 3500 करोड़ रूपये (500 मिलियन अमरीकी डॉलर) का ऋण घटक शामिल है। विश्‍व बैंक की ऋण सहायता हरित राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्ग कॉरिडोर परियोजना (जीएनएचसीपी) के तहत होगी। इस परियोजना में निर्माण की समाप्ति के बाद इन राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्ग खंडों का 5 वर्ष तक (डामर पटरियों के मामले में)/10 साल तक (कंकरीट पटरियों के मामले में) रखरखाव भी शामिल है।

इस परियोजना में निम्‍निलिखित 4 घटक शामिल हैं:- 

• राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्गों का सतत विकास और रखरखाव 

• संस्‍थागत क्षमता में बढ़ोतरी 

• सड़क सुरक्षा और 

• अनुसंधान एवं विकास

स्विस ब्रोकरेज फर्म यूबीएस ने FY20 और FY21 के लिए भारत के लिए जीडीपी दर की भविष्यवाणी कम की- 

• स्विस ब्रोकरेज फर्म यूबीएस ने FY20 और FY21 के लिए भारत के लिए जीडीपी दर की भविष्यवाणी कम कर दी है। 

• वित्त वर्ष 2020 के लिए, यूबीएस भारत की जीडीपी विकास दर 4.8% और वित्त वर्ष 2021 के लिए भारत की जीडीपी विकास दर 5.1% है। 

जनगणना 2021 को दो चरणों में आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया गया है। 

• जनगणना 2021 दो चरणों में आयोजित किया जाएगा, अर्थात् घरो की सूची और हाउस की जनगणना और जनसंख्या गणना। 

• पहला चरण 1 अप्रैल 2020 से शुरू होगा। जनगणना 30 सितंबर 2020 तक जारी रहेगी। 

• दूसरा चरण जनसंख्या गणना है, जो 9 फरवरी से 28 फरवरी 2021 तक पूरे देश में एक साथ आयोजित किया जाएगा। 

• भारतीय जनगणना देश के लोगों की विभिन्न विशेषताओं पर सांख्यिकीय डेटा की एक सीमा का सबसे बड़ा स्रोत है। विश्वसनीय और समय-परीक्षण अभ्यास के परिणामस्वरूप डेटा का व्यापक संग्रह हुआ है जो प्रत्‍येक 10 वर्ष में भारत के लोगों से संबंधित है। ।

Yes Bank के प्लान को कैबिनेट ने दी मंजूरी, SBI लगाएगा 7250 करोड़ रुपये 

भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (SBI) को संकट-ग्रसित यस बैंक में 7,250 करोड़ रुपये लगाने की मंजूरी मिल गयी है. देश के सबसे बड़े बैंक एसबीआई ने कल इसकी जानकारी दी थी. एसबीआई ने बीएसई को बताया, केंद्रीय बोर्ड की कार्यकारी समिति की 11 मार्च को हुई बैठक में 10 रुपये प्रति शेयर की दर से यस बैंक के 725 करोड़ शेयर खरीदने को मंजूरी दी गयी. अभी इस सौदे को नियामकीय मंजूरियां मिलनी शेष हैं. इस सौदे के बाद यस बैंक में एसबीआई की हिस्सेदारी उसकी कुल भुगता पूंजी के 49 प्रतिशत से ऊपर नहीं जाएगी. रिजर्व बैंक ने यस बैंक की Restructuring को लेकर पिछले सप्ताह एक योजना के मसौदे की घोषणा की थी.

माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के को-फाउंडर बिल गेट्स ने बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स से दिया इस्तीफा

 माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के सह-संस्थापक बिल गेट्स ने कंपनी के बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। कंपनी की ओर से शुक्रवार को जारी बयान में इसकी पुष्टि की गई है। बयान में कहा गया है कि बिल गेट्स लोगों की भलाई के लिए काम करने चाहते हैं इसके लिए उन्हें ज्यादा समय की जरूरत है। इसीलिए उन्होंने बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स की जिम्मेदारी से मुक्ति ली है।

गेट्स ने 1975 में बनाई थी माइक्रोसॉफ्ट 

64 वर्षीय बिल गेट्स ने 1975 में पॉल एलेन के साथ मिलकर माइक्रोसॉफ्ट का गठन किया था। वह साल 2000 तक इसके सीईओ थे। गेट्स 2014 की शुरुआत तक माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स के चेयरमैन थे। इस समय माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के सीईओ सत्या नडेला हैं। माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ने कहा है कि अभी बिल गेट्स नडेला के साथ तकनीकी सलाहकार के रूप में कार्य करते रहेंगे। गेट्स के इस्तीफे के बाद कंपनी के बोर्ड में 12 सदस्य बचे हैं जिनमें सत्या नडेला भी शामिल हैं। नडेला ने बिल गेट्स के साथ काम करने को गौरव की बात कही है।

भारत का पहला जीवित पाक कला संग्रहालय लिम्का बुक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड्स में शामिल 

वेलकमग्रुप ग्रेजुएट स्कूल ऑफ होटल एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (WGSHA) मणिपाल एकेडमी ऑफ हायर एजुकेशन (MAHE) ने WGSHA, मणिपाल, कर्नाटक में "भारत का पहला जीवित पाक कला संग्रहालय" स्थापित करने के लिए लिम्का बुक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड्स (LBR) में प्रवेश किया. संग्रहालय अप्रैल 2018 में खोला गया था, जो लगभग 25,000 वर्ग फुट में फैला हुआ है। 

इस संग्रहालय के संस्थापक और क्यूरेटर शेफ विकास खन्ना जिन्होंने पाक संग्रहालय की स्थापना करने का यह विचार रखा था और पाक कला की भारत की समृद्ध परंपरा के इतिहास को संरक्षित करने और भावी पीढ़ियों शिक्षित करने के लिए इस संग्रहालय में लाखों डॉलर के उपकरण दान किए थे. 

संग्रहालय में ऐतिहासिक और साथ ही घरेलू सामान हैं जैसे कि भारत में पुर्तगालियों द्वारा बनाई गई प्लेटें, एक पुराना बीज बोने वाल उपकरण, एक प्राचीन कश्मीरी चाय बनाने वाला उपकरण जिसे 'समोवर' के रूप में जाना जाता है, मंदिरों में भोजन करने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला 100 साल पुराना लाडल और हड़प्पा युग के कटोरे. कोंकण, उडुपी और चेट्टीनाड क्षेत्रों के बर्तन, रोलिंग पिन के एक बड़े संग्रह के अलावा, सभी आकृतियों और आकारों के बर्तन, विभिन्न प्रकार के चाय के बर्तन आदि संग्रहालय में पाए जाते हैं

14 मार्च को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पाई (π) दिवस मनाया जाता है।दिन को 3, 1, और 4 के रूप में चुना गया था, जो π के पहले तीन महत्वपूर्ण अंक हैं। 

पाई: 

पाई सबसे प्रसिद्ध गणितीय स्थिरांक में से एक है। यह अपने व्यास के एक वृत्त की परिधि का अनुपात है।यह निचले मामले वाले ग्रीक अक्षर π द्वारा दर्शाया गया है। किसी भी सर्कल के लिए, किनारे के चारों ओर की दूरी पार की तुलना में तीन गुना से थोड़ा अधिक है। तर्कहीन संख्या अक्सर दशमलव 3.14 या अंश 22/7 के साथ अनुमानित की जाती है। 

इतिहास:

पाई को लगभग 4000 वर्षों से जाना जाता है। गणितज्ञों ने 1700 के दशक में ग्रीक अक्षर π का उपयोग करना शुरू कर दिया था। यह 1706 में विलियम जोन्स द्वारा पेश किया गया था। प्रतीक का उपयोग लियोनहार्ड यूलर द्वारा लोकप्रिय किया गया था, जिन्होंने इसे 1737 में अपनाया था। 18 वीं शताब्दी के फ्रांसीसी गणितज्ञ, जॉर्जेस बफन ने संभावना के आधार पर π की गणना करने का एक तरीका तैयार किया।

GoI brought masks, hand sanitizers under Essential Commodities Act 

• Government of India brings masks and hand sanitizers under the Essential Commodities Act. 

• Under the act, 2 ply & 3 ply surgical masks, N95 masks, and hand sanitizer has been declared as Essential Commodities up to 30 June 2020 by amending the Schedule of the Essential Commodities (EC) Act, 1955. 

Cabinet approves to release additional instalment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief 

• The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 01 January 2020. 

• The Modi Government has approved 4 percent increase in DA/DR over the existing rate of 17 percent of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise. 

• The new rate will become 21 percent of Basic Pay/Pension.The increase is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Cabinet approved construction of 780 Km of green highways in four states 

• Union Cabinet approved a proposal for the construction of 780 kilometer of green highways on 13 March 2020.It was announced by the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar. 

• The project aims to rehabilitate and upgrade various National Highways in four states, namely Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. 

• A total sum of Rs.7,660 crore has been allotted for the purpose.

UBS predicts India’s GDP for FY20 at 4.8% and FY21 at 5.1% 

• Swiss brokerage firm UBS has reduced the GDP rate prediction for India for FY20 and FY21. 

• For FY20, UBS predicts India’s GDP growth at 4.8% and for FY21, the GDP growth rate for India is predicted at 5.1%. 

• The reason for cut in GDP rates are- weak credit impulse domestically 

The Census India 2021 has been decided to be conducted in two phases. 

• The Census India 2021 will be conducted in two phases, namely house listing and House Census and Population Enumeration. 

• The first phase will begin from 1 April 2020. Census will continue until 30 September 2020. 

• The second phase is Population Enumeration, which will be conducted from 9 February to 28 February 2021 throughout the country simultaneously. 

• Indian census is the largest single source of a range of statistical data on different characteristics of the people of the country.The reliable and time-tested exercise has resulted in the comprehensive collection of data that is related to the people of India every 10 years.

SBI Gets approval to invest Rs 7,250 crore in Crisis Hit Yes Bank 

• India’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has received the approval to buy Rs 7,250 crore worth of shares in crisis-hit Yes Bank. 

• SBI’s executive committee of central board (ECCB) held a meeting on March 11 and approved to purchase 725 crore shares in Yes Bank at a price of Rs 10 per share subject to all regulatory approvals 

• Also, the bank’s shareholding in Yes Bank will remain within 49 percent of the paid up capital of the private sector lender.

 Bill Gates resigns from Microsoft’s board 

• Microsoft founder Bill Gates stepping down from Microsoft’s board of directors. 

• He wants to dedicate more time to his philanthropic priorities including global health, development, education, and his increasing engagement in tackling climate change. 

• He also stepped down from the board of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc, where he had served since 2004.

India’s 1st Living Culinary Arts Museum enters Limca Book of Records 

• Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) entered the Limca Book of Records (LBR) for establishing “India’s First Living Culinary Arts Museum” at WGSHA, Manipal, Karnataka. 

• The museum was opened in the year April 2018, spread approximately over 25,000 square feet & the structure of the museum is shaped in the form of a giant pot.

Island of Niue declared world’s first ‘Dark Sky nation’ 

• The island of Niue has become the world’s first whole country recognised as a ‘Dark Sky Place. 

• The International Dark-Sky Association’s (IDA) has approved the island’s application for the protection of its sky, land and sea.

• The day was chosen as 3, 1, and 4, which are the first three significant digits of π. 

• Pi is one of the most well-known mathematical constants. It is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. It is represented by the lower-case Greek letter π.

International Day of Mathematics 

• Every year, March 14 is celebrated as the International Day of Mathematics (IDM). 

• The theme for 2020 IDM is “Mathematics is Everywhere“. 

• The day was initiated by the International Mathematical Union (IMU) to celebrate the beauty and importance of mathematics and its essential role in everyone’s life.
