The Birla Institute of Technology & Science every year directs exam for the admission of the students in BITS Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campus for the B.E, M.Sc, and B.Pharma degree courses. BITSAT exam is directed on the basis of NCERT syllabus for Class 11 and 12. The syllabus is somewhat unique for engineering and pharmacy programs. In this article, you will get to know about the BITSAT Syllabus 2020.

  • The candidate has to attempt 150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours (180 minutes). For each right answer, the applicant will get 3 marks each and for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted
  • There are 5 subjects i.e. Physics(40 questions) and Chemistry(40 questions), Mathematics/Biology section(45 questions), English language section(15 questions) , and Logical Reasoning section(10 questions)

 BITSAT PHYSICS SYLLABUS

 The Physics subject Syllabus is the same for each candidate whether it is of Engineering or Pharmacy degree courses. The physics segment is the hardest segment as guaranteed by applicants showing up for the test.

  • The physics section consists of 40 multiple choice questions mark allotted for each correct answer is 3 marks, and for each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted. The total marks allotted for this section is 120 marks.
  • In the physics section, the question will come from the NCERT of XI and XII Class.

Candidates consider it as a scoring section and it will also increase their score in the examination.

  • The chemistry section, consists of 40 multiple choice questions mark allotted for each correct answer is 3 marks, and each wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. The total marks allotted for this section is 120 marks.

BITSAT MATHS SYLLABUS

 The Maths section consists of 45 multiple choice questions mark allotted for each correct answer is 3 marks, and each wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. The total marks allotted for this section is 135 marks.This maths section is only for, who are applying for engineering degree courses.

  • This section is considered the most time-consuming section and the trickiest one also. This section includes the maximum number of questions that come in the examination
  • In the maths section, the question will come from the NCERT of XI and XII Class
  • The topics which have maximum weightage in this section are the Application of Derivatives, Sequence and Series and Circle
  • You should prepare well for the Matrix and Determinants and Permutation and Combination topic to score easily in the maths section
  • Inverse Trigonometry, Statistics, and Quadratic Equation are easy topics they just need a simple revision to score well in it
