Revisions to the Delimitation Act, 2002-affirmed by Cabinet.

 The Union bureau headed by P.M. Narendra Modi on February 17 gave its consent to the Amendments of Delimitation Act,2002. This is in continuation of Constitution (100th Amendment)Act, 2015 and it further permits the presentation of Election laws revision bill in 2016.

History of the Bill:

In a truly critical settlement marked in the middle of Bangladesh and India on 31st July 2015, it was consented to trade 51 Bangladesh enclaves and 111 Indian enclaves.
Thus the demography of Cooch behar region in Bengal was changed.
Thus the Election commission of India asked for to correct the segment 11 of Delimitation Act(2002) and area 9 of the People Representation Act,1950.

Components of the bill:

This bill empowers the Election Commission of India to do delimitation of both parliamentary and get together voting public.
This will be authorized before the get together decisions held for 294 voting public in this year.
It will empower 14000 voters who were in the Indian enclave to survey their votes furthermore gives voting rights to the 921 natives who originated from Bangladesh.

Delimitation alludes as far as possible or limits of regional voting demographic of a nation giving an enactment body to that range.
Delimitation commissions have been constituted in India for four times in the years 1952, 1963, 1973 and 2002.
