тЧП    A web based Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) has been launched in the monitoring of the Controller General of Accounts, in order to improve budgeting, accounting, expenditure and cash management.
тЧП    All information related to purchase on the Central Public Purchase Portal will be available in one place.


Customs increased on mobile phones and TV components
 
тЧП    There is a wide scope for domestic value addition in certain areas such as food processing, electronics, auto components, footwear and furniture.
тЧП    Keeping this in view, the Finance Minister has proposed to reduce the customs duty on raw cashews from 5% to 2.5% with the aim of helping the cashew processing industry.
тЧП    In order to encourage domestic value addition and 'Make in India' more encouraging, the Finance Minister has increased the customs duty on mobile phones from 15 percent to 20 percent, raising the customs duty on some of its components and accessories to 15 percent, Customs duty has been proposed to increase to 15 per cent on certain parts.

Rs 20,339 Crore Approved for Interest Subvention in 2017-18

тЧП    Rs.20,339 crore has been approved by the Government in 2017-18 to meet various obligations arising from interest subvention being provided to the farmers on short term crop loans.

Bihar Government Sanctions Rs. 100 Crore A Year For Minorities

тЧП    The Bihar government allocated Rs. 100 crore per annum for a scheme aimed at employment generation among people from minority communities.
тЧП    The state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave its nod for an amendment in the guidelines for "Mukhayamantri Alpasankhyak Rozgar Rin Yojana".
