One of Asia's largest churches inaugurated in Nagaland
Dubbed as Asia’s largest Baptist Church and Asia’s second largest Church, the new Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto (SBCZ) was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Solomon Rongpi, general secretary of the CBCNEI Saturday at an impressive function held inside the Church building.
● Standing at the height of 1864.9 m above the sea level, this colossal structure has a height of 166’ft, length of 203’ft and breadth of 153’ft with a total plinth area of 23,73,476 sq.ft with seating capacity of 8500 seats and 27 rooms.
● Delivering the message on the theme “Enter His gate with thanksgiving,” Rev. Dr. Solomon Rongpi told the fully packed audience that one should always give thanks to God for all the blessings He showers upon His people.
● He said that despite facing hardships, adversaries and trails in one’s life, the people of God should not fail in shouting praises to God.
● Rev.Rongpi asked the gathering that during this time of dedication, believers in Zunheboto to remember God’s love and compassion and to start counting the blessings of God one by one.
● He said that the people of Zunheboto has been blessed with a magnificent Church which is the second largest Church in Asia, the largest being Yoido Full Church at Seoul, South Korea, which is a Pentecostal Church.
● Earlier, giving a brief account on the construction of the Church, Kiyelho H.Yeptho, chairman, NCBC informed that the works on the new Church building began in the year 2007 and was completed in the year 2017.
First ‘Made in India’ Industrial Robot BRABO
TAL Manufacturing Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors has unveiled India’s first ‘conceptualized, designed and manufactured articulated industrial robot’ called “BRABO”. BRABO stands for “Bravo Robot”.
● The robot has been developed indigenously for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in India.
● The robot is primarily developed to complement the human workforce and repeatedly perform high volume, dangerous and time-consuming tasks ranging from handling of raw materials to packaging of finished products.
● BRABO was designed and manufactured at the TAL’s Pune factory.
● Other than the motors and drives for the Robo-arm, all the other parts of the robot were indigenously manufactured in India.
● BRABO has four patents registered in its name and TAL has also applied for an intellectual property (IP) certification for the robot.
First eco friendly refinery to be open in Rajasthan
The Rajasthan government is all set to ink a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with HPCL on Tuesday to set up India’s first Bharat Stage-VI (BS-VI) oil refinery and petrochemical complex in Pachpadra area of Barmer district, a senior official said.
● In 2013, the previous Congress government had signed an MoU with HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) to set up a 9-million-tonne refinery-cum-petrochemical project with an investment of ₹37,000 crore.
● The Vasundhara Raje government put the project under review in July 2014, questioning the less share to the state and the interest-free loan package.
● “The viability gap funding (VGF), which was ₹3736 crore for 15 years to be given by state government, has come down to ₹1123 crore.”
● The state government’s return on investment has been increased to 12% from 2%.
● The government will invest ₹20,865 crore in 15 years as VGF and equity share (26%) in the refinery.

Aishwarya Rai wins Best Actress Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award
Veteran actress- politician Hema Malini along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and Zeenat Aman bagged the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2017 that took place.
● Mumbai witnessed Bollywood stars and music giants grace the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2017 on Friday night.
● Chitra Productions in association with Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2017 celebrated the 148th birth anniversary of the father of Indian Cinema, the respected Dadasaheb Phalke.
● This year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan won the award for the best actress female for her stellar performance in the film Sarabjit while Hema Malini won the Award in the category of Kalashree.
● Veteran Zeenat Aman walked the stage to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
● On the other hand, Sircar bagged Creative Director Award for Pink, along with Rohit Roy, who bagged the Best Negative Role in Film for Kaabil.

Vodafone to sale 9.5% additional stake to Aditya Birla Group
Vodafone has agreed to sell 9.5% additional stake to Aditya Birla Group for Rs 130 per share after they merge their telecom operations to create the country’s largest operator worth more than $23 billion.
● Aditya Birla Group has filed with the BSE the composite scheme of amalgamation between Vodafone and Idea Cellular, which stated that the merged entity shall be under the joint control of the two firms and will be governed by the shareholders’ agreement.
● In the merged entity, Vodafone will hold 50% stake, while Aditya Birla Group hold 21%. Upon completion of merger, Vodafone will transfer 4.9% shares of merged entity to Aditya Birla Group for Rs 3,874 crore.
● Post such transfer, Aditya Birla Group shareholding will increase to 26% and Vodafone shareholding will reduce to 45.1%, according to the scheme. The remaining 28.9% will be held by other shareholders.
● Also, Aditya Birla Group will have the right to acquire more shares from Vodafone at a price of Rs 130 per share, in order to equalise the shareholdings over 4 years.
● If equal shareholding is not achieved within four years, Vodafone will sell down its shareholding to equalise its shareholding with Aditya Birla Group over the following 5 years, the scheme said.

Devendra Kumar Sharma appointed as Chairman of BBMB
Devendra Kumar Sharma was on 18 April 2017 appointed as the Chairman of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) for a period of three years. His appointment was approved by the Appointment Committee Of Cabinet.
● BBMB manages the release of water in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan as it controls Bhakra, Pong and other dams.
● Presently, Sharma is serving as the Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited where he was instrumental in implementing and commissioning Tata Hydro Power Station in Bhutan.
● He has been associated with the power sector for over 30 years.
● He was also associated with the industrial giant Larsen & Toubro for a long time in its infrastructure development projects.
Sulkhan Singh appointed new DGP of Uttar Pradesh, replaces Javeed Ahmad
Sulkhan Singh, the senior most IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) by the Yogi Adityanath-led state government.
● Sulkhan Singh would replace Javeed Ahmed, the incumbent DGP of UP.
● The newly elected BJP regime has transferred more than 30 IAS and 50 IPS officers after coming to power.
● Along with Ahmed, 11 other IPS officers were shuffled on Friday.
● Sulkhan Singh, the 1980 batch IPS officer, would be heading the police department of Uttar Pradesh.
● He was currently posted in the Training Department of UP police.
● Ahmed has now been appointed as the chief of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC).
● Apart from Ahmed, senior police official Bhavesh Singh has been appointed as ADG, Intelligence, whereas, Aditya Mishra was elevated as ADG, Law & Order.

Top Maoist leader Narayan Sanyal passes away
He was the second most important leader after the party’s national secretary, Muppalla Lakshmana Rao.
● A top ranking leader of the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist [CPI-Maoist], Narayan Sanyal passed away late on Monday night in a south Kolkata hospital.
● He was in his early 80s and was suffering from cancer.
● Sanyal was the Polit Bureau member of the CPI-Maoist at the time of his arrest in 2005 and perhaps the second most important leader after the party’s national secretary, Muppalla Lakshmana Rao.
● Born in an affluent family in undivided Bengal’s Bogra district, now in Bangladesh, Sanyal was known for his keen interest in football.
● His father was the district chief of Congress and was a generous host to many of the leaders, including second Chief Minister of West Bengal Bidhan Chandra Roy and Congress leader Sarojini Naidu.
● Sanyal and his family shifted to West Bengal in the 1940s and he got a job in a bank.
● “I worked in the United Bank of India in Kolkata, which originated from Comilla Union Bank in Bangladesh,” he once told this correspondent.

नागालैंड में एशिया की सबसे बड़ी चर्च
नागालैंड में एशिया की सबसे बड़ी चर्च, सुमी बैप्टिस्ट चर्च, ज़ूनहेबोटो का उद्घाटन शनिवार को होने जा रहा है। चर्च में एक नीला डोमेन और एक सफेद टावर हैं। सुमी बैपटिस्ट चर्च की बिल्डिंग को उत्तर-पूर्वी क्षेत्र के साथ ही पूरे एशिया में सबसे बड़ा चर्च माना जाता है।
● यह 2004 में था, जो फर्म अक्कितुकुरा का आर्किटेक्ट होनहोली कश्मीर चिशि-झिमोमी, चर्च को डिजाइन करने के लिए कमीशन किया गया था।
● वास्तुकार होनोली बताया कि चर्च सेनेक्चुअरी में जाने वाले 8000 लोगों के लिए एक आरामदायक बैठने की व्यवस्था है।
● इसका निर्माण 5 मई, 2007 को शुरू हुआ था। चर्च समुद्र स्तर गहराई से 1864.9 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर है।
● चर्च बनाने के लिए पिछले नौ वर्षों में 2000 से अधिक श्रमिकों को इनर लाइन परमिट जारी किया जा चुका है।
● चर्च की घंटी -500 किग्रा, 93% पीतल, 1.5% रेडियल ध्वनि आउटरीच के साथ 7% टिन-पोलैंड से बनाई गई है। केवल घंटी लागत 15 लाख रुपये है।
● अंडे के आकार वाले चर्च में 8,500 लोगों की बैठने की व्यवस्था है। इस इमारत का आयाम 203 फुट लंबाई,153 फुट की चौड़ाई और 166 फुट ऊंचाई है।
देश की पहली इको-फ्रेंडली रिफाइनरी राजस्थान में स्थापित किए जाने की घोषणा
राजस्थान के बाड़मेर में देश की पहली इको-फ्रेंडली रिफाइनरी स्थापित किए जाने की घोषणा की गयी. इस इको-फ्रेंडली रिफाइनरी से पेट्रोल और डीजल के उत्पादन के साथ पेट्रोकैमिकल संकुल में बिजली भी उत्पादित की जा सकेगी.
● प्रदेश में स्थापित होने वाली यह अत्याधुनिक रिफाइनरी अपनी तरह की देश में पहली रिफाइनरी है. प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा इस रिफाइनरी को लेकर एचपीसीएल के साथ एमओयू किए जाने की सम्भावना है.
● बाडमेर के पचपदरा में एचपीसीएल व सरकार की भागीदारी से स्थापित होने वाली नौ एमएमटीपीएल की रिफाइनरी सह पेट्रोकेमिकल संकुल देश की पहली इकोफ्रेंडली होगी.
● बाडमेर के पचपदरा में स्थापित की जाने वाली इकोफ्रेंडली रिफाइनरी से उत्पादन में तो प्रदूषण कम होगा ही साथ ही इससे उत्पादित पेट्रोल और डीजल देश में अन्य रिफाइनरियों से कहीं कम प्रदूषण फैलाएगा.
● बाडमेर स्थित इस रिफाइनरी से क्रूड आयल से उत्पादित होने वाला पेट्रोल और डीजल बीएस-6 मानको के अनुरूप तैयार होगा.
● देश में अभी तक अन्य रिफाइरियों से उत्पादित होने वाले पेट्रोल और डीजल बीएस-3 या बीएस-4 ग्रेड के हैं.
भारत में बना पहला औद्योगिक रोबोट ब्राबो का अनावरण
टीएएल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सॉल्युशंस ने अप्रैल 2017 में अवधारणा, डिजाइन एवं निर्माण के स्तर पर पूरी तरह से पहले भारतीय औद्योगिक रोबोट ब्राबो का अनावरण किया. ब्राबो का मतलब है "ब्रावो रोबोट".
● इसे भारत के सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (एमएसएमई) के लिए स्वदेशी स्तर पर विकसित किया गया है. टीएएल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सॉल्यूशंस टाटा मोटर्स की पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली सहायक कंपनी है.
● रोबोट का डिजाइन और निर्माण कार्य टीएएल के पुणे स्थित कारखाने में हुआ है.
● इसे मुख्य रूप से कर्मचारियों की संख्या को पूरा करने के लिए विकसित किया गया है.
● इसे उच्च मात्रा, खतरनाक और समय लगने वाले कार्यों को लगातार करने के लिए भी बनाया गया है. इन कार्यों में कच्चा माल से लेकर तैयार माल की पैकिंग तक, सभी कार्य शामिल हैं.
● रोबो– आर्म के लिए मोटर और ड्राइव्स, जिन्हें इटली से मंगाया गया है, के अलावा, सभी अन्य पुर्जे भारत में स्वदेशी तौर पर बनाए गए थे.
● रोबोट के नाम पर चार पेटेंट पंजीकृत हैं. टीएएल रोबोट के लिए बौद्धिक संपदा प्रमाणन के लिए भी आवेदन किया है.
● रोबोट को लगाना, प्रयोग करना, प्रोग्राम करना और उसका रख–रखाव आसान है. इसमें सिर्फ एक बार अंशांकन की जरूरत है। रख–रखाव के समय इसमें कई बार अंशांकन की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती.
ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन को मिला दादा साहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार
21 अप्रैल की शाम को मुंबई में दादा साहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार का आयोजन किया गया था। जिसमें ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन को 2016 की फिल्म सरबजीत में अपनी शानदार परफॉर्मेंस के लिए सम्मानित किया गया।
● इससे पहले कि आप भारत सरकार द्वारा दिल्ली में होने वाले दादा साहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार को लेकर कंफ्यूज हो जाएं हम आपको बता देना चाहते हैं कि यह दादा साहेब फाल्के फाउंडेशन अवॉर्ड है जिसकी शुरुआत तीन साल पहले हुई थी।
● इसका आयोजन हर साल मुंबई में किया जाता है। जिसमें भारतीय सिनेमा में योगदान देने के लिए बहुत से कलाकारों का सम्मान किया जाता है।
● ऐश्वर्या राय ने ओमंग कुमार के निर्देशन में बनी फिल्म सरबजीत में बहन दलबीर कौर का किरदार निभाया था जिसके भाई पाकिस्तानी जेल में हत्या कर दी गई थी। इस फिल्म में रणदीप हुड्डा ने मुख्य भूमिका निभाई थी।
● दलबीर कौर अपने भाई को रिहा करवाने के लिए जमीन आसमान एक कर देती हैं। जिसकी वजह से उन्हें वैश्विक तौर पर अटेंशन मिली थी।
● ऐश्वर्या ने कहा- यह फिल्म सभी की मेहनत का रिजल्ट है। यह एक शख्स की मेहनत नहीं है। हर डिपार्टमेंट ने अपना योगदान दिया है।
● सरबजीत की स्क्रिप्ट काफी शानदार थी और हर एक्टर ने इसमें अपनी जान लगाई है। हमारे ऊपर बहुत बड़ी जिम्मेदारी थी। पुरस्कार मिलने से ऐसा लगता है कि पूरी टीम की कोशिश को देखा गया है।
विलय के बाद आदित्य बिड़ला समूह को 9% अतिरिक्त हिस्सेदारी बेचेगी वोडाफोन
वोडाफोन और आइडिया ने शुक्रवार को विलय को लेकर एक नया समझौता किया है। इस समझौते के तहत विलय के बाद वोडाफोन अपनी 9.5 प्रतिशत अतिरिक्त हिस्सेदारी आदित्य बिड़ला समूह को 130 रुपए प्रति शेयर के हिसाब से बेचेगी।
● इन दोनों कंपनियों के विलय से देश की सबसे बड़ी 23 अरब डॉलर की टेलीकॉम कंपनी अस्तित्व में आएगी।
● आदित्य बिड़ला समूह ने बीएसई को वोडाफोन और आदित्य सेल्यूलर के बीच विलय की योजना की जानकारी दी है। इसमें कहा गया है कि विलय के बाद अस्तित्व में आने वाली इकाई दोनों कंपनियों के संयुक्त नियंत्रण में होगी और इसका संचालन शेयरधारकों के करार के जरिये होगा।
● विलय के बाद बनने वाली कंपनी में वोडाफोन की 50 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी होगी, जबकि आदित्य बिड़ला ग्रुप के पास 21 प्रतिशत हिस्सा होगा। विलय पूरा होने के बाद वोडाफोन इस अस्तित्व में आने वाली कंपनी के 4.9 प्रतिशत शेयर आदित्य बिड़ला समूह को 3,874 करोड़ रुपए में बेचेगी।
● योजना के मुताबिक आदित्य बिड़ला ग्रुप की हिस्सेदारी बढ़कर 26 प्रतिशत हो जाएगी, जबकि वोडोफोन की हिस्सेदारी घटकर 45.1 प्रतिशत पर आ जाएगी। शेष 28.9 शेयर अन्य शेयरधारकों के पास रहेगी।
● चार वर्षों में हिस्सेदारी बराबर करने के लिए आदित्य बिड़ला समूह को 130 रुपए प्रति शेयर की दर से वोडाफोन से और शेयर खरीदने का अधिकार होगा।
● यदि चार साल में हिस्सेदारी बराबर नहीं हो पाएगी तो वोडाफोन अगले पांच साल में अपनी हिस्सेदारी बेचेगी, जिससे यह आदित्य बिड़ला समूह के बराबर हो जाए।
देवेन्द्र कुमार शर्मा बीबीएमबी के अध्यक्ष नियुक्त
देवेन्द्र कुमार शर्मा को 18 अप्रैल 2017 को भाखड़ा ब्यास प्रबंधन बोर्ड (बीबीएमबी) का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया. उनका कार्यकाल तीन वर्षों का होगा. उनकी नियुक्ति को कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति ने मंजूदी दे दी थी.
● बीबीएमबी पंजाब, हरियाणा और राजस्थान में पानी की आपूर्ति का प्रबंधन करता है क्योंकि भाखड़ा, पोंग और अन्य बांधों का नियंत्रण इसके पास है.
● वर्तमान में शर्मा हिमाचल प्रदेश बिजली निगम लिमिटेड के प्रबंध निदेशक के तौर पर सेवाएं दे रहे हैं. यहां उन्होंने भूटान में टाटा पनबिजली स्टेशन को लगाने और कार्यान्वित करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी.
● औद्योगिक दिग्गज लार्सन और टुब्रो के संरचनात्मक विकास परियोजनाओं के साथ वे काफी लंबे समय तक जुड़े रहे हैं.
● बीबीएमबी के अध्यक्ष का पद सितंबर 2015 से खाली पड़ा था. इसका अस्थायी प्रभार एसके शर्मा, बीबीएमबी के अधीन सिंचाई सदस्य, को दिया गया था.

यूपी में सुलखान सिंह नए डीजीपी नियुक्त किए गए
उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्य नाथ ने राज्य में वरिष्ठ आईपीएस सुलखान सिंह को नया डीजीपी नियुक्त किया है. आईपीएस सुलखान सिंह डीजीपी जावीद अहमद का स्थान ग्रहण करेंगे.
● सुलखान सिंह 1980 की बैच के वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी हैं. सुलखान सिंह पहले प्रशिक्षण मुख्यालय में तैनात थे.
● मूल रूप से बांदा जिले के निवासी 59 वर्षीय सुलखान सिंह 30 सितंबर, 2017 को सेवानिवृत्त होने वाले हैं.
● सुलखान सिंह 1980 कैडर के अधिकारी हैं. उन्होंने इंजिनियरिंग और वकालत की है.
● प्रदेश में उच्च पदों पर आसीन अधिकारियों के सम्बन्ध में सुप्रीम कोर्ट की गाइड लाइन है कि डीजीपी की तैनाती कम से कम दो वर्ष के लिए की जाए.
● सुलखान सिंह सख्त और ईमानदार अफसर माने जाते हैं.
बसपा सरकार के दौरान उन्होंने भर्ती घोटाले की जांच की.
● राजनाथ सिंह सरकार में सुलखान सिंह लखनऊ के डीआईजी रहे.
● भाजपा ने चुनाव के दौरान लगातार डीजीपी जावीद अहमद को हटाने की निर्वाचन आयोग से मांग की थी.
● पूर्व डीजीपी जावीद अहमद को डीजी पीएसी जैसे महत्वपूर्ण पद पर स्थानांतरित भी किया गया है.
शीर्ष माओवादी नेता नारायण सान्याल का निधन
भारत की गैरकानूनी साम्यवादी पार्टी– माओवादी (सीपीआई– माओवादी) के शीर्ष नेता नारायण सान्याल का 17 अप्रैल 2017 को दक्षिण कोलकाता स्थित एक अस्पताल में निधन हो गया. 78 वर्षीय सान्याल काफी समय से बीमार थे.
● बीजोय– दा के नाम से मशहूर, नारायण सान्याल ने 1967 में माओवादी राजनीति में कदम रखा।
● अविभाजित बंगाल के बोगरा जिले, जो अब बांग्लादेश का हिस्सा है, में जन्मे सान्याल फुटबॉल में गहरी दिलचस्पी के लिए जाने जाते थे.
● 1940 के दशक में सान्याल और उनका परिवार बंगाल चला आया जहां उन्हें एक बैंक में नौकरी मिल गई. हालांकि, जल्द ही उन्होंने यह नौकरी छोड़ दी और वर्ष 1960 के दशक में सीपीआई– मार्क्सवादी– लेनिनवादी (एमएल) में शामिल हो गए.
● सान्याल सीपीआई (एमएल) के अंतिम कड़ियों में से एक थे. इन्हें भारत में वाम विद्रोह और उसकी शाखा सीपीआई (माओवादी) का जनक माना जाता है. इसे भारत की आंतरिक सुरक्षा का सबसे बड़ा खतरा माना गया था.
● दिसंबर 2005 में सान्याल को छत्तीसगढ़ के रायपुर से गिरफ्तार किया गया था जब वे प्रतिबंधित सीपीआ (माओवादी) पोलित ब्यूरो के सदस्य के तौर पर काम कर रहे थे, यह निर्णय लेने वाली सर्वोच्च निकाय थी.
