I beg to differ but when the question mentions jewellery it means its not just pure gold but some other metals mixed with it forming an alloy because we all know pure gold cannot be used to make jewellery. please correct it.

Question:

when gold is melted and formed in a mold to make a piece of jewellery, what type of change is taking place?

Options:
A) a chemical change
B) a change of size
C) evaporation
D) physical change
Solution:
physical change-When gold is melted and formed in a mould to make a piece of jeweflery. it is a physical change.

Yes its Physical Change because Its just melted like water and refroze. If you thinking to have chemical change, A chemical change is something like when metal turns to rust, as the chemical structure of the metal has changed. Thats it
