UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2023

Let's go through the UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2023 set by IIT Bombay for the B.Des program at prestigious colleges:

  • Age Limit:

If you are in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL group, you must have been born on or after October 1, 1998, and if you are in the SC, ST, or PwD category, you must have been born on or after October 1, 1993.

  • Number of Attempts: 

A candidate can take the UCEED exam a maximum of two times in a row. It's worth noting that the UCEED score is only suitable for one year and only for admissions in the same academic year.

  • Qualifying Examination: 

To be eligible to take UCEED 2023, the applicant must have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2021 OR be taking the qualifying examination for the first time in 2023. ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts and Humanities) are eligible.

Those who took their qualifying test (Class XII) for the first time in 2020 or before are not eligible.

UCEED Registration 2023

UCEED registration 2023 began on September 30 and closed on November 16, 2022.

You can complete the UCEED application form on the exam's official website.

Important:

  • You must simultaneously meet ALL THREE eligibility requirements - Age Limit, Number of attempts, and qualifying examination.
  • If it is discovered later that you do not meet the requirements, registration will be cancelled.
  • There are no refunds or transfers on the registration fee.

UCEED Application Form 2023

  • You can apply for UCEED Exam 2023 Online mode ONLY. The application fee for the exam is accepted online mode only.
  • As mentioned above, you must meet all three qualifying requirements concurrently.
  • If it is later discovered that you do NOT fulfil any of the three qualifying conditions, the registration will be cancelled.
  • You solely must submit accurate information about the qualifying test and category, as well as upload VALID documents in the necessary formats in the registration form.
  • The admitting institutes have the authority to cancel your admission at any point if it is discovered that any information supplied to you is inaccurate or the registration is incomplete, in line with the rules and regulations in effect.

UCEED Exam Centers 2023

UCEED 2023 examination will be held in 24 cities in India. You must mention three exam cities from the list of UCEED Exam centres in order of preference.

UCEED 2023 will be a Computer Based Test. The exam duration is 3 hours, and the question paper will be in English. 

UCEED 2023 Exam Pattern consists of two parts: Part A and Part B, both mandatory.

  • Part A will be a computer-based test for 240 marks and 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be three sections in this part of the exam

UCEED Syllabus 2023

As per the official notification, UCEED 2023 Syllabus has 2 parts.

UCEED PART A:

Part A will have questions on the following topics:

  • Visualization and Spatial Ability - Pictorial and diagrammatic questions to assess knowledge of practical and daily mechanical and scientific ideas, as well as comprehension of the transformation and manipulation of 2D forms and 3D objects and their spatial connections.
  • Observation and Design Sensitivity - Capacity for detecting hidden qualities in everyday objects, people, situations, and events and critically evaluating them. Pay close attention to specific details, analyzing, reasoning, categorizing, inferring, and anticipating.
  • Environmental and Social Awareness - climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, natural resources, and other environmental elements, as well as their effects on product design, image, infrastructure, and the environment, are all aspects that need to be considered.
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning - Ability to analyze qualitative or quantitative data and find patterns. Ability to evaluate ideas, arguments, or solutions in light of relevant criteria.
  • Language and Creativity - Ability to comprehend and communicate in Standard English. Reading comprehension and English grammar expertise is required. Ability to think creatively about alternatives, differentiate novel ideas, and think outside the box.
  • Design Thinking and Problem Solving - These are examples of this ability: visual analogies, metaphors, signs, and symbols. Understanding complexity, the ability to detect issues, develop alternatives, assess choices, and choose solutions.

UCEED PART B:

You will have only one question on the following topic:

  • Drawing: The ability to depict proportionate goods, people, or situations with high line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.

UCEED Answer Key 2023

The answer key is the official document released by the exam conducting authority that includes responses to the exam questions. After a week of the exam, the rules shall release the UCEED Answer Key in online mode. 

Authority will also provide the objection facility after releasing the provisional answer key. You will be able to challenge the answer key within a given period, and the authority will release the final answer key after completing the objection period.

UCEED Result 2023

UCEED results will be released by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay). You need to use your user login and password (created during the registration process) to view the results.

 You can download your Score Card from the official UCEED 2023 website. 

  • No hard copy of the result will not be sent to anyone.
  • You need to download it only from the official website. 

UCEED Scorecard 2023

The exam conducting authority shall release the scorecard on the official website. You need to enter your email ID and password to download the scorecard PDF. 

The scorecard will contain your performance details in the entrance examination. It would be best to keep their scorecard safe until the completion of the Admission procedure scorecard can be required at the time of document verification.

UCEED Cut-Off 2023

UCEED Cut off marks are the minimum marks to be scored to be eligible for the admission process.

All shortlisted candidates are considered qualified for UCEED 2023.

Based on this, the rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part-A and Part-B combined) in UCEED 2023.

  • Only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in Part-A and Part-B, each section of the question paper, and minimum total marks will be included in the rank list.
  • However, the UCEED Committee reserves the right to decrease the minimum % of marks in each section and the minimum total marks such that 10×N ranks can be announced, where N is the total number of available seats.

UCEED Merit List 2023

The merit list for qualifiers shall be released by the exam conducting authorities on the official website. You can view or download the merit list only from the official website.

The merit list will be released based on the cut-off marks. The merit list shall include the rank of candidates for the UCEED counselling procedure.

To be considered for admission to the B. Des programs at the participating institutes.

You must meet ALL three of the following requirements at the same time.

  2. UCEED Qualification: You must have qualified in UCEED 2023, i.e. received a rank.

  • Only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in Part-A and Part-B, each section of the question paper, and minimum total marks will be included in the rank list.
  • However, the UCEED Committee reserves the right to decrease the minimum % of marks in each section and the minimum total marks such that 10×N ranks can be announced, where N is the total number of available seats.

UCEED Merit List 2023

The merit list for qualifiers shall be released by the exam conducting authorities on the official website. You can view or download the merit list only from the official website.

The merit list will be released based on the cut-off marks. The merit list shall include the rank of candidates for the UCEED counselling procedure.

UCEED B. Des Admission 2023

To be considered for admission to the B. Des programs at the participating institutes.

You must meet ALL three of the following requirements at the same time.

  1. Age Limit: If you are in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL group, you must have been born on or after October 1, 1997, and if you are in the SC, ST, or PwD category, you must have been born on or after October 1, 1992.
  2. UCEED Qualification: You must have qualified in UCEED 2023, i.e. received a rank.
  3. Qualifying Examination: In 2022 or 2023, you must have passed all five subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent). Those who took their qualifying test for the first time in 2020 or before are not eligible.

The candidates must carry the UCEED Admit card/Hall Ticket with them along with a Photo Identity Proof documents such as PAN Card, Voter Id, Driving Licence etc with them. The candidates must make sure to carry these or they might be debarred from sitting for the exam.
The question paper will have two parts-Part A and Part B.Part A has three sections but Part B has only one drawing questions.The overall duration of the question paper is 3 hours.
There are two parts in the UCEED Exam Pattern- Part A and Part B. Part A consists of 6 sections and Part B consists of Drawing.
