UCEED Seat Allotment Process 2023

On submission of the online application for the BDes UCEED program, the UCEED Seat Allotment Process 2023 happens in three stages.

  • Seat allocation for UCEED will be based on rank, category, and preference.
  • Provisional allocation letters will be provided to you via your registered email.
  • You must pay INR 60,000 as a Seat Acceptance Fee.
  • SC/ ST/ PWD applicants would be asked to pay an online seat acceptance fee of INR 15,000/-.

The following rules will govern the Joint Seat Allotment process:

  • Shortlisted applications will be revoked if you do not pay the seat acceptance fee within the specified time frame or refuse admission. These open seats will be filled in subsequent seat allocation rounds.
  • If you accept your first choice of the institute, you have two choices: take the decision, which will freeze the seat, or refuse the offer.
  • If you are offered your second or third choice of the institute, you can accept it or accept it with an option that could be considered for upward movement, i.e. 'float' the choice for further rounds, if any, at the time of joint seat distribution.
  • If you choose the 'freezing' option, accept an offer indicating that you do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat distribution. Such applicants will be disqualified from consideration in subsequent stages of the admissions process.
  • If you choose the 'floating' option, accept the provided seat and declare that if admission to an institute of your greater preference is offered, you will accept it; otherwise, you will continue to study at their current institute. These candidates will be allowed to participate in subsequent admissions rounds.
  • The assignment of a seat in their higher priority institute will result in the loss of the seat accepted in the earlier round for candidates who pick the 'float' option.
  • Those who are offered seats must pay a one-time seat acceptance fee. As a result, applicants assigned to a different heart for choosing the "float" option will not have to pay the seat acceptance fee again.
  • If you accept an offered seat, the seat acceptance fee will be deducted from the institute's entrance fee at the time of enrollment.
  • The governed rules shall control the reimbursement if you decline/reject the given seat after paying the acceptance fee.
  • Those who decline/reject an offered seat will be refunded according to the admitting institute's regulations after paying the seat acceptance fee.
  • If you have paid the cost for seat acceptance and subsequently withdraw before the conclusion of the first round or the end of the second round, you will get a full refund after subtracting the INR 3000 processing fee.
  • You cannot withdraw an approved/allotted seat until the final round of seat allocation is announced.
