UCEED Cut Off 2026 (Expected): Check Category-Wise and Previous Years Cut off

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, ideally releases the UCEED 2025 cut-off marks for part A on the official website before announcing the final results. 

As per the official notification, Part B will be assessed only for those who score above the Part A cut-off.

The overall cut-off for admission, which considers both Part A and Part B scores is released during the UCEED seat allotment process. For 2025, the first round of counselling started on April 10, 2025. 

Note that the cut-off marks for UCEED will vary for different categories, and the closing and opening ranks may differ for participating institutes.

• UCEED 2026 Applications (Now Closed): The online registrations with regular fees started from 17.00 pm, 1st October 2025. The deadline for the same is 31 October, 2025.
• Registration deadline (with late fee): Extended to 5 November 2025, and further extended to 10 November 2025 (5:00 pm) for late‑fee window.
• UCEED 2026 Exam Date Out: UCEED 2026 will be held on Sunday, 18th January, 2026 (9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon). 
• UCEED 2026 Admit card download begins: 2 January 2026 at 1:00 pm.
• UCEED 2026 Result declaration: 6 March 2026. Scorecards downloadable from 10 March 2026 to 31 July 2026.

How are UCEED Cut Off 2026 Marks Determined?

First of all let's understand how the UCEED cut off is calculated. IIT Bombay has altered the formula to calculate the UCEED 2025 Cut Off. The new formula to calculate the cut-off marks is 𝜇 + (𝜎⁄2) = 𝛿, where 𝜇 and 𝜎 are the average marks and standard deviation of marks obtained by all the aspirants in Part A of the UCEED exam. These values are released on UCEED official website every year. 

For example: The mean and standard deviation for Part-A (UCEED 2025) are 61.50 and 25.69, respectively.

Note that the values of 𝜇 and 𝜎 will be rounded off for the first decimal place. You must fulfil a cut-off score if you belong to the reserved category.

The cut-off marks for different categories are calculated as mentioned below:

• 0.9𝛿 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
• 0.9𝛿 for EWS
• 0.5𝛿 for SC/ST
• 0.5𝛿 for PwD

Where 𝛿 is the cut-off mark for OPEN category.

UCEED cut off 2026 rules:

• Part-B paper of those candidates who are not shortlisted shall not be evaluated.
• All shortlisted candidates will get a rank.
• The evaluated answer booklets of Part-B will not be shared with the candidates.
• Answer booklets of Part - B will be preserved ONLY for a period of three months from the date of declaration of UCEED results. 
• The evaluation of Part-B will be done manually by at least two expert evaluators separately and independently.
• If the difference is 12 marks (20%), the answer sheet of Part B will be evaluated by a third expert examiner (and so on until the difference <= 20%).
• A simple average of the closest of two evaluators will be selected as the final marks.
• If the difference in marks between the moderator and either of the examiners is the same, then the higher average will be considered for the calculation of score.
• The total UCEED score will be calculated by adding the marks obtained in Part-A and Part-B.
• This total score will be used to prepare the final result/rank. 
• UCEED 2026 Question Paper and Draft Answer Key will be released on the UCEED website.

UCEED Cut-off 2026 [Expected]

The 2026 exam is expected to follow the same two-part UCEED exam pattern as last year:

• Part A (Computer-Based Test) – 200 marks

• Part B (Drawing Test) – 100 marks

However, the increasing difficulty of vin recent years, along with growing competition, will likely push the cut off marks slightly higher than in 2025.

UCEED Exam Cut Off 2025

UCEED Cut off scores are released before the counselling process. 

• UCEED final results were declared on  March 7, 2025
• IIT Bombay has released the UCEED 2025 Part A Cut-off on Feb 6, 2025
• UCEED counselling process started on March 14, 2025 and ended on April 3, 2025
• Round 1 Seat Allotment was conducted on April 21, 2025
• Seat allotment process concluded with the last and 5th round on July 3, 2025.

UCEED Marks vs Rank: Declaration Process

It's important to understand the differences between UCEED Marks vs Rank and how are both inter-related to each other.

While UCEED marks are raw scores achieved by each candidate, the UCEED rank reflects the candidate's relative position in the competitive exam as compared to other candidates in the merit list.

And as we know, a higher rank generally indicates better performance and greater chances of admission in top colleges. The rank list of UCEED 2025 is prepared based on your marks in Parts A and B of the exam.
