National Institute of Design (NID) shall release the NID DAT result for prelims in online mode only. As the exam is scheduled for 14th March 2021, the result is expected to be released tentatively in the fourth week of March 2021. 

  • The result are announced separately for B.Des and M.Des courses. 
  • NID Cut off is the major criteria for the mains selection which shall be published along with the results. 
  • After the mains exam, the final result is declared that is on 30% weightage of the prelims and 70% weightage of the mains for B.Des/GDPD course. For the M.Des course, it is based on 20% weightage of the prelims and 80% weightage of the mains.
  • The NID DAT 2021 Result is released in the form scorecard under the candidates’ login.

How to Check NID DAT Result 2021?

  • Go to the official website – results.nid.edu.
  • Click on the link NID RESULT 2021.
  • Enter your registered E-mail ID, Date of Birth, and Verification Code.
  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • NID DAT 2021 result is displayed on the screen.
  • Download and take a printout off the NID DAT result 2021 PDF for future references.

NID Result 2021 Rechecking Process

If you find any discrepancies in the NID result, then you can send a request for rechecking the prelims result soon after the declaration of the result. You need to pay Rs 2000/- as rechecking fee for checking both NID DAT Prelims and Mains result. 

  • STEP 1:- Visit the official website, admissions.nid.edu.
  • STEP 2:- Click on the appropriate link of the “Login to submit Rechecking Request for M.Des. DAT Prelims Exam 2021”.
  • STEP 3:- Now, enter your E-mail ID, Date of Birth, and Verification Code. After entering all the details, click on the submit button.
  • STEP 4:- The request for re-checking is going to be kept in consideration.

The request for rechecking is entertained only if you have submitted the scanned copy of the admit card signed by the invigilator and seal of the examination center.

NID DAT 2021 Merit List 

  • NID DAT merit list is prepared category-wise, that is, different lists are released for General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PH category candidates.
  • NID’s official website informs: “From the total number of applicants who have appeared for DAT, the number of candidates to be called for Stage 2 and Stage 3 of the exam will be calculated as no less than 3 X N where ‘N’ stands for the number of seats in that category for that program or discipline”.

Tie-Breaking Criteria for NID DAT 2021

If two students have secured the same marks, then

  • A higher rank is assigned to the one who has secured higher marks in the mains exam.
  • If the tie persists rank is given to the one who scored more marks in Stage - I Design Aptitude Test Part
  • If the tie still remains, a higher rank is given to the one who scores more marks in Stage - I Design Aptitude Test Part B
  • If the tie still exists, then the higher rank will be awarded to the one who scores more marks in Stage - I Design Aptitude Test Part A
  • If the tie still remains, a higher rank is given to the one who gets more marks in the question of the DAT mains exam which carries maximum marks
