National Institute of Design (NID) will announce NID DAT 2020 result for prelims in online mode in second week of March 2020 for B.Des/GDPD courses and in second week of Feb 2020 for M.Des course.

  • National Institute of Design (NID) will announce NID DAT 2020 result for mains in online mode in forth week of May 2020 for B.Des/GDPD courses and in first week of May 2020 for M.Des course.
  •  NID DAT result will be declared in the form of a merit list.
  • The candidates can check their results online by following the steps mentioned below:
  1. Go to the official website – results.nid.edu
  2. Click on the link NID RESULT 2020
  3. Enter roll no. and application no. and click submit.
  4. The result will appear on the screen
  5. Take the printout and keep it for further reference.

Candidates can request for rechecking of their results till fourth week of March 2020.

  • The qualified candidates in the prelims will be eligible to appear for NID DAT Mains.
  • After the mains exam, the final result is declared that is on 30% weightage of the prelims and 70% weightage of the mains for B.Des/GDPD course. For the M.Des course, it is based on 20% weightage of the prelims and 80% weightage of the mains.
  •  The authorities will release NID DAT 2020 Mains result for B.Des./GDPD in fourth week of May. Post announcement of final NID DAT result 2020, candidates can request for rechecking within a specific time.
  • The NID DAT 2020 Result is released in the form scorecard under the candidates’ login.

NID DAT Result Dates 2020

  • NID DAT Prelims Exam will be held on 1st Week of January 2020 for both the courses B.Des/GDPD & M.Des.
  • NID Exam Result of Prelims will be out on 2nd Week of March 2020 for B.Des/GDPD courses and for M.Des course it will be out on 2nd Week of February 2020.
  • NID DAT Mains Exam for B.Des/GDPD will be on 2nd Week of May 2020 and for M.Des course it will be on 1st Week of March 2020.
  • NID Exam Result of Mains will be out on 4th Week of May 2020 for B.Des/GDPD courses and for M.Des course it will be out on 1st Week of May 2020.

How to Check NID DAT Result 2020?

STEP 1:- Go to the official website – results.nid.edu.Click on the link NID RESULT 2020.

STEP 2:- Candidates need to enter their registered E-mail ID, Date of Birth and Verification Code.

STEP 3:- After entering the verification code click on the ‘Submit’ button.

STEP 4:- NID DAT 2020 result is going to be displayed on the screen.

STEP 5:- Candidates can check their qualifying status and save NID DAT result 2020 page for future references too.

NID Result 2020 –Rechecking Process

STEP 1:- Visit the official website, admissions.nid.edu.

STEP 2:- Click on the appropriate link of the “Login to submit Rechecking Request for M.Des. DAT Prelims Exam 2020”.

STEP 3:- Now, enter your E-mail ID, Date of Birth and Verification Code. After entering all the details, click on the submit button.

STEP 4:- The request for re-checking is going to be kept in consideration.

The request of rechecking is only going to be entertained if you have submitted the scanned copy of the admit card signed by the invigilator and seal of the examination center.

NID DAT 2020 Mains – Shortlisting of Candidates

Based on the merit list of NID DAT Prelims, eligible candidates are required to appear for NID DAT Mains i.e Studio Test and Interview. The number of candidates shortlisted is no less than three times the number of seats available per category in that discipline or programme. In case of a tie, i.e. if the total scores in the Prelims exam of two or more candidates are same, they are assigned the same rank.

NID DAT 2020 Merit List 

NID DAT merit list is prepared category-wise, that is, different lists are released for General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PH category candidates. NID’s official website informs: “From the total number of applicants who have appeared for DAT, the number of candidates to be called for Stage 2 and Stage 3 of the exam will be calculated as no less than 3 X N where ‘N’ stands for number of seats in that category for that programme or discipline”.
