Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  • a citizen of India, Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan and a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC JHT Age Limit 2020

Candidates applying for JHT post must not exceed 30 years as on 01 January 2020. Age Relaxation is applicable according to the notification released by the examination authority.

SSC JHT Selection Process 2020 comprises of the following selection process:

  1. Paper I - Objective-based paper
  2. Paper-II - Descriptive Paper

 SSC JHT paper I Selection Process 2020

  • The Paper I is an M.C.Q based exam with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
  • The exam is conducted for 2 hours in online mode. 
  • It contains two sections and each section has 100 multiple-choice questions. Paper I is for 200 marks.
  • If the Paper I exam is conducted in several shifts, then the marks scored shall be normalized and used to determine the final merit list.

SSC JHT Paper II Selection Process 2020

  • Candidates who qualify in Paper I exam will be eligible for paper II exam.
  • Paper-II is a descriptive type of paper that contains two passages. Candidates need to translate one passage from Hindi to English and the other from English to Hindi.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the final SSC JHT Document Verification Process based on the marks scored in both Paper-1 and Paper-2 exam. The final selection of the candidate and allocation of Ministries/ Departments will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in both the papers and the preference of Posts applied by them at the time of Document Verification.

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  • a citizen of India, Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan and a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC JHT Age Limit 2020

Candidates applying for JHT post must not exceed 30 years as on 01 January 2020. Age Relaxation is applicable according to the notification released by the examination authority.

SSC JHT Qualification 2020

Candidates need to have a Bachelor degree or Masters Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi or English.

SSC JHT Application Fee 2020

SSC JHT Application Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

  • As per SSC 2020 JHT Notification, applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected by the commission.
  • Candidates who are required to pay the fee for SSC JHT Application Form 2020 should make sure that their fee has been deposited with SSC.

SSC JHT Selection Process 2020

SSC JHT Selection Process 2020 comprises of the following selection process:

  1. Paper I - Objective-based paper
  2. Paper-II - Descriptive Paper

 SSC JHT paper I Selection Process 2020

  • The Paper I is an M.C.Q based exam with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
  • The exam is conducted for 2 hours in online mode. 
  • It contains two sections and each section has 100 multiple-choice questions. Paper I is for 200 marks.
  • If the Paper I exam is conducted in several shifts, then the marks scored shall be normalized and used to determine the final merit list.

SSC JHT Paper II Selection Process 2020

  • Candidates who qualify in Paper I exam will be eligible for paper II exam.
  • Paper-II is a descriptive type of paper that contains two passages. Candidates need to translate one passage from Hindi to English and the other from English to Hindi.
  • The Paper-II exam is for 2 hours for the General category and it is for 2 hours and 40 minutes for the VH or OH candidates.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the final SSC JHT Document Verification Process based on the marks scored in both Paper-1 and Paper-2 exam. The final selection of the candidate and allocation of Ministries/ Departments will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in both the papers and the preference of Posts applied by them at the time of Document Verification.
