Direct answer:
The IIM Bangalore BBA cut-off 2026 has not been released.
IIM Bangalore publishes the BBA DBE cut-off after the IIMB DBE Entrance Test, held on 26 July 2026, is evaluated, with results due in the first or second week of August 2026.
In the two cycles already completed, the qualifying benchmark was a combined score of 50% for General, 45% for NC-OBC and EWS, and 40% for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
Key Highlights
The IIMB DBE Entrance Test 2026 runs on 26 July 2026, 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, in person at centres across India.
The IIM Bangalore BBA cut off is an absolute qualifying percentage, not a percentile or rank. You clear a fixed bar rather than compete for one.
In 2024, the IIM Bangalore BBA cut off ran in two stages: a 20% minimum in General Awareness first, then a combined score across the other three sections. Most summaries of this exam miss it.
Three pathways qualify: the IIMB DBE Entrance Test, CUET (UG) General Test Section III only, or JEE Main. JEE Advanced is not accepted. Your best score counts.
The BBA DBE is a three-year online degree, not an IPM programme, and separate from IIMB's BSc (Hons) Economics and Data Science courses.
The IIM Bangalore BBA 2026 cutoff has not been announced yet.
IIM Bangalore's 2026 admission document states that shortlisting is based on the category-wise and section-wise selection cut-off in the IIMB DBE Entrance Test 2026, decided by the Admissions Office after the test.
Nothing is published in advance.

Until then, the two completed cycles are the only defensible reference. Both appear below with the mechanism attached, because the mechanism matters more than the number.
This is the part almost every summary of this exam gets wrong. For the 2024 cycle, IIM Bangalore's own admission document sets out a two-stage IIM Bangalore BBA cut off:
Stage 1, the General Awareness gate
Candidates scoring 20% or more in General Awareness were shortlisted for further processing. Those below it were not processed at all, however well they did elsewhere.
Stage 2, the combined score
For candidates who cleared Stage 1, IIMB computed a combined score across the other three sections only: Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, and Logical and Analytical Reasoning. Within those three, no sectional cut-offs applied.
Two consequences, both practical. General Awareness was a gate, not a scoring section:
it could eliminate you, but a strong GA score did not lift your total. And the widely repeated claim that this exam has "no sectional cut-off" is wrong as stated — there were none among the three aptitude sections, and a hard requirement on the fourth.
For the 2025 cycle, IIMB's published description drops the GA gate and states only that candidates at or above the category threshold were offered admission across all three pathways, without clarifying whether GA was folded into that score.
For 2026, the selection clause again reads "category-wise/section-wise selection cut-off … decided by the Admissions Office," and the FAQ calls sectional cut-offs a matter of management discretion.
A sectional requirement remains live, and IIMB has reserved the right to set it after the paper. Prepare all four sections.
Our IIM Bangalore BBA admission process guide tracks each stage in sequence.

The IIM Bangalore BBA cut off held steady at 50/45/40 across both completed cycles. That is a signal, not a guarantee:
IIMB states the criteria may change at its discretion and that minimum eligibility never guarantees admission.
Practical reading for 2026 — treat 50% as the floor, not the target. A combined score in the low 60s clears any plausible upward revision.
You need not sit the IIMB DBE Entrance Test at all.
Three independent pathways qualify, and the test is optional if you hold a valid CUET or JEE Main score — each carries its own IIM Bangalore BBA cut off.

|
JEE Main |
Overall percentile |
50th / 45th / 40th percentile |
Four details that decide applications and are routinely misreported:
Only CUET's General Test counts. IIMB states domain subjects and the English language section will not be evaluated. A strong domain score contributes nothing.
JEE Advanced is not accepted. IIMB states this explicitly. JEE Main only.
Score years accepted for 2026 are 2024, 2025 and 2026, for both CUET (UG) and JEE Main.
Older CUET percentiles were extrapolated. IIMB notes that percentiles for previous years were calculated by extrapolating current-year data, so a 2024 scorecard percentile is not your effective figure.
If CUET is your route, see our CUET General Test guide and IIM Bangalore BBA DBE admission through CUET.
Four variables move the IIM Bangalore BBA cut off, and it is worth knowing which ones are noise.
The nature of the benchmark. A fixed percentage, not a percentile, so a hard paper does not lower it. What changes is how many candidates clear it.
Institutional discretion. IIMB sets the category-wise and section-wise BBA DBE criteria after evaluation and may modify any part of the process at any stage.
Whether a sectional gate applies. The biggest swing factor. A 58% combined score is safe under the 2025 description and could still fail the 2024 mechanic on weak General Awareness.
Programme maturity. This is the third BBA DBE batch, and strengthening applicant profiles tends to firm criteria rather than loosen them.
Applicant volume is the variable to ignore. Anyone quoting a precise expected 2026 score is guessing; IIMB has never disclosed test-taker numbers.

Per IIM Bangalore's official FAQ, the IIMB DBE Entrance Test carries 60 questions in 90 minutes across four assessed areas:
Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Logical and Analytical Reasoning
General Awareness
That is roughly 1.5 minutes per question. Now the honest part:
IIM Bangalore has never published a section-wise question count, a marking scheme, or a negative-marking rule for this test.
Pages stating "15 questions in VARC" or "no negative marking" as fact are inferring from memory-based reports, not citing IIMB. Treat both as unconfirmed.
What is official is the structural point above: General Awareness has functioned as a gate, not a scoring component. That should shape your first ten minutes more than any assumed mark distribution.
Cross-check topics against our BBA DBE sample papers, syllabus and exam pattern guides.
Eligibility is verified before the IIM Bangalore BBA cut off is ever applied, so confirm yours matches the official criteria exactly.

Two conditions are new in 2026
Comparing IIMB's 2025 and 2026 admission documents directly, the 2026 cycle added compulsory Class 10 Mathematics and added the IGCSE advanced-course clause. Neither appeared in the 2025 document.
Also confirm: NC-OBC and EWS certificates must be dated on or after 1 April 2026, and no category change is entertained after submission.
NIOS candidates qualify provided Class 12 or equivalent is complete with Mathematics mandated in Class 10. Full detail on our BBA DBE eligibility criteria page.
You appear for the IIMB DBE Entrance Test, or submit a valid CUET (UG) General Test Section III score or a JEE Main score.
The Admissions Office applies the category-wise IIM Bangalore BBA cut off and section-wise criteria where it decides to, to your score.
If you submitted more than one score, the better of your CUET/JEE score and your IIMB test score is used.
Candidates clearing the IIM Bangalore BBA cut off are informed by email only and invited to register by paying the programme fee within IIMB's window.
IIMB is explicit that selection rests only on test performance, and that minimum eligibility does not guarantee admission. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted, so silence is itself the outcome.
No. IIM Bangalore's 2026 admission document states that candidates are selected solely on their performance in the test.
No interview, group discussion or written-ability round is part of the BBA DBE process.
This is a common and costly confusion, because IIMB's other undergraduate programmes work differently: the BSc (Hons) Economics and BSc (Hons) Data Science courses weight the entrance test at 60% and a personal interview at 40%.
If you are also applying there, use the separate IIMB UG cut off page and our IIM Bangalore UG interview preparation tips, which apply to those BSc programmes and not to the BBA DBE.

On that precedent, expect roughly a two-week turnaround from result to offer-acceptance deadline, so keep funds accessible in mid-August. We update the IIM Bangalore BBA cut off here as soon as IIMB publishes it, alongside the results, answer key and exam analysis pages.

NC-OBC and EWS candidates may receive aid based on family income against a ₹8 lakh per annum threshold; IIMB notes previous-batch support ranged between roughly 15% and 20%, with final decisions resting with the institute.
A break costs ₹2,000 per term, maximum three consecutive terms. Our BBA DBE fees page tracks changes, and seat intake is covered separately.
On outcomes, be clear-eyed. The first cohort enrolled in September 2024, so no batch has graduated and no placement or salary data exists.
IIMB's stated position is a digital platform connecting recruiters and graduates. Any package figure quoted online is not from IIMB. Degree holders receive IIM Bangalore alumni status; Certificate and Diploma exits do not.
Reading IIMB's two admission documents side by side surfaces five changes reported nowhere else, one of them a genuine trap.

The exit-and-rejoin change deserves real weight. Under the 2026 rules, taking the Year 1 Certificate or Year 2 Diploma and leaving is a one-way door.
If you might want the full degree later, stay enrolled and use the break provision instead.
Because the IIM Bangalore BBA cut off is an absolute qualifying percentage, your job is not to beat other candidates. It is to clear a fixed bar without tripping a sectional gate.
Secure General Awareness first. In the 2024 IIMB DBE Entrance Test, it was a 20% pass/fail gate that added nothing to your total.
Bank the certain answers in a focused early block and move on. It cannot be reasoned out under pressure, and it is the one section that can end your candidature alone.
Then treat QADI, VARC and LAR as one pool. No cut-offs applied among these three; only the combined total counted. Spend remaining time where marks come cheapest, not evenly.
Do not gamble on the marking scheme. Negative marking is unconfirmed. Guess only in the final minutes, only on two-option questions.
Use the on-screen calculator sparingly. Slower than mental arithmetic for percentages and ratios. Save it for multi-step Data Interpretation.
Reach the centre early. 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, in person, hall ticket and photo ID.
Our BBA DBE preparation strategy page has the sectional details for tonight's revision.
Confusing these three costs students entire cycles, and each applies a different IIM Bangalore BBA cut-off logic.

IIMB states explicitly that this is not an IPM programme, which is why the IIM Bangalore BBA cut off works nothing like an IPMAT shortlist. It is an independent three-year degree, pursuable alongside another programme, with NEP-aligned Certificate, Diploma and Degree exits.
