UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2027

Before proceeding with understanding the UCEED application form 2027, you must meet the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2027 for participation. Otherwise, the exam conducting body will reject your candidature.

Age Limit

If you are in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category, you must have been born on or after October 1, 2002, and if you are in the SC, ST, or PwD category, you must have been born on or after October 1, 1997.

Number of Attempts

A candidate can take the exam a maximum of two times in a row. UCEED scores are valid for admissions in the same academic year.

Qualifying Examination

The applicant must have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in either 2026 OR be taking the qualifying examination for the first time in 2027. All streams of class 12 are eligible (Science, Commerce, Arts and Humanities).

UCEED Registration Fee 2027

After uploading all the required documents, you are redirected to a new window. Once you press the final submit button, no further changes in the application form for the UCEED exam are possible. So, verify the submitted details once again before clicking on the last submission button.

• After the final submission, you are redirected to the UCEED registration fee payment section.
• You can pay the application fee using a Credit or debit Card by entering your card details, CVV, and OTP generated.
• If you choose Net Banking as your payment method, fill in your bank details and take a screenshot of the receipt.

How do you fill out the UCEED online application form? Only those who will qualify in the UCEED entrance exam can apply for counselling at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur for the academic year 2026.

There will be a common application form for admission to respective B.Des programs.

Documents Required for UCEED Registration 2027

You must submit the following documents while completing the UCEED registration form for B.Des programs.

• A recent colour photograph of a full frontal (face) view, with the head centred in the frame covering 70-80% of the photograph and taken within the last six months. The photograph should be such that it allows unambiguous identification of the candidate
• A scanned copy of the candidate’s full signature on white paper is also required in the UCEED application form 2027
• Qualifying examination certificate, if appeared in 2025.
• For candidates appearing in 2027 for the exam, a certificate from the school/college principal in the given format (Appendix 1) should be uploaded
• If the name is not the same as in the Class XII certificate, a gazette notification showing the name change is required.

Candidates Seeking Admission Under the EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST or PwD Category

• OBC-NCL (Appendix 2), Caste (for SC), Tribe (for ST) (Appendix 3), EWS (Appendix 4) or PwD certificate (Unique Disability Identification (UDID) certificate or Forms in Appendices 5-7) issued by a competent authority.
• Dyslexic candidates need to submit FORM-DYSLEXIC 1 and 2 (Appendices 8 and 9) instead of PwD certificate. The certificate must mention ‘SEVERE’ under Dyslexia category to enable the candidate to get the benefit of PwD category.
• PwD candidates requiring scribe and/or compensatory time (20 minutes/hour) during the exam need to upload a request letter (Appendix 10).
• The compensatory time for Part-A cannot be transferred to Part-B and vice versa
