IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2023

Let us see IPMAT Indore section-wise analysis for better understanding.

IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2023: Quantitative Ability (SA)

The QA (Short Answer) section was unique to IPMAT Indore. Students didn't get answer choices; they had to input the final numeric answer in a text box.

Generally, it was easy to identify 5-6 simple questions in this section.

However, according to student feedback, there were hardly any straightforward questions.

The questions were longer and involved applying multiple concepts within a single question.

This section was considered Moderate to Advanced in overall difficulty.

A decent attempt was approximately 9 questions, and with an accuracy of 85-90%, a respectable score was around 32 marks.

The cut-off was approximately 20 marks, which could be achieved by correctly answering 5 questions.

IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2023: Quantitative Ability (MCQ)

The QA (MCQ) section was the second part of IPMAT Indore and once more tested Maths, but with MCQ answer choices.

This section was easier than the first one. Most students were able to solve the DI/LR set in this section and answered 5 easy questions.

Other than that, there were 4-5 direct, concept- or formula-based questions.

Other questions were concept-based and applied multiple concepts within a single question. The Matrices and Determinants question was calculative but straightforward.

In general, this section was deemed to be of Moderate difficulty level.

A good effort was about 19 questions, and with an accuracy of 85-90%, a good result was about 60 marks.

The cut-off was about 46 marks, which could be reached by answering 12-13 questions correctly and hardly any wrong.

IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2023: Verbal Ability (VA)

The Verbal Ability section was far more comfortable than anticipated.

Students overall found RC passages a breeze to read and were able to try 9-10 out of 12 questions on both RCs.

Two to three questions based on idioms and phrases took a little effort from those who hadn't seen them before.

Other questions were less problematic, and most students could attempt nearly all the questions.

Students found parajumble questions to be especially easy as just four short sentences had to be rearranged into a paragraph.

Thus, this section was rated Easy to Moderate.

A good attempt would be 40 questions, with an accuracy of 85-90%, yielding approximately 140 marks.

The expected cut-off would be roughly 124 marks, which could be achieved by attempting 33-34 questions and getting a few wrong.
