RRC RRB Group D Recruitment 2020 Know Complete Notification Details

Railway has announced an important update3 about RRC Group D Notification. The board mentioned that the conducting body for Group D recruitment will now be RRC (Railway Recruitment Cell). RRC Group D Recruitment Notification has been published online for approximately 1,03,769 vacancies. It has been delayed due to the non-assigning of the exam conducting body by the Railway Board as per various media sources. This year, the number of applications is expected to rise to more than 2 crores.

Latest: RRB is conducting meetings and bidding for selecting an Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) to help RRB conduct the online exams. The meetings have been postponed to June 2020. Also, in the recent announcement, RRB announced that ECA will conduct the RRC Group D Exam by the end of 2020 if everything goes well. 

The Indian Railways has decided not to make any new recruitments henceforth for RRB Group D posts. To make up for the loss, Railways has canceled the vacancies due to cost-cutting. According to the documents of the Ministry of Railways, cost-cutting is being discussed from all the 17 zonal railways to reduce the ill effects of lockdown.

RRC Group D Admit Card 2020

RRC Group D Admit Card is released officially 15 days prior to the exam for the candidates who have successfully applied for RRC Group D Recruitment. The call letter for Railway Recruitment to Group D level 1 posts are released 15 days prior to the exam date. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website using the following steps:

  • Visit the official website of the zone-wise RRC.
  • Find and click the direct link to download the admit card.
  • Enter your user ID and password to log in.
  • Check the details on your admit card and download it.
  • Take out multiple prints of the admit card.

Note: Make sure the information mentioned on the admit card is correct. It is a mandate to carry the RRC Group D Hall Ticket along with a valid ID proof to the exam center. In case a candidate fails to bring the required documents then he/she will not be allowed to take the exam. RRC Group D Eligibility is the mandate criteria to apply for the recruitment exam to the desired post. Railway Group D Recruitment is offered only to Indian citizens. RRC Group D Refund Process

Railway Recruitment Board had begun the concept of examination fee refund to the candidates who had already attended CBT for Level 1 Posts against CEN 02/2018. It has been observed at the time of the refund process that for many students, the refund was not successful or could not be initiated because of the following reasons

  • Sometimes, there is an issue in the candidate’s bank details (account number, IFSC Code, etc).
  • A similar account number furnished for a large number of students.
  • The candidates not providing the Account Number.

To successfully refund the amount in the correct bank account, RRB has come up with a process of OTP. So, from now on, an Update Bank Account Link will be provided on the official websites of RRBs which was live from 22/03/2019 to 28/03/2019.

  • An SMS and an Email had also be sent to these candidates on 22/03/2019 to correct/provide their correct Bank Account Details.
  • The candidates are suggested to use this one time opportunity to update their bank details.
  • Candidates are also requested to make sure that the Bank Account Number and IFSC Code they have inserted are accurate and suggested to thoroughly keep a check on the Bank Account Details before they submit the same.
  • It may be noted that changes in bank details after the successful submission is not possible.
  • RRBs will not take the responsibility for any failure of refund, if any, on account of incorrect details entered by the students and will not entertain further correspondence in this regard
