Admission to the BDes program at NIFT is a three-tiered process. CAT (Creative Ability Test), followed by GAT (General Ability Test) and the Situation Test, are required here. To enroll in one of the many NIFT campuses' BDes programs, students must pass the Situation Test.

CAT and GAT exams have 50% and 30% weightage by NIFT entrance test officials, respectively, while the NIFT Situation Test is given 20% weightage. The final NIFT admissions merit list is compiled using this metric.

After the written exam results are released, the NIFT Situation Test is held. However, the pandemic prevented the NIFT Situation Test from occurring in 2020.

Candidates for the NIFT Situation Test must appear at the NIFT exam center to which they have been assigned. The duration of the NIFT Situation Test is two hours.

To answer the questions, aspirants must provide a written explanation of the model's construction and their completed model.

For the previous years, we've put up a list of the NIFT Situation Test questions that have been asked in the past decade.

It is important to note that these questions were provided by coaching centers and students who took the NIFT Entrance Exam in a given year.

A candidate's material handling and creative abilities are assessed in an assigned circumstance with a given set of materials during the NIFT 2023 situation test. Candidates must download the call letter for the NIFT scenario test after booking a time slot and selecting a test center location by giving the necessary credentials.

No additional or outside materials will be allowed throughout the model-making process. Students will be required to use only English when describing the model. Candidates may not use any other language to express the subject.

Candidates will be disqualified if they explain the model in any language other than English. The jurors will be able to make their own decisions about the candidates. There will be no future use for those test takers' models.
