National Institute of Fashion Technology has released the NIFT Notification 2020 for the admission in UG level designed course. The correction window to edit the NIFT 2020 Application Form has activated. Candidates can edit their personal details they had filled mistakenly while filling the application form. NIFT Application Form 2020

  • After the last date candidates can still register for an online NIFT application form by paying a certain late fee which was INR 5000 last year until the first week of January 2020.
  • Applicants with a minimum age of 17 years can apply for the UG courses while for the PG courses the minimum age is 21 years.
  • The NIFT 2020 Application fee for General/OBC-NCL candidates is INR Rs. 2000 while for SC/ST and PWD candidates is INR 1000.
  • For Online payment, the application fee has to be paid by debit/credit card/net banking. For offline payment, the application fee can be paid through demand draft.

NIFT Form Correction 2020

In case candidates have made mistakes while filling the application form, the corrections can be made as the correction window is opened till the 4th January 2020 application correction window.

  • Candidates would only be allowed to make changes in their NIFT application form before paying their application fee. No changes or modifications in the NIFT entrance exam registration form would be accepted once candidates have paid their NIFT application fee.
  • Test cities once entered cannot be changed even in the application correction window.
  • if any NIFT application form is found to be incomplete or incorrect after the correction window ends then the NIFT application fee paid by such candidates would not be refunded. 
  •  The candidature of candidates who provide incorrect information in their application form for the NIFT exam would be canceled.

NIFT 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

Only the candidates who satisfy the NIFT Eligibility Criteria can apply for the entrance exam. Along with the eligibility criteria, aspirants should know the complete NIFT Syllabus 2020. The eligibility conditions for both UG and PG level programs are given below: 

Age Criteria for NIFT:

  • Not more than 23 years as on October 1, 2019, for General candidates (Relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
  • No age limit prescribed for PG programs

Academic Qualification for NIFT Exam 2020:

For B. Des. Program: 

  • Successfully completed or appearing for 10+2 qualifying examination or equivalent from any recognized Board

For B. F. Tech Programme:

  • Successfully completed or appearing for 10+2 qualifying examination or equivalent from any recognized Board, having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as a subject combination

For MFM Programme:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Institute/University.

For M. F. Tech Programme:

  • B. F. Tech. from NIFT, OR, B. E/B. Tech. from a recognized Institute/University.

Documents Required to Apply for NIFT 2020 Application form

Candidates need to have the below-mentioned documents in hand before filling the application form in place

  • Valid Email ID (the email should be valid for at least 1 year)
  • A scanned recent photograph in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 50 KB
  • scanned signature in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 50 KB
  • Demand Draft of the requisite amount as per category
  • Caste / Tribe/ Class certificate (for SC / ST/ OBC candidate) as applicable

How to fill the NIFT Application Form?

The applicant needs to fill their application form for the NIFT 2020 exam online on the official website can follow the below-mentioned steps to fill the application form :

Step 1: Registering for NIFT 2020

  • Register on the official website before proceeding to fill the NIFT 2020 Application Form by clicking on the Fresh Candidate tab(for New login). Details that candidates need to provide to create their NIFT login ID are Name, Date of birth, Category and Email ID.
  •  Upon successful registration, the applicant’s login credentials will be sent via email to the registered email address. Applicants should save this email for future reference.
  • Note that the details provided by the applicant in their login ID cannot be modified at a later stage. Thus, they need to fill this information very carefully.

Step 2: Fill NIFT 2019 Application Form

  • Login using your email id(used in step 1) and DOB to fill up NIFT 2020 Application form
  • Enter the verification code as seen and click on the Submit button.
  • Enter other relevant details like examination center preference, parent’s details, gender, nationality, academic details, address and contact information.
  • After filling all the details click on the declaration “I agree” by clicking on the checkbox next to the statement.
  • Click on the “Save” button after verifying the information.

Step 3: Uploading Photograph & Signature

  •  candidates need to upload their photographs as well as the signature with their NIFT entrance exam application form. Both these files need to be uploaded in jpg/jpeg format and should be less than 50 KB in size.
  • Click on the Next button to continue the application process.

Step 4: Pay NIFT 2020 Application Fee

Applicants can pay their application fee for the NIFT entrance exam online (by means of Credit Card/Debit Card/Netbanking) or by Demand Draft (DD).

  • The NIFT 2020 Application fee for General/OBC-NCL candidates is INR Rs. 2000
  • The NIFT 2020 Application fee for SC/ST and PWD candidates is INR 1000.

Payment through Demand Draft(DD)

  • NIFT Demand Draft drawn in favor of “NIFT HO” and is payable at New Delhi.
  •  The DD for NIFT application form needs to include details such as the candidate’s name, date, fee amount and signature of the issuing authority. 
  • Applicants must send the Demand Draft along with a printout of the filled-in Application Form duly completed in all respects (via Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier Service) to:

  • The candidate must provide the details of their account number along with the pin number in order to pay the application fee through a secure payment gateway. 
  •  Do not press the back or refresh button while the application fee is paid.

Step 5: Take a print of NIFT application form

  • Once the application form has been completely filled, you can take a copy of the application form and keep it safely for future use. Students who are paying the application fee by DD need to send a copy of application form with the DD

Candidate should read the details asked to fill in NIFT online application form given below carefully before filling the form

How many courses can be chosen in the application form for NIFT Entrance Exam?

Candidates can choose only one course while completing their NIFT admissions 2020 application form.

Is it compulsory to take a printout of the NIFT application form 2020?

Candidates who are paying the application fee for the NIFT exam online do not need to necessarily take a print out of their application form. However, candidates submitting their application fee by means of Demand Draft (DD) need to positively take a clear print out of their application form and submit the same along with their Demand Draft (DD) at the address specified by NIFT authorities.

Can the test center be changed after submitting the application form?

No, applicants would not be permitted to make any adjustments to the test cities/ centers they chosen after submitting their NIFT application forms.

Does NIFT provide any relaxation in the OBC category application fee?

No, there is no fee relaxation for applicants in OBC and the general category.
