Application for the FCI will be subject to various Eligibility Criteria as mentioned below. As per the notification 2020, the online tests will comprise Phase I & Phase II exams. Phase I exam will be common for all the posts whereas the exam pattern for the phase II exam will vary according to various posts. Phase I
For Prelims Exam (Phase 1) there are 3 sections- English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Numerical Aptitude. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer from the correct one. A total of 100 questions will be asked for 1 mark each. The time duration for the exam is 60 Minutes (1 Hour). Marks obtained in the phase I exam will not be included while making final merit ranking. Subjects included in Paper 1 are Reasoning/ General Intelligence, English Language, Computer Proficiency, General Awareness, Current Events, data Analysis/ Numerical Ability/ Data Interpretation. The Paper I examination will be Common to below-mentioned Post Codes:
Mains Exam (Phase 2) has different Papers (I, II, III & IV) conduct on the basis of the post applied by the candidates. All Paper (I, II, III & IV) has a total of 120 questions for 1 mark each. The time duration of Paper-II is of 60 Minutes (1 Hour) and the Paper I, II & III are for 90 Minutes (1 Hour, 30 Minutes). The exam will be both Objective and Descriptive. There will a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer from the correct one.
A total of 100 questions will be asked for 1 mark each.
The time duration for the exam is 60 Minutes (1 Hour).
Marks obtained in the phase I exam will not be included while making final merit ranking.
