Before starting on with the detail of FCI Preparation Tips, generally, experts recommend the examinees to have a proper idea of the exam pattern. As specified in the FCI Recruitment 2019, there are 3 phases of Exams for this recruitment process. There are three phases of recruitment for this Food Corporation of India (FCI) 2019.

FCI Syllabus 2019

  • Online Prelims Examination (Common for All)- Phase I
  • Online Mains Exam (For Different Posts)- Phase II
  • Skill Test (Wherever Applicable) & Document Verification- Phase III

Phase I (Prelims Exam)

Online Prelims Exam which is common for all candidates who applied for the FCI Exam-

  • The exam is in Objective Form
  • Each right answer carry one (1) marks
  • For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth (1/4)
  •  If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no negative marking for that question

  • Paper-I is common for post code A, B, F, G, H and I.
  • Paper-III is common for postcode D and E.

Phase III (Skill Test and Document Verification)

Candidates applying for the Post of Typist (Hindi) (Post Code-E) will need to take Paper – III in Phase II for Online Test.

  • Thereafter the candidates will go with a Skill-Test in typing in Hindi which will be of qualifying nature
  • The candidates shall be informed about the venue of the skill/typing test through the website (www.fci.gov.in)
  • Moreover, the final merit for the post of Typist (Hindi) will be decided on the basis of Phase-III subject to qualifying the Skill Test.
  • However, for the Document Verification candidates have to take all legal certificates with them to the Exam center in the last Phase of the Exam.
