CTET 2018 – Central Teacher Eligibility Test

About CTET

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts all India Entrance exam for teachers which is known as CTET. It is conducted two times a year. Approximately 10 lakh candidates apply for the exam every year.

CTET 2018 Notification

CTET Notification 2018 is released on 12th June. As per the official notification published on website. The online application process will start from 1st August 2018 and will continue till 27th August 2018. All prospective candidates have to submit their application fee before 30th August 2018.

CTET Vacancy

CTET does not announces the vacancies as this is not a recruitment drive. Upon clearing CTET Exam you will be eligible to apply for teaching in various government exam through your CTET Score Card which will be valid for 1 year.

CTET Application Form – How to apply

  • Click on the Direct Link to Apply above or follow the below given steps
  • Log on to the official website of ctet i.e; www.ctet.nic.in
  • Click on apply online
  • Register for CTET, then save this registration number for further process
  • Instructions will be displayed on the screen. Go through them carefully, CTET 2018 Application Form will appear on the screen. 
  • Fill in the Online Application with all the particulars
  • Click on next, Upload scanned copies of photographs and a signature
  • Now deposit the application fees through Online payment mode like net banking, challan, Debit-card, debit card.
  • Click on the submit button
  • Take out the hard copy of the application form for future reference

CTET Application Fees

The Unreserved category i.e. Gen/OBC has to pay Rs.1200 for ( Both I and II paper) and Rs.700 if they want to give any one of the Paper. The reserved category i.e. SC/ST/PH has to pay Rs.600 (Both I and II Paper)  and Rs. 350 if they want to give either Paper I or II

CTET Selection Process

As per the CBSE guidelines, candidates will be selected as per their performance in the CTET Online examination. Candidates should pass with the minimum qualifying marks of 60 % or above to qualify the exam. 

  • Paper I: The paper I is for those candidates who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V
  • Paper II: The Paper II is for those candidates who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII
