"There were 33 languages in sections 1A and 1B. Section 2 domain subjects are updated to 27 subjects last year.

What is CUET and CUET Full Form?

CUET full form is Common University Entrance Test.

It is an entrance exam conducted to admit 12th graders into undergraduate programs across 250+ prestigious central, state, deemed and private universities across India. 

Previous Year's CUET Registrations Data

CUET 2023 Registrations increased by four lakhs from its debut year. 

Following the conclusion of the registration process for the CUET 2023 exam, a total of 16.85 lakh registrations have been received, of which 13.99 lakh candidates have submitted the application form. 

The number of female candidates has risen by 50% in registrations, while male candidates had a 34% rise. 

• The University of Delhi remains the people's choice, receiving 28 lakh applications for 73 of its UG courses retaining its position at the top.  
• More universities such as BHU (8.8 lakhs), Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (4.1 lakhs), University of Allahabad (3.1 lakhs) and Jamia Milia Islamia (2.6 lakhs) are the top 5 preferred universities in CUET 2023.
• Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Bihar are the top states for CUET 2023 registrations.  
• An increase of 31 % was recorded in the northeastern region. (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim).    
• Among the southern states, the highest number of applications were received from Kerala, with 56,111 registrations, and the second highest was recorded from Tamil Nadu, with 24,462 registrations.

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria [Educational Qualification & Age limit]

To be eligible to apply for the CUET, you must satisfy specific eligibility criteria set by the exam conducting body which can be different for each participating university.

The expected CUET Eligibility Criteria for the courses are enlisted below. 

• All Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the exam. (foreign candidates, NRI, and OCI candidates can also apply for CUET)
• For UG courses, you must have completed class 12 with qualifying marks set by the university. 
• Visit the official website of CUET UG as per requirement. 

You are advised to visit the official website of the respective college that you wish to apply, as the eligibility requirements can change from college to college and may also differ for every UG program.

CUET 2024 Application form

You can follow the instructions below while completing the CUET Application Form 2024.

• The online window to register for the exam shall appear on the screen after clicking the "click here to apply" button on the official website.
• Once you click the "new register" button, the commonly asked registration fields such as name, mobile number, and E-mail ID shall appear on the screen.
• You will receive the username and password to the registered mobile number and E-mail upon successful registration.
• It would be best to correctly fill in all mandatory fields like qualification details, communication details, parent details, exam centre preferences, and category.
• The next step is to upload your photograph, signature, and other required documents as per the specifications given in the official notification.
• Once selected, click the "save & proceed" button and preview the online form.
• Next, click the "make payment" button and pay the application fee per your category.

CUET 2024 Admit Card/Hall Ticket

The Common Universities Entrance Test Admit Card will be on the official website 10-15 before the exam.

• You can download the CUET admit card online by using your login credentials.
• Go to the official website. 
• Click on the ‘download CUET admit card’ link.
• Enter your registration ID and Date of birth in the given space
• Click on the Login button
• The hall ticket will be displayed on the screen
• Download the admit card and take a printout for future use
• You must carry the CUET Admit Card to the exam centre without fail. Otherwise, you are not allowed to take the exam.

CUET 2024 City Intimation Slip

In order to properly plan and prepare for the CUET 2024 exam, the CUET Exam City Slip gives candidates a breakdown of the exam centres according to the specific exam dates.

The CUET UG City Intimation Slip 2024 (also sometimes referred to as the CUET Exam City Slip 2024) lists the various cities in which the CUET Entrance Examinations will be conducted for all phases of the CUET 2024 Exam.

CUET 2024 Exam Pattern

CUET 2024 Marking Scheme

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5) 
• Any incorrect option marked will be given: minus one mark (-1). 
• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given: no mark (0). 
• If more than one option is found to be correct, then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only -

Is there a Negative Marking in CUET 2024?

Yes! For every wrong answer, you will lose one mark!

Here's how the marking scheme for CUET works, even when there are discrepancies:

• If all options are found to be correct, then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.  
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks. 
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

NTA CUET 2024 Answer Key

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the final answer key within 20 days after completing the Common Universities Entrance Test.

Authorities will release the provisional answer key after the completion of the exam. With the help of the provisional answer key, you can verify all the answers and raise objections if you find any discrepancies.

Considering the objections raised, authorities will modify the responses (if required) and release the final answer key.

Note that you cannot raise objections against the final answer key.

CUET 2024 Normalization Process

Normalization is a process that is used to adjust scores on a test so that the marks can be compared to those of other students no matter what the scale or level of difficulty of the test is.  

In the case of CUET, normalization is used to make sure that students from across India are on the same playing field. 

• Step 1: First, Raw Scores are converted into Percentile Scores using the formula below:  

Percentile Score = Number of candidates who appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than T score / Total Number of candidates who appeared in the session

• Step 2: Each session's results would be prepared in the form of - 

1. Provisional answer key 
2. Official answer key
3. Raw Scores 
4. Percentiles Scores of Total raw scores.

The formula below will be used to determine the percentiles for each candidate in the session. 

Percentile Score of total raw score = Number of candidates who appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the highest score / Total Number of candidates who appeared in the session * 100

• Step 3: Calculation of the Normalized Score using Interpolation 

The raw score obtained by the student is compared to the percentile values of all the other students, and the percentile value which is closest to the student’s raw score is taken as the student's percentile value.

NTA CUET 2024 Result

Generally, the NTA will announce the results a month after completing the exam, which is released in PDF form.

You can download the NTA CUET Exam Result 2024 pdf using your registration ID and date of birth.

• Enter your registration ID and Date of birth in the given space
