A large proportion of Central Universities currently admit students based on class 12 marks through CUET. The concern with the merit system was that it wasn't evaluating the students on equal grounds. Different educational boards have different scoring systems. This makes the admission process uneven in terms of opportunity and demographics, so the CUET UG exam was introduced to reduce the high cut-off standards for entering these prestigious colleges.
Check: How is CUET going to open doors to many opportunities?
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) offers admission to eligible candidates for various courses in undergraduate. The admission process consists of 2 parts, the pre-admission formalities, such as filling out the online application forms and getting the required documents ready and the actual selection process, including the entrance exam, interview etc. After successful completion of the admission process, each successful candidate is required to go through pre-joining formalities like enrollment, hostel registration and orientation before he/she can join the university.
