  1. JNU offers admissions in UG and COP Programmes (B.A. (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, B.Sc. Programme in Ayurveda Biology, and Certificate of Proficiency programmes) for the academic session 2024-25 through the CUET exam in the School of Language, Literature & Cultural Studies and in the School of Sanskrit & Indic Studies.
  2. Admissions to these programmes will be made through CUET (UG)-2024, which NTA will conduct.
  3. You must apply online for the CUET (UG) exam on the NTA's official website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/).
  4. You must satisfy the eligibility criteria for  UG/COP programmes in the university and take the Subjects/Tests prescribed for admission to these programmes. 
  5. You will not be admitted to these programmes if you do not appear in the prescribed Subjects/Tests.
  6. Deprivation points are given to those eligible as per university guidelines.
  7. The Government of India's Reservation Policy applies to those belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD categories.
  8. For JNU admission through CUET, you may apply separately once the NTA CUET results are declared.

Deprivation Points Criteria in JNU Admission through CUET 

1- Deprivation Points (up to a maximum of 12 points over the CBT score marks on a scale of 100) are given if you belong to the following categories mentioned below. 

2- You would get separate points for each educational level i.e. 10th/High School/Matriculation/12th level/ Intermediate and B.A./B.Sc. from either a Quartile 1 or Quartile 2 District as given below:

  • If you reside in Districts I or II of Quartile I and have passed or are scheduled to appear in your respective qualifying examinations through the Distant Education program may also be awarded deprivation points, depending on the situation. You ought to mention the State.
  • District and District Code are located in the corresponding Application Form columns. Additionally, in the appropriate CUET application column, you must state that you have passed the qualifying exam and/or appeared in it through the Distance Education program.
  • All Kashmiri Migrants are eligible for 05 deprivation points with relevant registration documents from the notified authorities certifying their Kashmiri Migrant Status.
  • All female/Transgender candidates are eligible for these points as per details given below:

  • Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi's admission branch, will release a notice when exam results are published. 
  • The notice will include information about the admission branch processing data/ details/results of candidates provided by NTA and shall open the portal shortly.
