CUET DU Admission: Important Dates 2025

The University of Delhi will announce admissions for UG Admissions for the academic year 2025-26 once the CUET exam concludes. You can also find the DU UG admission info on the official admission portal of the university.

CUET DU Admission spot round - 

  • The University will display the vacant seats on the DU admission portal. 

  • If you had applied for CSAS (UG-2025) and were not admitted to any college on the date and time of declaration of vacant seats for SPOT Admission round-1, you can participate. 
  • You cannot withdraw your admission on the SPOT DU UG Admission round-I announcement.
  • To be considered in the SPOT DU UG Admission Round—I, you must opt for "SPOT Round—I" through their dashboard. 
  • You can choose any or all programs in as many colleges as you wish, subject to seat availability. 
  • You must be admitted to the seat allocated in the SPOT DU UG Admission Round. Otherwise, I will forfeit the candidate's eligibility for admission to UoD. 
  • There will be no option for "Upgrade" and "Withdraw" during the SPOT DU Admission 2025 Round - I.
  • The seat allocated in the SPOT DU UG admission round - I will be final. 

Candidates who opt for an upgrade in any of the Supremerary quotas will only be considered for the upgrade in that particular supernumerary quota. 

  • The schedule for Sports - II will be declared later. 
  • The university may announce more Spot Admission Rounds for CUET DU admission later if required.

CUET DU Admission Process 

The admission process at DU through CUET will be conducted in 3 phases through the DU admission portal - 

1-CUET DU Admission Form 2025 Phase 1: CSAS Form filling on the DU admission portal

You must enter the basic details in the exam application form to register for the admission process for CUET DU 2025 using the official website. 

2-CUET DU UG Admission Process Phase 2: Course and College Preferences

  • Once the CUET answer key challenge is completed and the results are announced, the Delhi University phase 2 admission process starts (preference filling) soon after.
  • You must choose the course and college you wish to apply to. 
  • The correction window will also be opened; ensure to make the necessary changes (if needed) except for the name, photograph, signature, gender, email ID, Ph. No and Caste. 

3-UG admission at DU Phase 3: Seat allotment and admission

  • The final stage is releasing the selected candidates' seat allotment list and the merit list.
  • You can expect a minimum of three counselling rounds (DU 1st merit list, DU 2nd merit list, and DU 3rd merit list), and the rest depends on the number of vacant seats available. 
  • Last year, 3 normal rounds of the counselling process, 2 spot counselling rounds and 2 special counselling rounds were conducted. 

Once the DU Admission Merit List is out, you must upload your exam scores and other documents required in the CSAS tool for verification during the seat allotment and counselling procedures.

CUET DU Admission Process 2025: Preference Filling Process

  • The first step in the admission process is to fill out the application form available on the CUET portal.
  • Ensure you fill out the application after checking the program and course-specific eligibility requirements. 

CUET 2024 Results

After the CUET cut-off is released, final exam scores will be announced, and the CSAS admission process will begin; this is the second phase of the DU admission process. 

Program Selection

  • Login into the CSAS portal and go to the program section.
  • Select all the UG programs of your choice.
  • You can select any number of programs you wish to be admitted to.

Confirmation of program 

  • You need to confirm the program-specific score for all the programs selected.

College and program preferences

  • You must select the programs and college combinations since the order of selection determines the order of preference.
  • You can reorder the preference order to prioritize it.
  • The submitted preference order will determine the allocation of seats.

  • Around 200 Bachelor of Arts (BA) program combinations are offered in various DU colleges.
  • You must carefully select the combinations and rank the order of preferences for the BA program combinations.

Confirming the preferences

  • You must confirm the order of preferences by clicking on 'submit' on or before the last day.
  • You can also reorder the preferences of the selected combinations before the deadline.
  • If you do not submit the preferences, the last saved preference order will be locked automatically when you reach the deadline.

Steps to Complete Phase 2 for CUET DU Admissions

Follow the steps below to complete the second phase of DU admissions 2025 through the Common University Entrance Test.

  • Step 1: Visit the CUET DU Admission 2025 Portal.
  • Step 2: Click on the DU CSAS portal to log in.
  • Step 3: Login using the registration credentials created, i.e., CUET Application Number and password
  • Step 4: Click on the link to enter the percentile, scores, and choices as per preference.
  • Step 5: Enter the percentile and CUET score in the respective fields
  • Step 6: Submit the choice of course and college as per your preference to be eligible for the CUET counselling process

How is the DU Merit list calculated? 

DU conducts admission through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) in three phases, namely:

  • Submission of the CSAS application form
  • Selection of programs and filling of preferences
  • Seat allocation and admission

You are advised to select as many programs as possible. Choosing the maximum number of programs and programme+college combinations is in your best interest.

  • It is advisable that the candidate must fill out the CSAS (UG) form carefully. 
  • The university will auto-calculate the program-specific merit score per the DU eligibility criteria 2025 for CUET, and you must confirm your scores before choosing the preferences.
  • Calculate your scores after going through the CUET response sheet and marks calculation process officially sanctioned by the university.
  • Only "raw scores" by NTA will be considered for DU's counselling process to prepare the merit list. 

CUET DU Admission Eligibility Criteria for UG Programs

The common eligibility criteria are to complete class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board of education. 

  • The applicant must be Indian
  • The applicant should have passed class 12, recognized by AIU. 
  • The applicant's year gap doesn't matter. 
  • 10% of supernumerary seats are reserved for foreign candidates. 
  • Candidates from Sikh and Christian communities can seek admission from the minority quota. Even these candidates must appear for CUET. 
  • SOL and NCWEB students' admissions are based on class 12 marks.

  • All candidates (including those applying for supernumerary seats) must register for CUET at https://cuet.samarth.ac.in to be admitted to undergraduate programs at the University of Delhi.

Delhi University Reservation Policy 2025

CUET DU admission 2025 is based on reservation policies set by authorities: 

  1. Reservation policy for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Candidates: 22.5% of the total number of seats is reserved for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (15% for Scheduled Caste and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, interchangeable if necessary).
  2. Reservation policy for Other Backward Classes (OBC, Non-Creamy Layer, Central List): 27% of seats are reserved for the Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non-Creamy Layer, Central List. 
  3. Reservation policy for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): As per the University of Delhi notifications (Reference No. Aca. I / Reservation of EWSs / 2019/ 63 Dated 28th March 2019 and Reference No. Aca.
