What is IPMAT Indore?

IIM Indore conducts the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) for admission into 5-year integrated management programs.

Similarly, IIM Rohtak also conducts the IPMAT Rohtak exam annually. The exam allows you to hone your skills in quantitative ability, verbal ability and data interpretation, which helps you develop a strong foundation for the IPM course.

IPMAT is a dual-degree programme that IIM Indore offers that combines a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. The curriculum is intended for students who want to pursue careers in management and business.

A personal interview will follow the online IPMAT in 2023. (PI). There are 15 terms in the programme, which is spaced out across five years. 

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) will also accept IPMAT scores for its Integrated Course in Management.

At the end of the programme, candidates obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) and a Master of Business Administration (International Business).

IPMAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria will vary for both domestic and international applicants. If you are interested in applying for the exam, you must satisfy the IIM IPM Eligibility.

IIM Indore Exam Eligibility Criteria

Age: You should be born on or after August 01, 2003 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given).

Qualifying Exam: You should have passed Standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022 or 2023.

Minimum Percentage (%) of marks:

You should have a minimum of 60% in standard X/ SSC (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category).

Note: Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

If selected, such candidates will be offered admission to the program provisionally. At the time of registration for the program, such candidate must have to produce standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations mark sheet (securing minimum marks, as indicated above) along with a school leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s provisional admission offer will stand cancelled.

IIM Rohtak Exam Eligibility Criteria

You must satisfy the following criteria to apply.

General, NC-OBC and EWS Category: You must score a minimum of 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.

SC, ST and PWD (DAP) Category: You must score a minimum of 55% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.  

Age: You should be a maximum of 20 years of age as on June 30, 2023. 

Note 1: Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of June 2023 can also apply, subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria after the declaration of results (only in the case of the XIIth standard) as mentioned above. If selected, such candidates will be offered admission to the program provisionally. At the time of registration for the program, such candidates must produce X and XII standard mark sheets (securing minimum marks, i.e. 60% for General, EWS, and NCOBC or 55% for SC, ST, and PWD) along with school leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s admission offer stands cancelled.

Note 2: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of the best five subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation. In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grade points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to the percentage of marks of the best five subjects would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.

IIM Ranchi Exam Eligibility Criteria

Note: IIM Ranchi admission is based on scores of IPMAT only (conducted by IIM Indore). SAT scores will no longer be accepted for admission into IPM Ranchi program from 2023 onwards.

The Institute reserves the right to change/ modify the admission process/ criteria.

Satisfy the eligibility requirements of the IPM Indore exam to seek admission to IIM Ranchi.

IIM Jammu Exam Eligibility Criteria

• You should have passed Standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examination in 2021,2022, or 2023. 
• You should have a minimum of 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations (55% for the candidates from the SC/ST/ PwD category). 
• Applicants pursuing their XII standard from international schools affiliated with foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.

IIM Bodh Gaya Exam Eligibility Criteria

• You should have passed the 10+2/ XII/HSC examination in the arts/commerce/science stream or equivalent with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) or more in the year 2021, 2022 or 2023.
• Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent this academic year can also apply. The candidate must have passed the class 10th examination with 60% (55% for candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Transgender).
• The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in Class X and Class XII would be calculated based on the Board’s regulation. Suppose there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned board. In that case, the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet should be considered for calculating the passing percentage.
• The application of the candidates appearing in the Class XII examination will be provisional until their Class XII results. The candidates who do not score the requisite score above will be considered to be out of the admission process.

IPM Exam Eligibility for International Applicants

International aspirants can also apply for admission to IIM Indore through SAT.

You are eligible to apply for the IIM Indore IPM 2023 Exam if you satisfy the following criteria:

• Education Qualification: You should have passed Standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examination.
• Age: You must have been born on or after August 01, 2003, to apply for the exam.
• Minimum Percentage of Marks: You should have scored 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
• Valid SAT Score: A minimum of 1300 marks are required in SAT exam to be eligible for IPMAT.

IPMAT 2023 Seat Intake and Reservation Policy

The Government of India has implied a fixed percentage for seat reservations of different categories. Check the table below.

IPMAT 2023 Selection Process

The IPMAT Selection Process is a two-step process different for domestic and international applicants. Go through the detailed selection process given in the post below.

IIM Indore Selection Process 2023

Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online.
Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 34 cities (tentatively).
Stage 3: The candidates with positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the three sections of the Aptitude Test are shortlisted for the next round. 
Stage 4: Sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interviews (PI)
Stage 5: Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category-wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS), and the merit list will be published. 

IIM Rohtak Selection Process 2023

Stage I: Online Registration 

(i) Interested applicants who fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility criteria will fill out the registration form that evaluates the applicant’s proficiency in academics and extra-curricular activities. 
(ii) The eligible applicants will pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 4175/- (Four Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Five Only)

Stage II: IPM Aptitude Test (IPM AT 2023) 

(i) All the interested applicants will undergo IIM Rohtak’s IPM Aptitude Test, which will examine the applicant's aptitude, logical reasoning, and proficiency in English.
(ii) IPM AT 2023 to be conducted on May 20, 2023, from 9 AM onwards.

Stage III: Online Personal Interview (PI)

(i) The Call for Online Personal Interviews (PI) announcement will be done in the First Week of June 2023. The shortlisting will be based on the IPM AT 2023 scores.
(ii) The candidates, during their personal interviews, will be judged based on their academics, general awareness, and communication skills.
(iii) The interviews are proposed to be held in the Second Week of June 2023 (Tentative)

Stage IV: Announcement of Selection List and Offer Acceptance

The final Merit List will be generated based on the composite score of IPM AT 2023, Past Academics, and Personal Interviews. 

IIM Ranchi Selection Process 2023

Students clearing the IPM Indore test will be selected for the IPM Ranchi program. SAT scores are no longer valid. 

IIM Jammu Selection Process 2023

The selection process of IIM Jammu consists of:

• The Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
• The Merit list will be prepared based on JIPMAT Score and gender diversity.

IIM Bodh Gaya Selection Process 2023

The admission to IPM would be through a Joint IPM Admission Test (JIPMAT 2023) and other parameters. The JIPMAT 2023 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. 

Merit List: The candidates, who scored more than or equal to category-wise sectional percentile 30, will be eligible for the Merit List. Sectional raw scores will also be subjected to minimum qualifying requirements (the same will be decided after the result is based on the available pool of candidates).

IPM 2023 Application Form

The application process for the IPM Rohtak exam will start on 6th February 2023. You can fill out the application form only through online mode.

Note that all international or national applicants have to follow the same application process for IPMAT.

• Visit the official website of respective IIMs. 
• Click on the Registration link.
• Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, and E-mail ID
• Click on the "Submit" button.
• You will receive the user ID and password through registered E-mail and SMS.
• Then, you need to re-login to the site by using the credentials.
• Enter all the required details in the application form correctly.
• The last step is to pay the application fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
• After the payment is updated, submit the application form.
• You must submit valid and attested certificates supporting your reservation category if you belong to the reserved category.

NBFA Scheme of IIM Indore

IIM Indore provides financial assistance to those in need through the NBFA (Need-Based Financial Assistance) Scheme.

• The main aim of this scheme is to ensure that no aspirant is deprived of education due to financial reasons. 
• To be eligible to apply for the NBFA, your annual family income should be below INR 9,00,000.
• If you are eligible to apply for the IIM Indore NBFA, you must fill out the application form available in the PGP/IPM office.
• Based on the details provided in the application form, your financial need will be assessed, and then you will be called for personal interaction with the NBFA committee.
• If you have applied through the EWS quota but have secured the seat through general or any other quota, you can also apply for NBFA.

IPMAT 2023 Exam Pattern

As per the IPMAT Exam Pattern, the exam is conducted online mode. IPMAT Admissions are made through a 3 stage selection process, as explained below.

IPMAT Indore Exam Pattern 

There will be three sections in the Aptitude Test, namely Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ).
Each question will carry 4 marks.
There will be a negative marking of 1 negative mark for each wrong answer except Quantitative Ability (SA) Section (these questions will not carry any negative marking).

The admit card for the exam will be available for download on the official website. IPMAT Admit Card 2023 is published 10 days before the exam date.

IIM will publish the IPMAT Result 2023 on the official website. The results were published in the form of a PDF.

The scorecard is released along with the result. It includes the scores and percentile obtained by you in each section of the paper, along with the overall scores and percentile.

Based on the IPM Indore result, you will get shortlisted for the personal assessment round.
